Hufflepuff Celebration Adventure Part 3

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Hufflepuff Celebration Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In our previous part, you sought Hagrid’s help to uncover what might be wrong with Professor Sprout’s plant. He advised you that, after confirming Gerald wasn’t sick or hungry, you should replace the soil with a new potting mix. However, despite the items you received from Professor Kettleburn and Chiara, you needed one more ingredient: magical dung from Mooncalves. Hagrid directed you to where you might find these creatures, and you set off immediately. Arriving at the Forest Lake at midnight, you witnessed the scene Hagrid had described: Mooncalves dancing in the moonlight. Just as you devised a plan to gather the magical dung, something unexpected occurred. 

A Welsh Green Dragon appeared, frightening the Mooncalves, and they scattered. Nevertheless, you devised a plan to distract the dragon, allowing your friends to safely collect what you needed. Fortunately, you escaped unscathed and gathered the magical dung required for Gerald. Then, you got the idea to seek help from the Hufflepuff ghost for more insights into Professor Sprout’s deep connection with Gerald, her plant. Upon meeting Gerald, he asked for your assistance in refining his welcoming Hufflepuff speech in exchange for the information you sought.

Although he couldn’t tell you why Gerald meant so much to your esteemed Herbology professor, he shared that Professor Sprout had had Gerald since her student days, indicating the plant’s age and the miracle of its continued existence. Deciding to replace Gerald’s soil, you headed to Hagrid’s, only for Tonks to accidentally drop the pot, shattering it into many pieces. Concerned about whether you’d repair it in time, you opted to visit Professor McGonagall for help in fixing the pot.

Proceed to the Transfiguration Classroom when you are ready to repair Gerald’s pot. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive there, you’ll express your distress and the urgent need for Professor McGonagall’s assistance. She’ll inquire about the issue and immediately recognize Gerald.

She’ll reply that, of course, she knows and that she’s been acquainted with that flower for many years. You’ll ask her if that means she knows why Gerald is so important to Professor Sprout.

She’ll notice that it’s not Gerald’s original pot, and you’ll explain to her that you unfortunately had an accident and accidentally broke his pot. She’ll say that Gerald means a lot to her and Professor Sprout, and she’ll suggest that you together assemble the pieces to successfully put it back to its original state.

To uncover Gerald’s origins, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Gerald, Penny, and Professor McGonagall. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

You’ll learn that Professor McGonagall gave Gerald to Professor Sprout when they were students. Additionally, when Professor Sprout first came to Hogwarts, she felt a bit lonely and very far from home, so Professor McGonagall, as an older student and friend, gave her Gerald to make her feel better.

You’ll thank Professor McGonagall for sharing such a wonderful story with you, and she’ll say she appreciates your consideration in coming to her to repair Gerald’s broken pot. However, she’ll encourage you to try to fix it yourself and advise you to believe in yourself.

Trace the wand movement to cast Reparo. 

Fortunately, the spell will work.

Following that, Professor McGonagall will say that she picked out that pot herself and that it carries within it the warm feelings she has for Pomona, her closest friend. This line will differ based on whether you belong to the Hufflepuff house.

You’ll ask the professor if she thinks her and Professor Sprout’s friendship is why Gerald has been able to live for so long, and she’ll say she’s not sure, but that magic and emotion often intertwine in mysterious ways. 

She’ll add that if Gerald really is a marker of their friendship with Pomona, then the situation may be dire because both of them are so busy that they hardly have a chance to socialize.

Shortly after, Professor McGonagall will leave, and you’ll be very happy to have finally learned the truth about Gerald. Penny will say that she can understand what Professor McGonagall said about wanting to spend more time with Professor Sprout, and she’ll ask if you think Professor Sprout feels the same way about her.  

There are two different options to choose from. Both of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

In any case, Penny will be determined to organize something to help your professors reaffirm their friendship. After some thought, you’ll come up with an idea.

You’ll explain that guests can bring their favorite plants, show them to their friends, and repot them in fresh, magical soil. Your plan is to invite your two professors so they can finally spend some time together.

Go to the Training Grounds to give Gerald back. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, Chiara will inform you that your plant repotting party is going well.

Chiara will say that Gerald isn’t the only magical plant at Hogwarts to benefit from your soil mix and that she brought her own plant as well. Then she’ll ask you if you know what type of magical plant that is. The correct answer is “Dittany”.

She’ll explain that dittany is a crucial plant for Healers because of its ability to heal wounds. She’ll add that she wants to become a Healer someday, so she decided to grow some of her own.

At that moment, Professor Sprout will approach and greet you.

You’ll welcome her back and ask how her time at the Herbology Conference was. She’ll respond that it was fascinating and that she enjoyed the magic of the botanical world.

You’ll inform her that you’ve taken very good care of him and that you’ve even refreshed his potting soil.

This line will differ based on whether you belong to the Hufflepuff house.

She’ll also praise your idea of sharing the rest of the bounty with other plant lovers at Hogwarts. You’ll tell her that you and your friends thought it would be a good opportunity for everyone to relax and socialize a bit.

To enjoy the party, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

When you finish, Professor Sprout will say she believes you’ve been enjoying the party, and you’ll tell her that you have and that you’ve also learned all sorts of things about the plants your friends keep. She’ll want to check if you’ve been paying attention and will ask you a question. The correct answer is “Merula”.

Professor Sprout will comment that there is much you can discover about your friends by studying their botanical companions. You’ll agree, saying it’s true and that you even learned something more about her while taking care of Gerald.

Luckily, Gerald is much better now and thankfully, he’s a lot more energetic.

Professor Sprout will say that she feels she owes Gerald’s miraculous recovery to you. This line will differ based on whether you belong to the Hufflepuff house.

Professor Sprout will thank you and add that, in recognition of your effort, you will be awarded a Hufflepuff Medal of Excellence. This line will differ based on whether you belong to the Hufflepuff house.

At that moment, your friends will invite you to join them for a little gathering.

Penny will say she can’t believe Gerald has returned to his original state and will ask if it might be because of the new potting soil. There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You’ll say that it seems that friendships, like plants, need time and care to flourish.

These lines will differ based on whether you belong to the Hufflepuff house.

This will mark the end of the Gryffindor Celebration Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 2 Gems, 2 Chocolate Frogs, and 500 Experience Points. You’ll earn the achievement for completing the adventure.

You’ll also get a bonus reward, which is the Hufflepuff Medal in your apartment.
