Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 4 of our Walkthrough for the Curse of Love Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part, you discovered that the mysterious bee pendant holds a deeper secret than you could have ever imagined. Through your research and guidance from Professor Binns, you learned that the symbol on the pendant is a maker’s mark, closely resembling the Mark of Merlin. However, your attempts to speak with the portrait of Merlin were met with disappointment, as he was away on important portrait business.

But your determination led you to Sir Cadogan, who revealed that the pendant is a forgery and at least a thousand years old. Your search for answers continued as you met with Bill, who shared a disturbing revelation: the pendant seems to curse its wearer every few decades. Bill assured you that you had indeed found crucial information: the bee pendant dates back to the Middle Ages, suggesting it was forged by goblins due to the valuable materials used, including goblin silver.

You both then set out on the path to Godric’s Hollow. There, at King Ragnuk’s graveyard, he confessed to forging the bee pendant but claimed he did not curse it. He revealed an sad love story behind the pendant but didn’t know how to help you break the curse. You and Bill decided to split up to gather more information and possibly uncover how to finally lift the curse and awaken your crush from her enchanted slumber.

(Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a graduate student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 5 and above, some dialogue, the star, and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress with the main story.)

Proceed to the Great Hall when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. There, your friends will be waiting for you, and Charlie will inform you that Bill has sent an owl explaining everything about your trip to Godric’s Hollow. (The next lines of dialogue will differ depending on who you chose to be your Valentine, but in any case, it does not affect the story).

You’ll express your appreciation for their help and support, but you’ll also add that it won’t be easy to find a way to break the curse. Even after learning the story of the bee pendant, you still don’t know how to break it. Charlie will acknowledge that this makes things challenging but will remind you that you’ve dealt with curses before. He’ll then ask how you’re feeling. 

There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Following that, you’ll recall what King Ragnuk told you, that the pendant is hiding secrets yet to be revealed. This will prompt Tonks to suggest trying to use a revealing spell to uncover the secrets. She’ll ask you which spell would be most suitable for that. There are three options to choose from. The correct answer is ”Revelio”.

Trace the wand movement to cast Revelio.

Luckily, the spell will work, and the fake Mark of Merlin will disappear, revealing some sort of writing instead. You’ll suggest taking a closer look at the small text to decipher what it says.

To solve the riddle, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

You’ll successfully decipher the message written on the pendant.

You’ll be confident that this is indeed a clue and a secret method of breaking the curse, speculating that the witch’s parents must have hidden it here. You’ll ponder whether this means that love is connected to the magic that powers the curse. This line will differ based on your previous choice. 

You’ll state that the curse only activates when the giver and receiver have genuine feelings for one another, implying that the love that powers the curse is the key to breaking it. After a brief reanalysis of the riddle, you’ll conclude that you need to take your Valentine’s hand and express your sincere feelings for her.

Charlie will remind you that you need to do it at sunrise, while Tonks will emphasize that only your genuine feelings can break the curse.

Go to the Clocktower Courtyard to continue the story. Charlie will join you and mention that he’s here to check on how your curse-breaking progress is going.

He’ll add that, according to the riddle you found, breaking the pendant’s curse may be as simple as saying a few choice words. You’ll tell him that you need to think carefully and decide what those right words are.

You’ll agree with Charlie and remember that you and your Valentine were talking about what love and romance mean to you just before she fell into the enchanted sleep, realizing that you might be able to use that. However, Charlie will caution you to be careful not to miss the opportunity to break the curse. You’ll thank him, and then you’ll proceed to carefully choose the words you’ll say to your crush in order to break the curse.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Charlie and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

You will add that thinking about everything that has happened since your date has helped you find “Words That Are Longing To Be Heard.”

Charlie will say that sometimes just one word is enough, he’ll ask you what word you would use to describe your Valentine. There are three different options to choose from. They will all lead to the same outcome in the end, so feel free to take your pick.

After that, Charlie will acknowledge the pressure you’re under but assure you that all your friends are by your side, believing in your ability to succeed. He’ll emphasize their willingness to support you through this challenge.

Charlie will then mention that once you’ve broken the curse, they’ll make sure that you and your crush return to your date at the Three Broomsticks, where a Valentine’s Day party will await you. You’ll thank Charlie for his support, and you’ll head back to the Hospital Wing.

Proceed to the Hospital Wing when you are ready. When you arrive, you’ll feel a bit anxious, wondering if you’ve chosen the right words to wake up your Valentine.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. (Five stars and three hours for Year 5–Year 7 Chapter 36, and five stars and eight hours for Year 7 Chapter 36+.) Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Merula and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

After expressing your feelings to your crush, you’ll hope that it’s what she wants to hear.

This line will differ based on your previous choice. 

Luck will be on your side, and at that moment, your Valentine will wake up.

You’ll ask her if she remembers anything, and your crush will say that she remembers your visits. These lines will differ based on your previous choice. 

Your Valentine will also say that she heard your words, which brought her back from the enchanted sleep. She’ll add that you’ve clearly gone through a lot since she fell asleep and ask you how you’re feeling now. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Shortly after, you’ll suggest that since everything is now resolved, it would be nice to finish your date that you started at the Three Broomsticks.

Go to the Three Broomsticks to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive there, you’ll see that your friends have prepared a very nice and romantic Valentine’s Day party.

Following that, Bill will come over and greet you, expressing his joy that you succeeded in breaking the curse.

After a brief chat, you’ll mention that together, you all managed to break a curse that’s been around for over a thousand years with the power of magical words of love. You’ll suggest that now it’s time for everyone to enjoy the party that your friends have prepared.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

In the first phase bonus progress actions are tied to your Valentine and Ben.

In the second phase bonus progress actions are tied to your Valentine.

In the final phase bonus progress actions are tied to your character.

Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

Your Valentine will comment that, even though she was cursed, Valentine’s Day wasn’t terrible at all. Then she’ll ask which memory of this adventure was worth cherishing for you. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Your crush will say that this has been quite a memorable Valentine’s Day, expressing appreciation for being saved from the curse. You’ll tell her that you don’t believe she wants the bee pendant back even though it’s no longer cursed, but she’ll insist that you should keep it as a reminder of the time you shared. Of course, she’ll also remind you to be careful and watch out for strange pendants in the future.

With this, the Curse of Love Adventure will come to an end. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 4 Gems, 1000 Experience Points, and 3 Chocolate Frogs. You’ll earn the achievement for completing the adventure.

You will also get the Bee pendant, which thanks to you is no longer cursed.
