Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of our Walkthrough for Shadow of the Dark Lord Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, you and your friends discovered the truth behind the rumors. Boggart is on the loose, and he takes various shapes to scare its victims.

Barnaby chased this non-being into Hogsmeade, but that made even more problems. It will wreak havoc on the population of the village. You and your friends prepared by practicing defensive spells and Riddikulus to face the Boggart in combat.

[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Hogwarts graduate. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 3 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]

Go to Hogsmeade when you are ready to continue the story. Once you are there, you can check what villagers have to say by tapping on the speech bubbles above their heads. Slide the screen left and right to check all available options.

You and your friends will arrive at Hogsmeade but you won’t see any signs of a Boggart. You’ll need to ask around to gather more information.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the woman left of you and to your character. Prioritize these actions to save a bit of energy. Don’t forget to slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

You will explain to your friends that you didn’t see any Boggart, but you got two leads from the villagers.

You and your friends need to search both locations immediately, so you’ll split into two groups. You will go with Barnaby, while Penny and Tulip will go to another location. That way, each group will have a person who reviewed defensive spells and one person who reviewed Riddikulus.

Penny will ask you to decide where you want to go with Barnaby. This choice will impact the next task, but it won’t affect the ending of the story.

Depending on what you chose, Penny and Tulip will go to another location. This walkthrough will cover the version of the story where you chose to go to Zonko’s. If you are interested to speak with Lucius Malfoy about the Boggart, choose the first option instead.

Go to Zonko’s Joke Shop when you are ready to continue. Once you are the, you can tap on the speech bubbles if you are curious about what customers of the shop have to say.

You will not see anything suspicious in the shop, although you will see a young witch where Bilton Bilmes should be. If you haven’t met Bilton yet, these lines of dialogue may differ.

You will approach her and try to question her. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.

In this task bonus progress actions will be tied to the young witch and your character. Prioritize these actions to save a bit of energy. If you choose the Three Broomsticks option instead of Zonko’s, the bonus energy will be linked to Barnaby and your character.

You’ve asked her a lot of questions, but she won’t have much time because the shop’s filled up completely. Some dialogue may differ depending on if you met Bilton before.

Since she won’t have much time, you can ask her only one question before she gets back to her shop duties. This choice won’t have an impact on the story, so feel free to choose the option you like.

Whatever you ask her, you will find out that Bilton is at the Hogsmeade Carnival and that someone said he saw a Dementor at the festival grounds. You will immediately figure out that the Dementor is just another shape of the Boggart you seek.

This is a huge problem because if a Boggart is at the Hogsmeade Carnival, it won’t be long before everyone there is terrified. There is no time to track down Tulip and Penny, so you’ll decide to go immediately to the festival grounds.

Go to the Festival Grounds to continue the story. Once you are there, tap the speech bubbles if you are curious about what other characters have to say. Shortly after, you will see that Boggart is paralyzing Bilton with fear.

You will tell Barnaby that you’ll get Boggart’s attention, so it will change its shape to your fear, while he should get Bilton to safety. Afterward, you would cast Riddikulus. You will try to provoke Boggart to attack you, and you’ll succeed. Unfortunately, it seems that this non-being is very fast and it will transform into Voldemort to attack you very fast.

You’ll need to dodge his very fast attacks until you can get your footing and cast Riddikulus. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. It is not recommended to start this task if your energy bar is not full.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Boggart, Bilton, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

It will be tough, but you’ll finally get your footing. The time to cast Riddikulus will come.

You will turn Boggart into a clown and soon he will flee.

Bilton will thank you. If you are meeting him now for the first time, he will ask you for your name. He will say that you have saved him and the Hogsmeade Carnival all on your own. You can take all the credit or give some credit to Barnaby. If you like Barnaby, it is recommended to choose the second option.

You’ll decide to go to Hogwarts to inform the others what happened and that Voldemort was actually a Boggart. Go to Dumbledore’s Office to continue the story.

You and your friends will gather at the office to meet Professor Dumbledore. Ben will be there as well, fully recovered.

The Headmaster will inform you that he knows what you were doing.

He will ask you to tell him your side of the story. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. It is recommended to have a full energy bar before starting this task.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Tulip and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

Your explanation will match the reports Professor Dumbledore heard. The problem is that you have ignored explicit warnings from faculty, broken school rules, and endangered your friends. This choice won’t influence the overall story so feel free to choose the option you like.

Professor Dumbledore will not punish you, but instead, he will give you 25 House Points.

The Headmaster will explain that you reminded everyone that we must stay aware of the dangers in the world but we cannot live lives delineated by fear. Ben’s response will depend based on your progress in the main story.

Your Gryffindor friend will be glad that he saw a Boggart and not You-Know-Who. The following dialogue line will differ based on whether you believed his story earlier or not.

Professor Dumbledore will explain that we need good friends in dark times. They remind us not to lose hope.

Because of your bravery, the Headmaster will gift you a special candle with a wick that will never run out.

This will conclude Part 4 of Shadows of the Dark Lord adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 4 Gems, 1000 Experience Points, and 3 Chocolate Frogs.

You will earn the achievement for completing the adventure in the Hogwarts section.

On top of that, the special candle will be added to your dormitory or a secret clubhouse. If you graduated, you can place it in your flat. Occasionally, you can tap on it to receive energy.

You showed bravery when facing your greatest fears. Luckily, it wasn’t You-Know-Who after all. I knew he won’t return, that’s impossible! Right? I hope so.
