Search for the Mirror of Erised Part 4
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of our Walkthrough for Search for the Mirror of Erised Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery.
During the previous part, you went to meet with Merula, Barnaby, and Ismelda in the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom. You tried convincing Merula not to look in the mirror, but sadly, she didn’t listen to you.
Three of them gazed into the mirror, and shortly after, they all left the classroom. Both you and Penny were worried about them, so you went to see if they are all right.
After having a conversation with each of them, you couldn’t figure out how to help them sort their feelings, so you decided to ask Hagrid for advice. After telling him the whole story, he advised you to talk to Professor Dumbledore.

You’ll ask Professor Dumbledore for a moment of his time. He will say that he was expecting you.
The choice that you made during the previous task will affect the following lines of dialogue.
You will tell him that your friends and you found the Mirror of Erised. You’ll also mention that some of them already looked into it, which is why you need his help.
Professor Dumbledore will appreciate you informing him. He will point out once again that compassion in a student is right and rare. He will ask you to tell him exactly what happened.
Getting Dumbledore’s advice requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.
Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are bonus progress actions tied to Professor Dumbledore and your character. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.
After hearing you out, Professor Dumbledore will say that what you’ve described isn’t unusual. He’ll tell you how dangerous the power of the mirror can be.
You will wonder if there is any way for you to help your friends.
Professor Dumbledore will share some of his wisdom with you and say that people often focus too much on the future and ignore the present. Furthermore, the moment people live in is where they should always aim to focus their minds and hearts.
He’ll advise you to take heed of his lesson since you are often focused on curse-breaking adventures and mysteries.
The Headmaster will ask if you can see why focusing on the present could benefit you. There are three options to reply with. While this choice won’t significantly impact the story, it is recommended to pick the first or the third option.
You’ll find Professor Dumbledore’s advice quite helpful. He will be glad to hear that. He’ll say there is something else you should know about the Mirror of Erised.
He will tell you that the vision seen in the mirror is not set in stone. It can change if the person’s desire changes as well. You’ll thank him for telling you that.
He will give you one more chance to return the mirror before he decides to intervene.
You’ll tell him that you are going to do all in your power to return the Mirror of Erised as soon as possible.
Proceed to the Owlery when you are ready to meet with your friends.
Ismelda will wonder if you gathered everyone to talk about returning the Mirror of Erised. You’ll calmly say that you want to talk to them about it.
You will then tell everyone about your conversation with Professor Dumbledore. Ismelda won’t be too happy to hear that.
Talbott will quickly come to your defense.
Ismelda will want to know why you told the Headmaster about the mirror. There are three options to reply with. While this choice won’t significantly impact the story, it is somewhat recommended to go with the third option.
Barnaby won’t be mad at you for talking to Professor Dumbledore. He’ll understand that you only wanted to help them.
He’ll wonder if he should take one last look in the mirror before it gets returned to where it belongs.
Talbott will also find it hard to part with the artifact since it was his only chance to see his family whole again. As for Tulip, she wouldn’t mind returning the mirror.
After hearing them out, you’ll ask your friends to listen to what you have to say.
You’ll say that you can prove to them that they don’t need the Mirror of Erised to know their heart’s desire.
Convincing your friends requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
Make sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There is a bonus progress action linked to your character. Prioritize it whenever it is available to save energy.
Talbott will admit that you did make many good points. You’ll explain that everything they saw in the mirror was already inside them.
Barnaby will agree with you and say that by studying more, he can make the vision he saw in the mirror come true one day.
Tulip will be glad to know that the reflection in the mirror isn’t set in stone. As for Talbott, he’ll realize that he doesn’t need the mirror to cherish the memories of his family. They will always be in his heart.
You’ll recall Professor Dumbledore’s words and say how important it is to focus on the present. You will also mention that their desires can stay the same or they can change, but that’s what makes life worth living.
Ismelda will say that she won’t be hesitating to tell everyone how she feels. Merula will calmly say that she didn’t need convincing to give the mirror back to the Headmaster.
Now that you’ve managed to convince your friends, you can finally return the Mirror of Erised back to where it belongs.
Proceed to the Headmaster’s office when you are ready to continue. Professor Dumbledore will be glad to see the mirror back in his possession.
You’ll wonder what he is planning to do with it. As it seems, he’ll be returning it to a special place hidden within the castle.
You’ll reassure him that your friends won’t go looking for the mirror again. Professor Dumbledore will thank you for everything you’ve done to help.
He’ll admit he is curious about the reflections your friends saw in the mirror and he’ll wonder what they’ve learned from this experience. He will ask you to tell him how you helped your friends.
You’ll be happy to tell him all about it.
Talking to Dumbledore requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why it’s not recommended to start this task if you are out of energy.
Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There is an action with bonus progress tied to your character. Prioritize it if you want to save a bit of energy.
Professor Dumbledore will be fascinated by your story. As it seems, he didn’t expect that your friends will learn so much from their time with the Mirror of Erised. He’ll be glad that you helped your friends.
You will thank him for his kind words.
The Headmaster will be slightly surprised that you never looked in the mirror yourself. You’ll explain that you were too busy trying to return the mirror and helping your friends.
He’ll appreciate that you respected his wishes. Before putting the mirror away, Professor Dumbledore will present you with a choice.
He’ll ask if you’d like to take a look into the Mirror of Erised. There are two options to reply with. This is the most important choice in the whole adventure. If you would like to gaze into the mirror, it is recommended to pick the first option. However, if you don’t feel the need to do that, you can go with the second one.
If you pick the first option, you will excitedly tell Professor Dumbledore that you’d like to look in the mirror.
You’ll approach the mirror and look into it. You will see yourself with Jacob and Rowan. For a few moments, you will feel immense happiness.
You’ll tell Professor Dumbledore that a vision you saw in the mirror felt very real.
He’ll say that spending time with those one cares about often represents their deepest heart’s desire. The following few lines will differ, depending on your current progress of the main story.
If you decide not to look into the mirror, Professor Dumbledore will say that it is very admirable. Either way, he will appreciate your choice and your honesty.
He’ll also say that he has something special for you as a reward for returning the mirror.
He will give you the smaller version of the Mirror of Erised.
While this smaller mirror doesn’t have the power to show your heart’s desire, it will always remind you of your time with the Mirror of Erised and the lessons you’ve learned.
You will wholeheartedly thank Professor Dumbledore for this thoughtful gift.
This will mark the end of Part 4 of Search for the Mirror of Erised adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 4 Gems, 1000 Experience Points, 3 Chocolate Frogs, and an Enchanted Mini Mirror that will appear in your Dormitory.
You will earn the achievement for completing the adventure.
You’ll also be able to place the gift you received from Professor Dumbledore on a shelf inside your dorm. Occasionally, you will be able to tap on it and receive energy.
That was quite the adventure. You helped the Headmaster by returning the Mirror of Erised to him. More importantly, you helped your friends realize they don’t need any magical artifact to see their heart’s desire. And you also had the chance to gaze into the mirror yourself.
Thank you for reading and see you soon in the Wizarding World.
