Summer Nights Part 2
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for Summer Nights Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part, you learned from Hagrid that a Summer Nights dance would be held at Hogwarts. However, he couldn’t reveal the secret theme of the dance and instead asked for your help in deciding which creature was the cutest for the event. You then met with your friends and shared the news about the Summer Nights dance.
After a brief discussion, you decided to try to discover the theme, and you also got the chance to choose your date. Afterward, you meet with the person you chose as your date, but they ask you to start investigating the secret theme of the dance so they can get you the perfect gift.
Following a short discussion, you got the idea that Professor McGonagall might be involved in organizing the Summer Nights dance, so you immediately headed to see her. Now, your adventure continues as you seek to uncover the secret theme and ensure the perfect dance experience.

(Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a graduate student. This walkthrough will feature Merula as a date.)
Go to the Clocktower Courtyard to continue the story. Once you are there, you can tap the speech bubbles above friends’ heads to hear what they have to say. All your friends will gather and you will share some big news.

Tulip will be very excited.

You will point out that you will need help figuring out this next part. You’ll mention that Professor McGonagall needs help finding a replacement band for the dance. If you and your friends think of one, the Professor will give you the sheet music for what she calls the “premier song” of the night.

Tulip will say that getting the chance to decide who’ll be in charge of the music at Summer Nights is quite an honor. She’ll share her thoughts about the music, saying that the music is the most important part of any dance to a lot of people. She will ask you if you feel the same way. Feel free to choose the option you like, it will not influence the overall story.

The following line of dialogue will differ based on who your date is.

To pick a musical group, you need to earn five stars within three hours (eight hours for Years 5 and 6). All five stars are required to pass this task.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Penny, Andre, and Liz. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

At the end of the discussion, it will seem that almost everyone agrees the Weird Sisters are the perfect group to play Summer Nights. They met all of Professor McGonagall’s criteria, and they were a clear group favorite. The following line of dialogue will differ based on who your date is.

Tulip will conclude that the music band group is decided and you’d better hurry and find McGonagall to get the sheet music. You will recall that you should meet her at the Three Broomsticks. Depending on your date, this line of dialogue may be different.

Go to the Three Broomsticks to continue the story. Once there, you can check what visitors of the inn have to say by tapping on the speech bubbles above their heads. You will meet with Professor McGonagall.

She will explain that she came there to talk with Madam Rosmerta, but she’s nowhere to be found. To make things worse, none of the other planning committee members in Hogsmeade have been free to meet.

You will inform her about your and your friends’ decision that the Weird Sisters can play at Summer Nights and that they meet all of her criteria. You will explain that they are gifted performers, and fast learners, and the final reason will be because your date wants to dance to their music!

She will understand that your date’s happiness is quite important to you. Whom you’ll mention in your response will differ based on who your date is.

Professor McGonagall will point out that there’s a lot of work ahead for Summer Nights to become an annual tradition. McGonagall will ask you which quality of the Weird Sisters makes them most well-suited for the task. This answer won’t have a significant impact on the story, so feel free to choose the option you like. The second option will be available only if you complete “The Weird Sisters” adventure.

The Professor will mention that the premier song is a bit different from what the Weird Sisters typically play.

She’ll teach you what she can but she’ll keep a few things to herself or risk revealing the dance’s theme. To learn about the music, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to complete the task.

There is only one bonus progress action and it’s tied to Professor McGonagall. Prioritize actions tied to her to save a bit of energy. Don’t forget to slide the screen left and right to see all available options.

You will find out that the premier song of Summer Nights is something called a “strathspey”.

She will confirm what you said and she’ll explain that she can’t give everyone a dance lesson, so she’ll have to talk you all through it from the stage. She will point out that the song will be critical to the success of Summer Nights’ secret theme. The Professor will share one of her memories.

She will explain that the strathspey is a dance that rewards synchronicity, close attention, and collaboration. Shortly after, Professor McGonagall will prepare to go and she will say she trusts you can get that sheet music to the Weird Sisters, then she will leave the inn.

