Rowan’s Family Tree Part 2

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of the Rowan’s Family Tree Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!

In the previous part, you met Rowan’s cousin, Hazel. You went to the Khanna Farm, saw the Khanna Family Tree, and learned about the tradition of the Khanna Family, where each member will attach one branch that represents them as a personality to the tree. Rowan needs to realize who he is and which branch will represent him.

After a strange incident with the teapot, Hazel gave you and Rowan a job to check on the Bowtruckles, but first, Rowan wants to show you his special place on the farm.

Before the next task, you’ll need to wait one hour. After the waiting time is over, go to the Reading Roost in the Khanna Farm to continue the adventure.

Rowan will tell you that this is his secret spot, and he used to come here when he was younger to read and avoid the farmwork. He will start explaining to you why he feels unsettled lately.

To complete the next task, collect three stars within three hours.

Bonus progress actions are tied to both Rowan and your character, but prioritize actions tied to your character because the bonus action will occur much more frequently.

Rowan will confess that he feels like the black sheep of the Khanna family. In his opinion, he is not like them, because he would rather spend time reading a book than harvesting tree limbs or tending to the Bowtruckles.

Your friend will ask you if you ever felt out of place in your family. This choice won’t have any major influence on the story.

Rowan will tell you that he wants to help the Khanna Farm, but he thinks his skills are not useful. You will reassure your friend, and you will remind him that everybody brings something to the table.

The dialogue option you pick earlier will influence the part of the dialogue.

Both of you will remember the strange incident with the teapot, and you will suspect that Hazel is hiding something. Lastly, you and Rowan will decide to do something to help the farm. You will go to check on the Bowtruckles as Hazel requested.

Go to the Tree Rows location in the Khanna Farm to resume the adventure. Once there, you will be amazed at how many different trees there are on the farm. Rowan will tell you some of the trees they have, and he will mention that Khanna Farm supplies wand woods, broomsticks, cauldron handles, and all sorts of magical goods. Then, he will explain how Bowtruckles are protecting the trees while the Khanna family makes sure they are safe, well-fed, and comfortable. Remember the fact that Bowtruckles like to eat fairy eggs because there will be a question about it later in the adventure.

Rowan will be excited to show you one of the Bowtruckle houses his family made. Pick any option you like. Rowan will like the third option the most.

To check on the bowtruckles, you’ll need to earn three stars within eight hours. Start this task when the energy bar is full.

Luckily, there will be plenty of bonus progress actions. They are tied to the Bowtruckles, Rowan, and your character.

Rowan will notice that the Bowtruckles are physically healthy, but they are agitated for some reason. You will notice that their houses, the Rowan wanted to show you, have gone missing. You’ll decide to ask Hazel what happened when she returns, but until then, you will try to build a new house for Bowtruckles and surprise her. Rowan will get the idea to ask Hagrid for help around the house.

Go to Hagrid’s Garden to continue the story. You will be greeted warmly by Hagrid, and you will update him on what has happened so far. Hagrid will accept to help you, and you will be surprised to see the Needlefingers, the Bowtruckle you’ve met in the “Needlefingers and Company” side quest.

You will build a Bowtruckle house, and the Needlefingers can test it.

To build a house, you’ll need to earn three stars within three hours.

Bonus progress actions will be tied to Rowan and the Needlefingers. Prioritize actions tied to them to save some energy.

Eventually, you will finish the Bowtruckle house, and the Needlefingers will approve it. Hagrid will be sure that the Bowtruckles in the Khanna Farm will love it, and he will also prepare some food for them.

He will test your knowledge on what Bowtruckles like to eat. This is what Rowan mentioned to you earlier. The correct answer is the “Fairy eggs”. Soon after, you and Rowan will use the Floo powder to return to the Khanna Farm.

Go to the Khanna Farm and then enter the Work Area to continue the story.

Once there, Rowan will wonder what Hazel’s reaction will be once she sees the house. Feel free to choose the option that suits your character.

Suddenly, Hazel will appear, warning you about the fire in the work area of the farm. You will all go to the Work Area, where you will see the flame. You will decide to use the Aguamenti spell, and Hazel will decide to use the Deflammo spell.

To put out the fire, you’ll need to earn three stars within three hours.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Hazel and your character. Prioritize actions tied to them to save some energy.

After several actions, you’ll need to cast Aguamenti and Glacius.

You will manage to extinguish the fire, but Hazel will be very sad that the broomstick stock got burned to ash. She will decide to tell you all the problems she is facing now. You can find out what is happening in the Khanna Farm and why Hazel is so stressed in the next part of the adventure.
