Mother Hens Part 3
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of the Mother Hens Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!
In the previous part, you’ve cast Flame-Freezing Charm on the coal from the fireplace in the Great Hall and placed the coal next to your egg in the nest, to keep it additionally warm. You attended Molly Weasley’s lecture on parenting, and afterwards, together with Molly, reassured Merula and motivated her to continue with her assignment.
You discovered that your egg was frozen, despite being inside the warm nest, next to the coal. You decided to meet with Professor Flitwick to determine the next steps.

Walkthrough
Before your next task, you’ll have a waiting time of one hour. After the waiting time is over, go to the Charms Classroom.

Once in the classroom, you will update Professor Flitwick on what happened to your egg. Flitwick will propose that you and he use the Hot Air Charm to melt the ice quickly, but not so intensely that you boil the egg. The dialogue may differ based on whether you already know the Hot Air Charm or not.

To melt the ice from the egg, with Professor Flitwick’s help, you’ll need to earn all five stars within three hours. Start this task once your energy bar is full.

There will be only one bonus progress action, and it’s tied to Professor Flitwick. Prioritize actions tied to him to save some energy.

You will notice that the ice is starting to melt. You and Professor Flitwick will start casting the charm one more time, aiming at the egg, but suddenly, the egg will willingly roll out of the nest to avoid your charm. Professor Flitwick will have two possible theories on why this happened. One reason could be that the Magical Creature has a misguided survival instinct and it avoided the spells of its own volition. The other possible reason might be that Professor McGonagall added the extra challenge to the assignment.

Tell the professor your opinion on what is more likely. This will only influence some parts of dialoge later.
Shortly after, Professor Flitwick will suggest that you speak with Professor McGonagall to clarify the situation. Go to the Transfiguration Classroom to continue the story.
You will update Professor McGonagall on what has happened so far and all your problems with your egg. Depending on your last answer to Professor Flitwick, you will mention that you think this is either the egg’s misguided survival instinct or a challenge from her. McGonagall will explain that she understands your worry, but she can’t solve the assignment in your name, reminding you that the assignment is not only about raising the egg, but also to learn about the tribulations of parenting.
You will realize that the egg’s mysterious behaviour is also a part of the assignment. Professor McGonagall will remind you that you focused a lot more on the egg and less on parenting, and that speaking with other parents and preparing yourself for the assignment’s report is more related to saving your egg than you realize. You will ask the professor if she has some parenting advice for you. Although she was never a mother herself, she can tell you a lot about her mother.

To complete the next task, earn all five stars within three hours. Start this task when your energy bar is full.

Two bonus progress actions will be tied to Professor McGonagall. Prioritize actions tied to her to save some energy.
You’ll learn that McGonagall and her brother were quite different from each other, but despite that, Minerva’s mom sought out each of their unique needs and did her best to address them. You should follow this line of reasoning for your assignment and figure out your egg’s unique traits and needs. You will decide to spend some one-on-one time with it.
You’ll ask Professor McGonagall for advice on how to stay sane during this assignment. She will answer that a support network is the simplest solution.

She will then ask you who is in your personal support network. Feel free to choose the option you like. Afterwards, you will thank her for her help and leave the classroom.
Go to the Clocktower Courtyard to spend some time alone with your egg.

You will talk with your egg, sharing your thoughts, more like a monologue. You won’t really expected for egg to react. Suddenly, the egg will make a noise a few times. Puzzled, you will continue to talk to the egg. Suddenly, you will be interrupted by Draco Malfoy, who overheard you. The first part of the interaction can be different based on whether you met Draco before or not.

Draco will try to mock you. You can respond to that in two possible ways.
Draco Malfoy’s mother, Narcissa, will appear. The scene might look different based on whether you’ve met her before or not. She will notice fatigue and stress on your face. While you are explaining your assignment troubles, Draco will want more attention from Narcisa and will start yelling.

Observe how Narcissa is dealing with Draco’s problematic behaviour. To observe, you’ll need to earn all five stars within eight hours. Start this task when your energy bar is full.

Bonus progress actions will be tied to Draco and your character. Prioritize actions tied to them to save some energy.
You’ll notice that Narcissa leaned into Draco’s attention-seeking, and now he’s behaving wonderfully. You doubt that this technique can work well in the long term, but it’s very effective in the short term. Narcissa will apologize if Draco caused any trouble and then leave with him.
Inspired by this event, you’ll think to stop undoing what you thought was a problem, but to address it directly. Perhaps the ice that’s formed on your egg isn’t a problem at all, but the evidence that your egg needs something different. You’ll decide to visit Hagrid and discuss this new way of thinking with him.
Go to Hagrid’s Garden to continue the story. You will update Hagrid on everything that happened so far, and you will propose your new idea: that the ice is not the threat to the egg, but it is the egg’s need. You’ll also mention that the egg started making noises, which it will do again in front of Hagrid. Hagrid will try to help you if you recall all egg’s begaviour in the past.

To complete the next task, you’ll need to earn all five stars within three hours. Start this task when your energy bar is full.

Bonus progress actions will be tied to Hagrid and your character. Prioritize actions tied to them to save some energy.

The creature prefers ice, it makes chirping sounds, and is hatching from the egg. Based on these details, Hagrid will ask you what you think is the most likely. The correct answer is “A Frost Salamander”.
The frost on the egg is a good development, but Hagrid won’t help you further since it is your assignment. You’ll decide to go to the Library to continue your research on this Magical Creature.
This will mark the end of Part 3 of the Mother Hens Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems.
You now know which Magical Creature you care about, which can make things much easier. You’ll need to hurry because the hatching will be soon, as well as the verbal report on parenting.
Thank you for reading.
