Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of the Mother Hens Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!

In the last part, you’ve learned more about Professor McGonagall’s mother, and you’ve witnessed a unique parenting style of Narcissa Malfoy. This will be useful for your report for the assignment.

More importantly, with the help of Hagrid, you’ve realized that inside the egg is a Frost Salamander, and the frost on its egg is desirable for the unhatched creature. Now that you know which Magical Creature you care about, you’ll need to find out more about it to tend to its needs.

Before starting the next task, you’ll have a waiting time of six hours. After the waiting time is over, go to the Library. You’ll collect several books about Frost Salamanders to study.

Suddenly, you will hear somebody offering you help. Comically, you would think the egg is talking to you. But no, it’s Lenny, behind the pile of books, as usual. The dialogue may differ based on whether you’ve met him before or not. His egg wasn’t a big puzzle, so he wants some more challenge by helping you. You’ll accept his help.

To research Frost Salamanders, you’ll need to earn all five stars within eight hours. Start this task when your energy bar is full.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Lenny and your character. Prioritize actions tied to them to save some energy. You can swipe the screen left and right to check all available options.

You’ll learn that the Frost Salamander eggs hatch best in quiet environments while being encased in ice.

Lenny will like how your egg was like a challenging puzzle compared to his egg, and he will ask you whether you like being challenged. Pick the option that suits your character.

You’ve learned that you need to find someplace quiet and spacious enough for you to cast a spell to encase your egg and nest in ice. Go to the Duelling Room next.

In the Duelling Room, you’ll find Nymphadora Tonks and her mother, Andromeda, arguing. You would like to give them some privacy and not interrupt them, but Andromeda will insist you stay, and she will ask you about your egg. You’ll explain how you discovered that you have a Frost Salamander and that you came to the Duelling Room to encase the egg in ice. Andromeda and Nymphadora will decide to stop arguing and help you. You will all try to freeze the egg using the Clacius spell. This dialogue has different variations based on whether you’ve met Andromeda for the first time and whether you already know Glacius spell.

To freeze the egg, you’ll need to earn all five stars within three hours. Start this task when your energy bar is full.

Bonus progress actions will be tied to the egg, Nymphadora, and Andromeda.

You will manage to encase the Frost Salamander egg in ice safely. Andromeda and Nymphadora will continue arguing over whether parents should always help their child whenever they can. Andromeda will think so, while Nymphadora will argue that parents should let their kids make mistakes and learn from them.

They will ask about your opinion. Feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Shortly after, Molly Weasley will arrive, and she will ask you to come with her to see one of the most loving mothers who has ever lived. You will accept it, and you can now focus more on preparing your report about parenting, now that your egg is finally safe and ready to hatch.

Go to Godric’s Hollow Square to continue. Molly will bring you to the Potters’ memorial to learn more about Lily Potter’s love and sacrifice. She will explain that the Potters gave their lives defending their son, Harry Potter, from You-Know-Who. The story about the bravest mother there ever was will be crucial for your report on parenting.

To complete the next task, you’ll need to earn all five stars within eight hours. Start this task when your energy bar is full.

There will be only one bonus progress action, and it will be tied to Molly Weasley. Prioritize actions tied to her to save some energy.

You will realize that Lily Potter was an extraordinary witch and a loving mother.

Molly will ask you what motherly qualities you plan to highlight in your report to Professor McGonagall. This will influence what you say during your report. The first option is inspired by Narcissa Malfoy, the second option by Nymphadora Tonks, and the third one by Lily Potter.

Suddenly, your Forst Salamander will start making more chirping sounds. You’ll realize that it’s about to hatch. Go to the Transfiguration Classroom to arrive at the hatching ceremony. As Professor McGonagall mentioned before, each egg will hatch at approximately the same time, so all students need to be in the Transfiguration Classroom with their eggs.

When the class starts, Professor McGonagall will explain that the eggs are scheduled to hatch soon, and she will make her way to each student individually to receive their verbal report on parenting. She will approach you first. You will give a long report on what you have learnt, and some parts can vary depending on your choices during the adventure.

You’ll explain that you’ve learned that caring for children takes time and effort, and can be an adventure filled with mysteries. You will continue, saying how parenting can be tough, but despite that, it can also be very rewarding. You’ll recollect that parents you’ve met love, adore, and are proud of their kids.

You’ll explain that the most important part of parenting is learning and adapting to your children’s needs. Every child is different, and it’s the parents’ job to find out exactly what their children need from them. After this, the rest of your report will differ based on your choices earlier in the adventure. After the report, Professor McGonagall will reward you with +20 points for your House. Shortly after, the hatching ceremony will begin.

To finish the next task, you’ll need to earn all five stars within eight hours. It is recommended to start this task when your energy bar is full.

This task will have three stages, in each stage you’ll be in a different part of the classroom. There will be only one bonus progress action tied to Tonks, in the first stage.

After you complete the task, your Frost Salamander will hatch, and Professor McGonagall will congratulate all the students on completing the assignment. Hagrid will take care of the newly hatched Magical Creatures.

You will have the opportunity to choose the name for your Frost Salamander. Pick the “Or perhaps…” option to see more names.

This will mark the end of Part 4 of the Mother Hens Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 4 Gems, 3 Chocolate Frogs, 1000 Experience Points, and the Frost Salamander tappie.
