Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of our Walkthrough for Love Story Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During this adventure, you will get an opportunity to go on a romantic date with a person dear to your heart.

Since the adventure is available for students of Year 5 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]

Once you start, Madam Rosmerta will ask you to meet her at the Three Broomsticks, so go there when you are ready. Once you get there, you will notice the speech bubbles above some characters. Tap on them if you are curious to see what they have to say.

You’ll approach Madam Rosmerta and ask why she wanted to see you. She’ll tell you she needs a small favor. She will ask what it would take for you to help her. There are three options to choose from. This choice won’t significantly impact the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Madam Rosmerta will then tell you more. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within one hour. Three stars are required to pass.

There is a bonus progress action tied to one of the patrons. Prioritize it to save a bit of energy.

You’ll learn that Madam Rosmerta wants you to deliver a gift to Professor McGonagall. Apparently, the package she is sending is fragile and rare, which is why she cannot send it via an owl. In return for your help, Madam Rosmerta will set up a romantic evening for you and your chosen date at the Three Broomsticks.

Needless to say, you will gladly accept her proposition. This line will differ, depending on your previous choice.

Shortly after leaving the Three Broomsticks, head to the Lakeshore when you’re ready to deliver the package. Professor McGonagall will express surprise when you approach her and inquire if everything is all right. You’ll inform her that you have a package from Madam Rosmerta.

Professor McGonagall will look surprised once she sees the package. She’ll thank you for bringing it to her. You will tell her Madam Rosmerta is going to arrange a special date for you and a person of your choosing.

Professor McGonagall will say she is glad to hear that. However, you will notice some sadness in her eyes. Concerned, you’ll inquire if everything is okay, and she’ll reply that some forms of happiness come with a touch of sadness mixed in. She’ll then decide to explain further. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.

There is a bonus progress action tied to Professor McGonagall. Focus on it if you want to save some energy.

After conversing with Professor McGonagall, you’ll discover that she had experienced the loss of her husband. She’ll mention that she typically doesn’t disclose her personal life to students but, caught in a candid moment, she chose to share the story of her late husband, Elphinstone. She’ll reveal that she accepted his marriage proposal on that very spot.

The fond memories of her husband keep her company while she walks the path the two of them once walked together. You will admit you had no idea the place had such a romantic history.

You’ll learn that Professor McGonagall and Elphinstone were together for three years before he tragically passed away after getting bitten by a Venomous Tentacula. Still, Professor McGonagall will admit that she enjoyed the time she got to spend with her late husband.

She will explain that it doesn’t matter how long the two people are together, but how they spend that time. She’ll ask how you feel after hearing her story. There are two options to reply with. While this choice won’t significantly impact the story, it is somewhat recommended to pick the first option.

Professor McGonagall will remind you that you have a date to plan. You’ll quickly decide to head to the Great Hall and start planning for your date. When you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of your friends and see what they have to say.

Tulip will approach you and say that she is terribly bored. She’ll ask if you are in the middle of an epic quest she can help with. You will tell her you recently delivered a gift to Professor McGonagall from Madam Rosmerta. You’ll also mention the special dinner you’ll get as a reward.

You’ll also tell her you learned a love story from Professor McGonagall. You will say that sharing stories with someone can teach you about that person. After hearing that, Tulip will say she knows how she can help you find the perfect date.

She will tell you to share McGonagall’s story with your friends in the Great Hall. That way, you will be able to learn some things about them. Tulip will then gather everyone and say that you have a love story about Professor McGonagall to share with them.

You’ll tell them you learned Professor McGonagall was married and lost her husband to a Venomous Tentacula bite. You will also mention that her husband proposed to her at the Lakeshore and that the memories of him keep her company when she walks where they once walked together.

You’ll then get to hear what everyone thinks of the story. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are bonus progress actions tied to Merula, Jae, and Chiara. Prioritize those actions to save energy.

You’ll discover that everyone has a unique perspective on Professor McGonagall’s love story. Merula desired more details, Andre found the idea of a perfect match appealing, Penny considered it wildly romantic, Talbott remained curious and silent, Barnaby was delighted but perplexed, Chiara was cryptic yet charmed, Badeea likened the story to a beautiful image, and Jae wished for a happier ending.

Tulip will commend you for paying close attention to what your friends are saying.

You’ll then get to choose a date. This is the MOST IMPORTANT choice in the entire adventure. The choices (from left to right) are Jae, Andre, Barnaby, Badeea, Chiara, Penny, Merula, and Talbott. Tap on the exclamation mark above the person you want to invite on a date.

Once you pick a date, Tulip will ask if you are certain about it. If you are absolutely sure about your choice, you should pick the first option. Otherwise, you can select the second option and pick another date.

Tulip will then tell you to hurry to the Clocktower Courtyard. Apparently, she is planning to send the person you selected to meet you there. Moments later, you will leave the Great Hall. Head to the courtyard when you are ready to continue. (The following task will differ, based on the person you chose. This section of the walkthrough will feature the gameplay where the protagonist picked Merula.)

Your date will approach you and ask if there is anything you would like to discuss. You’ll nod and mention your romantic meal at the Three Broomsticks.

You’ll then ask the person you selected to go on a date with you. These lines will differ, depending on whether or not you dated that person before.

Your date will accept the invitation. These lines will be different if the two of you are dating.

By the looks of it, the person you asked out knows how to make your date even more special. To learn about it, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.

Make sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available reward actions. There are bonus progress actions tied to your character. Prioritize them to save energy.

You will learn that the person you chose wants to gather love stories from other witches and wizards and share them on your date. Your date will want to know what you think is an essential part of any great love story. There are three options to choose from.

This choice will be referenced later on during the adventure, but it won’t significantly change the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Your date will say that you can meet up at the courtyard after gathering enough love stories and then head to the Three Broomsticks together. You’ll decide to find Diego and see if he has any interesting love stories to share with you.
