The Tale of Pumpkin Johnny Part 4

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of our Walkthrough for The Tale of Pumpkin Johnny Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you followed Barnaby to make sure he is okay. Unfortunately, by the time you got to him, he was already pumpkined by Pumpkin Johnny. After taking him to the Hospital Wing, you met with your friends in the courtyard to discuss the situation.

While you were there, Merula approached you and said she had a terrible nightmare about Pumpkin Johnny. You agreed to go with her to the Dueling Room, and shortly after you got there, both of you were attacked by Pumpkin Johnny. Thankfully, you weren’t injured, and Tulip found you after a while and took you to the Hospital Wing.

Sadly, none of your friends had much luck with their investigation. However, they did learn that Pumpkin Johnny was seen several times at the edge of the Forbidden Forest, so you decided to go there and see if you could find anything. Proceed to Forest Grove when you are ready.

Since the adventure is available for students of Year 3 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]

Sadly, you won’t find any clues. Still, you’ll be convinced there is something you overlooked.

Tulip will ask if you really think you can find something in the forest. There are three options to reply with. This choice won’t have any big impact on the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Moments later, you will spot a piece of paper on the ground. It will look just like the other Pumpkin Johnny notes.

You’ll tell your friends to search the area and see if there’s anything else there. Searching the area requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Ben, Tulip, and the tree roots. Prioritize those actions to save energy.

When you are done, you’ll find the Pumpkin Johnny costume behind a fallen tree. One of your previous choices will take effect here.

Ben will find it hard to believe that everything was just a prank. You’ll decide to take the costume and go back to school to discuss your next move.

You will need to wait four hours before you can continue. Since you will probably be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime. Go to the Artefact Room once the waiting time is over.

When you get there, you’ll decide to come up with a plan to catch the person who hid the costume.

Devising a plan requires earning five stars within three hours. All of the stars are needed to pass.

There are actions with bonus progress linked to Ben and your character. Focus on those actions to save energy.

You will decide to head back to the forest and wait for the prankster to show up. One of your friends will dress up as Pumpkin Johnny and give the prankster a proper scare.

Ben won’t seem to like the plan. He will suggest telling everything to the teachers. There are three options to reply with. This choice won’t significantly impact the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

In the end, Ben will agree to proceed with your plan. However, he’ll make it clear that he doesn’t want to wear the costume.

Tulip will be more than happy to dress up as Pumpkin Johnny. By the looks of it, Tonks also wants to wear the costume. Tulip will explain why that isn’t such a good idea.

All that’s left is to go back to the Forbidden Forest and find out who’s been pranking people. Head to the Forest Grove when you are ready to continue.

Once you arrive, you’ll ask your friends if they are ready. Tonks will be eager to find out who’s been pranking people dressed up as Pumpkin Johnny.

Suddenly, she will hear something. You’ll quickly tell your friends to hide.

Moments later, you’ll spot Merula and Ismelda. Apparently, the two of them are behind Pumpkin Johnny attacks.

By the looks of it, Merula wants to prank a few more people. Shortly after, Tulip will step in front of them and give them a proper scare.

Ismelda will fall down and hurt her ankle. Unlike her, Merula won’t be willing to go down without a fight.

You’ll quickly step out before things get out of hand.

Merula will say that you didn’t fool her. However, Tonks won’t believe her.

Tulip will remove the pumpkin head. You’ll ask if she is all right. Thankfully, she wasn’t injured.

She’ll tell you that wearing the pumpkin head wasn’t pleasant, to say the least.

Merula will be quite angry to be on the receiving end of a prank. You’ll ask her to come clean and tell you everything.

Questioning Merula and Ismelda is your next task. You need to earn five stars within three hours (eight hours for students past Year 6 Chapter 24) to complete it. Three stars are required to pass.

There are actions with bonus progress tied to Ismelda, Tonks, and your character. Prioritizing those actions should save you some energy.

In the end, Merula will admit she got scared. You’ll tell her you want to know why she decided to dress up as Pumpkin Johnny and scare people.

She’ll say that everything started in Hagrid’s garden. Hagrid’s story gave her the idea to prank you and your friends. She even pretended to have a nightmare.

The choice you made while talking to Merula in the courtyard will take effect here.

Merula will also say that she had nothing to do with the nightmares. She’ll then say that Ismelda got hurt because of you.

You’ll remind her she attacked Tulip with the Knockback Jinx. Sadly, she won’t seem to care.

Ben will say it is not nice to play mean tricks on others. You’ll agree with him.

You will then get to decide what to do with Merula. There are three options to choose from. If you like Merula, it is recommended to pick the third option.

Shortly after, you’ll remember that the pumpkin party will be starting soon. Go to the lakeshore when you are ready to attend the party.

Hagrid will be the first one to greet you. You’ll notice a lot of people having a good time at the party.

Your previous choice will affect the following lines of dialogue.

Hagrid will tell you there is a new crop of pumpkins growing in his garden. You’ll be happy to hear that.

You will also say you are glad that the mystery is solved. Hagrid will blame himself for telling the Pumpkin Johnny story in the first place.

You’ll be curious to know where he heard that story. He’ll say that he might’ve made it up. However, there is a chance he heard the story when he was young.

Shortly after, Hagrid will tell you to enjoy the party with your friends.

You need to earn five stars within eight hours to complete this task. All five stars are required to pass.

As always, prioritize actions with bonus progress to save energy.

When you are done, Merula and Ismelda will approach you. Your previous choice will take effect here.

You’ll ask Merula why she destroyed Hagrid’s pumpkins. She’ll tell you she had nothing to do with that.

She’ll also say she wasn’t the one who drew the Pumpkin Johnny face on the wall.

Shortly after, Merula and Ismelda will go back to the party. You’ll realize that Ben is nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly, someone dressed up as Pumpkin Johnny will approach you. You’ll assume it is Ben.

He will ask if you’ve learned your lesson. There are two options to choose from. If you say ‘Yes’, Pumpkin Johnny will be satisfied with your answer. If you say ‘No’ he will say he’s going to visit you soon.

Moments later, Pumpkin Johnny will go away. Not long after that, Ben will approach you.

You’ll just stand there for a while, completely speechless.

Apparently, Ben wasn’t the one dressed up as Pumpkin Johnny. He’ll smile and advise you to try some pumpkin pasties.

The two of you will then wish each other a Happy Halloween.

This will conclude Part 4 of The Tale of Pumpkin Johnny adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 4 Gems, 1000 Experience points, 3 Chocolate Frogs, and Pumpkin Johnny outfit.

You’ll earn the achievement for completing the adventure.

The Pumpkin Johnny costume will be unlocked in your wardrobe.
