Proceed to the Hagrid’s Garden when you are ready. When you arrive at Hagrid, you’ll see that he’s covered in ink. You’ll ask him if everything is alright, and he’ll reassure you not to worry, promising to explain everything.

To learn the situation, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Hagrid and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You’ll find out that the Mackled Malaclaw is getting ready to moult. Hagrid will add that there comes a time in every Mackled Malaclaw’s life when it outgrows its shell.

Hagrid will agree with you and add that the creature is feeling very anxious. He’ll explain that he made a mistake by approaching it too quickly without realizing how Malaclaw was feeling, which led to the creature biting him. He’ll then add that a bite from a Mackled Malaclaw means a streak of bad luck that can last up to a whole week.

Following that, he will ask you what you think about him having a week of bad luck. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Hagrid will say that he is worried because the creature needs special care when it’s moulting. You will reassure him that you will take care of the Malaclaw and that he doesn’t need to worry. Hagrid will be very grateful and will advise you to research more about these creatures and their moulting habitats.

Go to the Library to study Malaclaw. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. You will enter the library with your Malaclaw hidden in a picnic basket to avoid Madam Pince noticing the creature.

Your friend Tonks will sneak up on you after spotting the Malaclaw peeking out of the basket. She’ll offer to help watch over it, giving you the chance to research everything about them in peace.

However, your discussion will be interrupted by Madam Pince, who will ask you what you have in your basket, suspecting that you have food. There are three different options to choose from. It’s recommended to tell the truth.

In any case, Tonks and you will leave the library. She will then ask if you’ve come up with something for your Malaclaw, and you will explain to her that the solution is a special diet.

Proceed to the Open Ocean when you are ready. When you arrive at the reserve, Tonks will inquire a bit about the moulting process, and you will add that moulting is a difficult and vulnerable time for any creature, mentioning that Hagrid wanted to help but had a week of bad luck when the Malaclaw bit him.

You will add that, based on your research, the Malaclaw requires a special diet when preparing to moult. Tonks will then mention that the creature doesn’t seem interested in food and has no appetite.

To coax the Malaclaw, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Luckily, the Malaclaw will start eating and will feel a little more relaxed.

However, when you try to hand-feed it a little more, it will react as if it wants to bite you.

Tonks will warn you and ask for your opinion on why the Malaclaw tried to bite you. There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Shortly after, you will decide to visit Hagrid to try to refresh his memory about what he wrote in his notes after feeding the Malaclaw, as this could help the creature.

Go to the Hagrid’s Garden to continue the story. When you arrive, you will see that Hagrid has a pumpkin problem. You will tell him that you came to update him on the progress with the Malaclaw, but before you talk, you need to remove the pumpkin from his head.

To help Hagrid escape, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the pumpkin and Hagrid. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You will decide to cast a levitation charm to free Hagrid’s head. So, trace the wand movement to cast Wingardium Leviosa.

Hagrid will fall, and the pumpkin will break.

You will ask him how he got his head stuck in the pumpkin, and he will say that it’s a very long story. Then, he will ask if you want the short version or the long one. There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You will then tell Hagrid that you fed the Malaclaw, but unfortunately, it still feels anxious. Hagrid will say that he understands and add that the next thing you should focus on is the creature’s mood. He will suggest that you need to do something to cheer it up.

This will mark the end of Part 1 of Me and My Malaclaw Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 200 Coins and 20 Food.
You began working on helping the Malaclaw through its moulting process. After discovering that a special diet is essential, you managed to get it to eat, though it remained anxious. With this new goal in mind, you’re ready to find a way to lift the Malaclaw’s spirits and ensure a smoother moulting process.
