Something strange is happening in the magical lake—Shrakes, known for their dangerously sharp spines, are suddenly losing their edge. Concerned for the creatures’ health, Hagrid turns to you for help. Investigate the illness, heal the shoal, and ensure your own Shrake stays safe.

Proceed to the Open Ocean when you are ready. Hagrid will greet you warmly and say you’ve arrived just in time—he wants to introduce you to a friend he hasn’t seen in a while. In the distance, you’ll notice the outline of a boat approaching. After a few moments, it docks by the shore and the mysterious visitor steps out. Once he greets Hagrid, Hagrid will introduce him to you.


You’ll ask what brings him to your Creature Reserve, and he’ll explain that, unfortunately, this isn’t a social call. He’s dealing with a serious problem involving his local shoal of Shrakes and needs the help of an expert. He’ll then begin to explain the issue in more detail.
To learn about Sal’s problem, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

You’ll learn that his local shoal of Shrakes has come down with a mysterious illness, and he needs your help to figure out what’s causing it and how to cure them as quickly as possible.
Hagrid will also observe that their spines seem less sharp and they wouldn’t be able to shred a Muggle net, even if it were weakened. Sal adds that the illness appears to be spreading, expressing concern about what might happen if it reaches other shoals or individual Shrakes.
There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Sal will be very grateful for your help and will ask you what the main reason is for offering your assistance. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Following that, you’ll decide to head to the library to find more information about Shrakes.

Go to the Library to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.
There, you’ll run into Liz. (If you haven’t met her before, you’ll receive a few extra lines of dialogue to introduce yourselves. In any case, Liz will be more than willing to help you find the information you need, as she herself is an expert on magical creatures.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within one hour. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the books, Madam Pince, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You will realize that these are symptoms of Spike Rot, a rare condition that causes Shrakes’ spines to become blunt and brittle. Liz will become very upset and say how sorry she feels for the creatures affected by this illness. Following that, she will ask you how you feel about the ordeal the Shrakes are going through.
There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You will realize that you need a potion to heal the creatures, but before that, you must thoroughly examine the Shrakes to confirm the diagnosis. So, don’t wait—head back to the Open Ocean Reserve right away.
When you arrive, you will see how the creatures are doing; however, Sal and Hagrid will tell you that the Shrakes are very agitated. Sal will then ask you, Wouldn’t you be annoyed if someone just picked you up and moved you around?
There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Sal will say that the Shrakes are probably feeling confused, homesick, and ill. You will agree and add that you might have found what illness is affecting the shoal, but you’ll need to examine them closely to confirm your theory. Sal will reply that you can’t examine them in this state and that you first need to calm them down a bit.
To soothe the shrakes, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Ben, Professor McGonagall, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

This line will differ based on your previous choice.

Shortly after, you’ll say that one fact supports your theory — their spines are indeed blunt and brittle. The second thing to confirm is whether the Shrakes are acting aggressively toward other creatures.
You’ll suggest diving below the surface to observe their behavior and see if your theory about their illness is correct. To do this safely, you’ll propose casting the Bubble-Head Charm, which will allow you to breathe underwater.
So, trace the wand movement to cast the Bubble-Head Charm.


Proceed to the Open Ocean Underwater when you are ready. Once you dive underwater, you’ll suggest starting the observation right away so as not to waste any time.
To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Your theory will prove to be correct — the Shrakes are not only suffering from blunt and brittle spines, but they’re also displaying unusually aggressive behavior. Now that you’ve confirmed the symptoms, you can begin working on the potion that will help heal these poor creatures.
You’ll remark that Shrakes are well known for shredding fishing nets, and Sal will agree, adding that this behavior is actually very important. Shrakes are part of a delicate magical ecosystem and play a crucial role in maintaining balanced fish populations.
Following that, Sal will ask you question: would you blame your friends for being themselves? There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

After a brief and thoughtful conversation with Sal, you’ll decide that it’s time to seek help from someone skilled in potion-making. To ensure the potion for the Shrakes is brewed correctly and effectively, you’ll head off to find Penny — someone you know you can count on when it comes to crafting powerful and precise magical remedies.

To move on to the next part of the adventure, you’ll need to complete a task of your choice and earn 5 stars. This step is essential to progress, so pick a task that suits your strengths and dive in!

While doing this task, it is recommended to select the duration that matches their star requirements.

Prioritize actions with bonus progress whenever they are available.

Try your best to complete all of the mini-tasks to earn some additional attribute points.
