Chapter 10 – Among Friends

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Ten of Year Three of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous chapter, you made some final preparations before heading on a curse-breaking adventure.

You chose one friend to help you with distracting Madam Pince so that you could get inside the restricted section and look for the vault. However, before you were able to enter, Merula showed up and you were forced to duel her once again.

After defeating her, with a help of your friends, you managed to find the entrance to the cursed vault within the restricted section of the library. As soon as you entered, you were attacked by three Voldemort Boggarts.

Thanks to your quick thinking you managed to fend them off and save your friends. However, you had to fight one of them in a duel. It wasn’t easy, but thanks to your magical skills and abilities, you emerged victoriously.

Afterward, you used Jacob’s broken wand on a column inside the vault. It opened, revealing the arrow and a map of the Forbidden Forest. With your fears conquered and the curse broken, Hogwarts is once again safe, thanks to you.

Your next story task is meeting your friends at the Three Broomsticks for a celebration, but since there is a waiting period of three hours, you might as well focus on the lessons part of the chapter first. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Training Grounds when you are ready.

In order to unlock the Diving Lesson, you need to earn a total of nine stars from the Flying Classes. There are many different ways to do it. One of the quickest ways involves doing three three-hour classes.

However, if you have time to spare, you might want to consider doing two eight-hour classes to gain some additional rewards. In the end, select the class combination that suits you best and hit Start to begin.

Do these classes in the usual way. Tap on the various glowing objects in order to complete actions and fill up the star meter. Prioritize bonus progress actions to save energy.

Also, pay attention to the mini-tasks since successfully completing each of those will award you ten Courage points.

When you are done, hit the Collect button to continue. After unlocking the Diving lesson, you can head back to the Training Grounds to attend it.

You need to earn five stars within eight hours to complete this lesson. Since all five stars are required to pass, you might want to consider having full energy prior to starting the lesson.

Approach this lesson in a similar manner to the classes you had beforehand and you shouldn’t have any trouble with it.

When you earn the fifth star, you’ll be tasked with performing a dive. Trace the path on the screen to perform this maneuver.

Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards and continue. Completing this lesson will increase your maximum energy by one. You can also claim an additional reward in the Flying section of your Hogwarts Record.

Now that you’re done with the lessons for this year, you can proceed to Hogsmeade to celebrate with your friends.

Once you get inside the Three Broomsticks, you’ll notice that some of the characters have something to say. You can interact with them by tapping on their speech bubbles.

When you are done with that, you’ll notice all of your friends waiting for you. Tulip will be the first one to greet you cheerfully.

You will find out that Professor Snape is investigating, because Merula told him about Madam Pince, the Restricted Section, and the Cursed Vault. Ben will mention that there is no proof for anything Merula mentioned to him, and Madam Pince is too proud to admit what happened.

You’ll explain to your friends that in the last Cursed Vault, you’ve found a hand-drawn map of the Forbidden Forest and an arrow that’s missing the arrowhead. The letter “R” is written on the corner of the map. The same person that wrote to Ben in the first year.

Rowan will imply that Ben must remember something from the time he was frozen in the cursed ice. Ben will say that he doesn’t. He’ll ask if you believe him. You have two response options.

Each option will award you with five attribute points. However, if you choose to trust Ben, Rowan will get slightly upset. On the other hand, if you agree with Rowan, Ben will get sad, so take your pick.

No matter the option you pick, Bill will remind everyone that you are here to celebrate. This exactly will be your next task. Completing it requires earning five stars within three hours. Only one star is needed to pass, so it shouldn’t be hard to accomplish.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Madam Rosmerta and Penny. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.

When you are done, Hagrid will show up accompanied by Professor Dumbledore. The Headmaster will ask to see you in his office.

There is a waiting period of eight hours before you can proceed. Once you are able to continue, go to the Headmaster’s office in the West Towers.

You’ll then get a new task to discuss the events related to the Vault of Fear. You need to earn five stars within eight hours to complete this task. One star is required to pass.

Once again, prioritize bonus progress actions if you want to save some energy.

The Headmaster will explain why he wasn’t around lately. He’ll say that he was looking for the world’s finest Curse-Breaker. Apparently, that Curse-Breaker was once a student at Hogwarts. She will be coming to Hogwarts when the next year starts.

Professor Dumbledore will once again advise you against breaking school rules. Still, given that you did it to break the curse and save everyone at Hogwarts, he will award you with one hundred House Points.

This will also be the end of Chapter 10 of Year 3. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 250 Coins and 1100 Experience points.

The third year of your Hogwarts studies is nearing its end. Only one chapter remains.
