When you arrive, you’ll discover that a special guest is at Hogwarts, and Penny will then ask if you’ve ever heard of Nicolas Flamel.
There are two different options to choose from. Both of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Penny will add that Nicolas even created a real Philosopher’s Stone; he can do all sorts of things, including making the Elixir of Life, which can grant immortality to anyone who drinks it. You will also learn that Flamel is extremely old, over 600 years old. Shortly after, Dumbledore will introduce Flamel and ask you to listen carefully, as he wants to explain something to you.

You will learn that Nicolas Flamel is looking for student volunteers to assist him with his lecture at St Mungo’s. This is a rare opportunity to work with Flamel because he rarely leaves his home in Devon. You may never get another chance like this.
You and Penny will agree to volunteer. However, you will also notice that Merula wants to sign up, so it will be competitive. Penny will mention that some people say alchemy is too powerful and interferes with the laws of nature. She will then ask, with all that in mind, what you think about the study of alchemy.
There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Following that, Mr. Flamel will address you, adding that he will need to test your knowledge, which will determine whether you will be accepted as a volunteer. He will select three students to assist him at his St. Mungo’s lecture. You and Penny will immediately decide that it’s time to head to the library and start studying as soon as possible.
Go to the Library to continue the story. However, in the library, you will encounter a problem: all the alchemy books have already been checked out. You will also notice that Merula has taken a large amount of study material, so you will decide to approach her and ask if she might be willing to share. She will respond by asking why she should share and potentially increase the competition.

You must decide how each of you will fulfill your duties. He has three roles in mind. Firstly, he needs an affable, trustworthy volunteer to help him demonstrate alchemical techniques.
