Chapter 15 – Dark secrets
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Fifteen of Year Four of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery! Last time, you met with your friends and discussed the plan for the next Cursed Vault. You came to the conclusion that it is most likely guarded by an Acromantula, a horrific giant spider that is one of the most dangerous inhabitants of the forest.
You studied these terrifying creatures with Rowan in the Library in order to prepare yourself for what’s to come. Also, Professor Kettleburn was kind enough to provide you with some interesting information about Acromantulas.
Afterward, you practiced your dueling skills with Charlie and learned the Spider Repelling Charm from Madam Rakepick. Almost all the preparations for your next curse-breaking adventure are complete.

Once you start the chapter, you’ll be met with a waiting period of three hours, so you can start the chapter by finishing the lessons first. Hit the GO button and proceed to the Training Grounds.
To unlock the Extreme Dive and Pull Up lesson, you need to obtain six stars from the Flying classes. The quickest way of accomplishing this involves doing three one-hour classes.
This, however, isn’t a very rewarding way of doing it, so you can instead take two three-hour (or even eight-hour) classes if you want to get some extra rewards and you aren’t in a hurry. Once you’ve made up your mind, hit the Start button to begin.
While doing these classes you should focus on completing actions with bonus progress whenever they are available. That way, the energy usage will be optimized and you’ll be able to complete the class faster.
As always, try your best to successfully do all of the mini-tasks in order to gain some additional Courage points.
After you’re done with the classes, the lesson will be unlocked, so head back to the Training Grounds to attend it.
The Extreme Dive and Pull Up is an eight-hour lesson with the passing requirement of five stars.
Do this lesson just like the classes you took beforehand and you’ll be done quickly and easily.
When you obtain all five stars, you’ll need to demonstrate the Extreme Dive. Trace the path on the screen to perform this move.
Congratulations! You’ve just increased the maximum energy limit by one. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.
For the second lesson of the chapter, proceed to the Herbology classroom.
To unlock the Wormwood lesson, you need to earn six stars from the Herbology classes. Like before, there are numerous ways to do this, so simply pick the one that suits your playstyle best and hit the Start button to begin.
During Herbology, there is usually a fair number of bonus progress actions, so you shouldn’t have a hard time with these classes.
Like before, completing all the mini-tasks can net you some additional Empathy points.
Once you earn a total of six stars, the Wormwood lesson will be unlocked. Head back to the classroom to attend it.
To complete the Wormwood lesson, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are required to pass, you might want to avoid having an empty energy bar prior to starting the lesson.
Approach this one in the same manner as the classes you did before, and you shouldn’t have any trouble with it.
After obtaining all five stars, you’ll be tasked with fertilizing your plant. Trace the path on the screen to do that.
Congratulations! You’re officially done with the Herbology lessons for this year. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You can get an additional reward in the Herbology section of your Hogwarts Record.
Now that both of the lessons are complete, you can resume the story. Tap on the GO button and proceed to Hagrid’s hut.
When you arrive, you’ll notice that the huge part of the hut’s interior is infested with Bundimun.
The reason why Bundimuns appeared is that Hagrid adopted a few of them as pets because he liked their eyes. You will find out that Fang’s favorite toy is buried under of these creatures.
You’ll need to search Hagrid’s hut to find Fang’s favorite chew toy. To do that, you need to earn five stars within an hour. One star is required to pass.
There is a bonus progress action tied to Fang. Prioritize it if you want to save a bit of energy.
Once you are done, you’ll tell Hagrid about your plan. He’ll agree to help, but he can’t do much until the Bundimun infestation in his hut has been dealt with.
Hopefully, you’ll be able to think of something that could help.
You’ll then need to go to the courtyard to meet your friends. Since the following task doesn’t involve spending energy, you can proceed there immediately.
Shortly after you arrive, your friends will be attacked with Petrificus Totalus Charm.
And their attacker is none other than the mysterious Dark Wizard you encountered earlier this year.
You’ll have to duel him in order to protect your friends. Tap on the crossed wands icon to bring up the task window. It will display the recommended attribute levels and the cost of each attempt.
The Dark Wizard is not an easy opponent. He has much more stamina than most of the other opponents you faced so far. Thankfully, the attribute requirements for this duel aren’t too high, which should give you the advantage.
There are a few ways to approach this duel. If either your Empathy or Courage is at least three levels higher than the recommended value, you can simply go Aggressive (in case of Empathy) or Sneaky (in case of Courage) and use Depulso or Flipendo. This will allow you to win the duel in three turns, as long as you don’t get stunned.
However, if your attribute levels are closer to the recommended ones, one of the tactics you can use is to constantly go Aggressive and use Depulso. With some luck, you will be able to win in four turns.
After winning the duel, hit the Collect button to claim your reward and continue.
Moments later, the Dark Wizard will try to hit you with the Blasting Curse. Quickly cast the Shield Charm to deflect it.
Now is the time for a counter-attack. Cast Depulso to send your opponent flying.
Sadly, your enemy is pretty skilled with Charms as he will react fast enough to shield himself from your spell.
He’ll use the opportunity to attack you with Expulso Curse. Once again, use Protego to shield yourself.
This time, however, it won’t be enough. The curse will knock you down and you’ll be lying there at your opponent’s mercy.
Luckily for you, Madam Rakepick will arrive and hit the Dark Wizard with the Blasting Curse. Now, that’s a timely rescue!
After thanking her, you’ll need to use Episkey on your friends to get them back on their feet.
When you heal both of them, Madam Rakepick will suggest using Finite Incantatem to break the Disillusionment Charm on your attacker.
Much to everyone’s surprise, the mysterious Dark Wizard will turn out to be none other than Ben! However, he won’t seem to remember anything.
Madam Rakepick will ask what to do with him. You have three options to reply with. While all of the options lead to the same outcome, it is somewhat recommended to pick the first or the third option if you like Ben.
You’ll have to wait three hours before you can proceed to the next task. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.
You will tell Hagrid what happened in the courtyard. He will be shocked and will advise you to go to your room, but you will be determined to help him with Bundimuns, so he could help you find the vault later.
He’ll then ask if you know how to get rid of Bundimun. Luckily, you learned the Scourgify spell earlier on, so it’s time to put it to good use. Trace the wand movement on the screen to cast this spell.
Thankfully, the spell will work. Now to clean the rest of the hut. To do that, you’ll need to earn five stars within three hours. One star is needed to pass.
For the most part, this one is fairly similar to other story tasks.
Once you fill up one-third of the entire star meter, you’ll be tasked with casting Scourgify.
Repeat this two more times and the entire hut will be cleansed of the Bundimun infection. Hagrid will be overjoyed to see his home tidy and clean.
Shortly after, Chapter 15 of Year 4 will come to an end. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 250 Coins and 1900 Experience points.
Now, this was an exciting Chapter! The fight against the Dark Wizard was thrilling and intense. And the shocking reveal was the cherry on top! Now, the only thing that’s left is heading into the vault. But is it really Acromantula that’s guarding it? And if it is, will you be able to reason with it and talk your way out of it? And just what lies inside the forest vault? Find the answers to all those questions and much more in the next chapter of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!
