Hufflepuff Celebration Adventure Part 2
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for Hufflepuff Celebration Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part, we were given an important task: to look after Professor Sprout’s plant named Gerald while she’s at the Herbology conference in London. Although it seems like an easy task, it turned out to be a bit more challenging.
You noticed that Gerald didn’t look quite well, so you headed to the Hospital Wing to see if the plant might be suffering from some illness. There, you met Chiara, who helped you and examined the plant, but she didn’t find any disease. She advised you to find food for Gerald, suggesting that he might look weak because he’s hungry.
You decided to visit Professor Kettleburn to ask for advice. After a brief conversation with him, he asked you to look after Squawk while he went to search for food for Gerald. However, when you later attempted to feed the plant, it refused to eat, which worried you even more. So, you decided to pay a visit to Hagrid to see if he could help you with this seemingly ordinary but famous Hufflepuff plant.

Proceed to Hagrid’s Garden when you are ready to ask for advice. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive there, you’ll notice that Hagrid is busy in the garden, and Merula and Ismelda are helping him.

Following that, Hagrid will explain to you that Merula and Ismelda got into a bit of trouble in class, so Professor McGonagall told them to help him in the garden to learn their lesson.
He’ll add that the problem is they’re not the most reliable gardeners, which you’ll see as an opportunity to help him, and in return, he’ll give you gardening advice for Gerald. These lines will differ based on whether you belong to the Hufflepuff house.

Hagrid will also praise Hufflepuff.

However, Merula won’t share Hagrid’s opinion, and she’ll say that Hufflepuffs never do anything interesting and dangerous, claiming they’re the most boring house at Hogwarts. There are two options to choose from. If you like Hufflepuff, it is recommended to pick the second option.

In any case, Hagrid will say that you shouldn’t argue about silly things but rather get to work because you have a lot to do.

To help in the garden, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Gerald and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

This line will differ based on whether you belong to the Hufflepuff house.

Following that, Hagrid will say that he can now help you with your gardening questions, and you’ll ask him if he knows how you can help the old Fanged Geranium, adding that you’ve checked and it’s neither sick nor hungry.

Hagrid will explain to you that sometimes a plant gets all the nutrients it can from the dirt it’s potted into, and that refreshing the soil every few years is crucial.
He’ll say that he’s got a new potting soil mix he’s been working on, adding that Professor Sprout asked him about it just before she left, but he was too busy to give her the soil mix. He’ll say that he’s nearly done with it now and just needs a few more things.

He’ll say he has most things but needs something that can hold water but won’t break down too quickly. You’ll mention that Professor Kettleburn gave you some coir and natural fibers and ask if that might help, and he’ll respond that it’s perfect and will keep the soil nice and moist while avoiding rot. You’ll also mention that Chiara gave you some potion ingredients too.

Hagrid will comment that bone meal and powdered kelp are great fertilizers, and the Wiggentree bark will help with drainage.

Following that, Hagrid will say that he only needs one more ingredient to make the perfect potting soil for Gerald, and that’s Magical Dung. He’ll explain that some magical creatures leave dung behind that’ll do wonders for any plant.

He’ll inform you that there’s a herd of Mooncalves near the lake in the Forbidden Forest, and the only way to get Mooncalf dung is to gather it while they’re dancing under the full moon.

Go to the Forest Lake at the Forbidden Forest to acquire Mooncalf dung. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive there, you’ll see exactly the scene that Hagrid described to you: Mooncalves dancing in the moonlight. You will get additional lines of dialogue if you completed Over the Moon Adventure.

Tonks will say that the plan is that when the Mooncalves are through, you’ll swoop in and collect any dung they left behind. You’ll warn her that although watching them bounce around is adorable, you need to focus and collect the Mooncalf dung soon, before sunrise.

Of course, as soon as Tonks says that, your luck will be interrupted, and an angry, enraged dragon will swoop in and scare the Mooncalves.

The adorable little creatures will get very scared and start running back into the forest.

You’ll be very shocked by this turn of events.

