Rowan’s Family Tree Part 1

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 1 of the Rowan’s Family Tree Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!

In this adventure, you will visit the Khanna Farm, meet Rowan’s cousin Hazel, and find more about the Khanna family traditions. But some strange incidents will happen, and you will realize that the farm is in great trouble.

Walkthrough

At the beginning of the adventure, go to the Clocktower Courtyard to speak with Rowan. He will excitedly share with you the news that he received a letter from cousin Hazel, who is managing Khanna Farm. Rowan will explain that Khanna Farm produces wood for wandmakers and broom crafters throughout the magical world.

Rowan got permission from Dubledore to visit the farm for the weekend, and he will ask you if you want to come with him. Feel free to choose the option you like.

Rowan will want to explain several reasons why he wants you to come with him to the farm. To hear his reasons, you’ll need to earn three stars within three hours.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Rowan and the statues. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You will realize that you’ll get to explore the Khanna Farm, help Rowan with an important decision, and uncover one mystery.

Rowan will ask you which one of the three activities sounds the most exciting to you. Pick the option you are the most interested in. Rowan will inform you that his cousin Hazel is on her way to meet you at the Hogsmeade Station. He will be mysterious about his decision, and he promised he will tell you more once you arrive at the Khanna Farm.

Go to the Hogsmeade Station to continue the adventure. Once you are there, Rowan will admit that he is nervous to meet Hazel. He thinks that Hazel has traits that he lacks, such as confidence and charisma, and she started running the family business just after getting out of school.

Rowan will suddenly feel overwhelmed and will doubt himself. Reassure your friend by picking one of the three options. Rowan will like the first option the most, but you’ll need to have Friendship level 4 with him.

Soon after, the train will arrive, and you will meet Hazel. She will be very happy to meet you because Rowan told her many wonderful things about you. This dialogue may vary depending on whether you have already met Hazel before or not.

For the next task, you’ll need to earn three stars within three hours.

There will be only one bonus progress action, and it’s tied to the woman sitting on the bench. Swipe the screen left and right to find all available actions.

Hazel will apologize for not coming via magical means. She took the train because she had business in London. Soon, Hazel and Rowan will express their differing opinions about the Khanna Farm’s future. Hazel is in favor of modernizing the farm, while Rowan wants to preserve the old traditions.

Hazel will ask your opinion on the topic. Pick any option you like. After the discussion, Hazel will mention that there is a more important topic: what will Rowan add to the Khanna Family Tree?

Rowan will not know how to explain the unique family tradition, so Hazel will propose to see the Khanna Family Tree yourself. Soon after, you, Rowan, and Hazel will apparate to the Khanna Farm.

Once in Khanna Farm, enter the Family Tree subarea to continue the adventure.

You, Hazel, and Rowan will sit near the tree, chatting over the tea, while Fuzzclaw will resist the urge to push some teacups off the table.

Rowan will ask you what you think of Khanna Farm. Feel free to choose an option you like the most. Shortly after, you will ask Rowan about his decision and what’s special about the Khanna Family Tree. He will point out that you are sitting underneath the tree.

It is a hybrid of many different trees, such as oak, beech, pear, and many others. It represents the history of the Khanna family. Hazel and Rowan will explain more after the next task.

To complete the next task, earn three stars within three hours.

You will learn that every Khanna chooses a branch that represents their essence and then adds it to the tree. Some Khannas choose pears, cherries, roses, or something more experimental, like Uncle Vickram, who chose a branch that grows Knuts, bronze coins of the Wizarding World. Rowan will still be unsure which branch would represent who he is.

To help Rowan, Hazel will ask you what the first word that comes to your mind when you look at Rowan. Feel free to choose the option you think is the most accurate description of him.

Suddenly, the teapot will explode, seemingly on its own. Hazel will act strangely, as if it is not the first time something like this happened, and she will insist you not to worry about this. You will offer your help, but she will propose to help her by checking on the Bowtruckles, which is one of the important jobs in the Khanna Farm. Hazel will need to go because of the broomstick shipment, and she will offer you a Floo powder if you need to return to Hogwarts.

Before you go to check on the Bowtruckles, Rowan will want to show you his very special place in the Khanna Farm first. What is that place, and what are the strange occurrences on the farm?
