Hello everyone. Here is a guide on how to unlock mounts. These will help you traverse the Scottish Highlands. Other than the broom, you can also unlock Flying and Ground mounts.
In order to unlock the Flying Mounts, you need to complete the quest called “The High Keep”. During this quest, you will be helping Natty investigate Theophilus Harlow at Falbarton Castle.
Once you approach the main keep, you will spot Harlow and his poachers restraining Highwing, the Hippogriff you met with Poppy during the “Beast Class” quest.
After going through the castle and getting to the roof, you’ll find Highwing and another Hippogriff chained up.
Thanks to Natty’s help, you’ll be able to free the creatures and escape from Harlow and his poachers.
You’ll then follow Natty on Highwing. This will give you the opportunity to learn the flying mount controls. You will also be rewarded with a breathtaking view.
Shortly after you land, the quest will be completed, and the ability to ride Flying Mounts will be unlocked.
Your initial Flying Mount will be Highwing. If you pre-ordered the game, you will also receive the Onyx Hippogriff. If you own a digital deluxe version of the game, you will receive a Thestral Mount.
The other type of mount you will be able to unlock is the Ground Mount. This mount can be unlocked during the “San Bakar’s Trial” quest. During that quest, you’ll need to subdue the Graphorn called Lord of the Shore, located east of South Clagmar Coast Floo Flames.
When you get there, you will encounter Lord of the Shore, and he won’t be too happy to see you. In other words, you’ll be forced to fight him. You can find the guide for defeating this boss on hard difficulty HERE.
Once you subdue Lord of the Shore, you’ll gain the ability to ride Graphorn Mount.
While riding Graphorn, you will be able to initiate a powerful charge that deals a lot of damage to enemies and certain barricades. This is one of the most satisfying abilities to use when encountering large groups of enemies. It will also break all enemy shields. This ability will drain Graphorn’s stamina meter, so keep an eye on it while charging.
Hopefully, this guide will help you unlock Flying and Ground mounts. Thank you for reading and see you soon with more guides for Hogwarts Legacy.