Tonks will look on the bright side and tell you that it’s an opportunity to collect dragon dung and Mooncalf dung. She’ll say that you just need to nip down there and scoop some up before the dragon even notices, and then she’ll ask what you think about it.
There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You’ll warn your friends that the dragon will notice you if you stay there, and you’ll suggest making a distraction so your friends can pick up the magical dung.

To distract the dragon, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Tonks. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

Luckily, your friends will successfully pick up what you need and escape before the dragon notices them.

You’ll also run past the dragon, and fortunately, there won’t be an incident. You’ll approach your friends and warn them to be careful until the Welsh Green flies away. Afterward, Tonks will inform you that they gathered more than enough magical dung to finish Gerald’s potting soil. These lines will differ based on whether you belong to the Hufflepuff house.

Tonks will comment that you’ve done all of this just for the old Fanged Geranium, and you don’t even know why that plant means so much to Professor Sprout. At that moment, you’ll get the idea to talk to The Fat Friar – Hufflepuff’s ghost, because maybe he knows some more detailed information about Gerald.

Proceed to the Great Hall when you are ready to talk with the Fat Friar. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. This line will differ based on whether you belong to the Hufflepuff house.

You’ll say that once it’s ready, you’ll then repot Gerald with fresh soil, but until then, you’ll work on trying to find answers regarding Gerald’s origins.

Shortly after, you’ll approach the Fat Friar.

This line will differ based on whether you belong to the Hufflepuff house.

You will ask him how he is doing with his speech, and he’ll respond that he’s doing well, but there’s still something lacking in his speech. He’ll add that it’s easy to rattle off facts and trivia about House Hufflepuff, but that there’s so much more to it than that. He’ll say that he wants to convey the true essence of what it means to be a Hufflepuff.
The Hufflepuff ghost will ask if you’re willing to listen to his speech and help him, but you’ll say that you actually came to ask him about Gerald.

To critique the speech, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the Fat Friar and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

When you finish, the Fat Friar will begin his speech.

You’ll praise his speech, and then he’ll proceed to test your knowledge about Hufflepuff. He’ll add that Hufflepuff’s house colors are black and gold, and then he’ll ask you what the color black represents. The correct answer is “Soil”.

In any case, the Fat Friar will say that many Hufflepuff characteristics correspond to the element of earth and that perhaps that’s why they make fine Herbologists.

However, Tonks won’t be satisfied with the speech because, according to her, it’s longer than it should be.

The Hufflepuff ghost will say that it’s not that he disagrees with Tonks, but he admits that he doesn’t know how to convey such a concept in his welcome speech. However, you’ll have an idea and say that sometimes the best way to communicate is by telling a story. This line will differ based on whether you belong to the Hufflepuff house.

Tonks will understand what you’re talking about.

You’ll also say that you can’t find a better example of Hufflepuff loyalty than your adventure in the Forbidden Forest. The Fat Friar will thank you and comment that stories like that are exactly what his welcome speech needs to convey the true essence of Hufflepuff. Then he’ll ask you how he can help you now.

However, unfortunately, he won’t know why Gerald means so much to Professor Sprout, adding that Gerald has been Professor Sprout’s pride and joy since she was a student at Hogwarts. This will surprise you because you didn’t think Gerald was that old, and the Fat Friar will say that it’s quite impressive that Gerald is still with you.

Tonks will propose that the new soil is likely ready for Gerald, and she’ll suggest heading over there to replant him. However, as you both move to go, she’ll accidentally fumble and drop the pot containing Gerald, causing it to smash into many small pieces.

You’ll try to calm Tonks down and say that you need a Transfiguration expert to help repair the pot, and there’s no one better for that than Professor McGonagall.

This will mark the end of Part 2 of the Hufflepuff Celebration Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 2 Gems.
Tonks was a bit clumsy and dropped the pot with Gerald, luckily he wasn’t injured, you just need to repair the pot. Will Professor McGonagall be able to help you? Will you finally find out why Gerald means so much to Professor Sprout in your conversation with her? Will Gerald be okay? Stay with us to find out. Thank you for reading.