You will be happy that you got your first clue. You will conclude that you need to figure out what type of dance involves a strathspey. The following line of dialogue will differ based on who your date is.

You will decide to bring the music sheet to the Weird Sisters. Perhaps they’ll know what a strathspey means for Summer Nights. Go to the Training Grounds to meet with the Weird Sisters members.

The following line lines of dialogue will differ based on whether you know the band members from before or not.

They will be eager to hear what’s on your mind. You will explain that they have an incredible opportunity to play at the first-ever Summer Nights dance in Hogsmeade. You will explain that Professor McGonagall needs someone good at public performance, a quick learner, and someone who knows how to strike the perfect balance of romance and fun.

Myron will like this compliment and will share with you that they would love to play at Summer Nights. He will also mention that they will make sure that the night is extra romantic for you and your date. The following line of dialogue will differ based on who your date is.

Myron will think that this is an awesome opportunity for his band and he’ll offer to do something more to return the favor. You will mention that you’ve been trying to figure out Summer Nights’ secret theme for your date. The following lines of dialogue will differ.

You will further explain that Professor McGonagall gave you the sheet music for Summer Nights’ “premier song” and now you are forwarding it to them. You will ask the band members if they could shine some light on what it might reveal about the dance’s theme.

You will point out that anything will be helpful. You’ll share that it’s a strathspey. Kirley will be surprised.

To understand all of Kirley’s insight, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to complete this task. It is recommended to start this task once your energy bar is full.

All bonus progress actions are tied to Kirley. Prioritize actions tied to him to save a bit of energy.

You will discover that a strathspey is a traditional Scottish folk song, typically performed at a cèilidh, which is a type of Scottish social gathering or dance. Based on this conclusion, Kirley will think that the theme of Summer Nights’s dance will be a cèilidh. Your follow-up question will be if there are magical creatures involved in a cèilidh.

Kirley will be surprised by this but he will still bet that the cèilidh is most likely. Myron will have another idea.

Myron will ask about your opinion about what is more likely. This answer will influence some dialogue later but it won’t change the overall story.

Myron will say that they’ll learn the song you gave after a bit of practice. After that, they plan to focus on the slow songs they’ll play to make sure you and your date have a romantic night. You will remember to visit your date and share what you’ve learned so far.

Visit the Clocktower Courtyard to continue the story. You can hear what your friends have to say by tapping on the speech bubbles above their heads. You will share the great news.

You will explain that Kirley thinks the dance’s secret theme will be a cèilidh, Myron thinks it’s an “around the world” theme, and Orsino says it’s too early to say. The next line of dialogue will be based on your choice in the previous task.

Tulip will mention how all of the options make sense, but she’s confused about what picking the “cutest” magical creatures has to do with either of those themes. You’ll point out that even Kirley said there was no clear connection between creatures and ceilidhs.

Tulip will mention that it would be quite a tragedy if you all prepared for the wrong theme. The next line of dialogue will be based on your choice in the previous task.

You will claim that you know exactly where you can get another clue because McGonagall said there were other members of the planning committee working in Hogsmeade. You can find one of them, offer to help, and hope that yields another clue. Similar plans worked before.

Because you don’t know who the other members of the committee are, you will use a deduction to solve this mystery. You need to discuss with your friends the different parts of a dance that require planning and who might be in charge of them.
To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours (eight hours for Years 5 and 6). All five stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Tonks, Andre, Merula, and your character. Prioritize actions tied to them to save some energy. Don’t forget to slide the screen left and right to check all available options.

You will notice that nearly all your friends mentioned that no dance is complete without an array of sweets. Tulip will agree with you. She will ask you which of the Hogsmeade shopkeepers is most likely in charge of Summer Nights’ sweets. The correct answer is “The owner of Honeydukes”.

You’ll decide to go to the Honeydukes next and see if you can get the next clue from Ambrosius Flume. You will also bring your date with you.

This will mark the end of Part 2 of the Summer Nights Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems and 1 Chocolate Frog.
Can you persuade Ambrosius Flume to give you the next clue for the Summer Nights dance theme? What could it be? Find out in the next part of this adventure.
Thank you for reading.
