Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for The Rise of a Curse-Breaker Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, you talked to Wingardium Leviosa Kid and learned that he wants to become a curse-breaker. You also learned that his name is Wilfred Levi Kidd, and he asked you to be his mentor.

You agreed to help him, and after doing some research in the Library, you’ve decided to introduce him to Bill Weasley. You asked Bill to let Levi and you join him on one of his missions for Gringotts. Before agreeing to it, Bill wanted Levi to understand the dangers of being a curse-breaker, so you went to talk to Beatrice about her experience of being a victim of the portrait curse. Even after hearing about it, Levi was still determined to become a curse-breaker, so you decided to visit Gringotts and meet up with Bill.

[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 7 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 6 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on the year you’re in.]

Once you start this part, you’ll be met with four hours of waiting time. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Head to Gringotts Wizarding Bank once the waiting time is over. Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are interested to see what they have to say. Levi will find the place absolutely amazing.

The following line will differ based on whether this is your first time visiting Gringotts or not.

Shortly after, Bill will greet you and realize that Levi has made his decision. Wilfred will assure him of his strong determination to become a curse-breaker. Bill will be pleased to hear that and then proceed to introduce Levi and you to Griphook.

The following lines will differ based on whether or not you completed Adventures in Curse-Breaking.

Bill will mention that he’s invited Levi and you to join him on his upcoming job, and following that, Griphook will begin to explain the mission details. Listening to Griphook requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are bonus actions tied to Griphook, Levi, Odbert, and your character. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.

You will learn that the mission involves finding a treasure buried in the Forbidden Forest and by the looks of it, the treasure is located in the Red Cap’s hole.

Griphook will explain that the bank requested a client to repay their debt, but instead, the client chose to bury their treasure. You will assure Griphook that you can locate the treasure. Bill will comment that this mission appears relatively simple compared to some others. If you’ve completed Adventures in Curse-Breaking, you will get an additional line of dialogue.

However, Bill will want to make sure everything goes according to plan. He’ll want to know how you will behave if the situation becomes dangerous. There are two options to reply with. Neither of those will have any big impact on the story, so feel free to take your pick.

Shortly after, the three of you will head to the Forbidden Forest. Proceed to the Red Cap’s hole when you are ready. Bill will propose locating the treasure swiftly and giving it to Griphook. Surprisingly, you will all notice a Sphinx guarding the treasure.

By the looks of it, you will have to defeat the Sphinx in order to claim the treasure.

You will wonder how to defeat this creature. If you are a member of the Sphinx Club, your character will mention it.

Bill will advise you to ask the Sphinx your question, and you’ll turn to the creature and ask how to defeat it.

Sphinx will say that you need to solve three riddles and obtain the ‘Gifts of Hogwarts’. However, there is a catch. Failing to complete the Sphinx’s quest will have dire consequences.

Levi will quickly realize that the creature is serious about the threat.

You’ll ask if Levi is having doubts about being a curse-breaker, and he’ll assure you he’s committed to his dream. Shortly after, He’ll ask if you have any tips for what to do when you need to muster up some courage. There are three options to choose from. This choice won’t have any impact on the outcome of the story, so feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.

Levi will thank you for cheering him up, and he’ll confirm his readiness for the mission. You’ll let him talk to the Sphinx, and Levi will inform the creature that you’re all up for its challenge. The Sphinx will explain that you need to solve a riddle to find the first ‘Gift of Hogwarts.’

You will inform the Sphinx that you are prepared, and in response, the creature will provide you with the clue.

Bill will express curiosity about the answer, and you will propose solving it together. Solving the first riddle requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are reward actions tied to your character and Levi. Focus on those if you are looking to save as much energy as possible.

Regrettably, neither you nor Bill will manage to solve the riddle. Levi will step in and reveal that he knows the answer. He’ll explain that he figured out that the object you’re seeking is made of metal and can fly. Bill will guess if he’s referring to a Nimbus racing broom, but Levi will smile and indicate it’s another object. He’ll then drop a hint to help you out.

Bill, and you will immediately realize he is talking about the Golden Snitch. You’ll praise Levi for figuring out the answer.

The Sphinx will explain that to confirm if your answer is correct, you need to bring back the first ‘Gift of Hogwarts,’ which is a Golden Snitch. However, it won’t be easy to find one. Your plan is to visit Andre and seek his assistance.

Head to the Transfiguration classroom once you are ready to continue. Andre will be curious as to why you are looking for him.

He’ll ask if you have a fashion emergency. There are two options to reply with. This choice won’t affect the story in any meaningful way, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

You’ll introduce Levi to Andre, and your friend will remember him as the student who struggled with Wingardium Leviosa.

Levi will mention that he’s working to improve his skills, and you’ll note that you’re helping him on his journey to becoming a curse-breaker.

Bill will ask Andre how to get a Golden Snitch, and Andre will respond with a funny joke about it.

He’ll then inquire why you need a Golden Snitch, and you’ll explain that you’re trying to beat a Sphinx. He’ll suggest you could ask Madam Hooch for one, but he’s skeptical she’d give it to you. You’ll then ask about the past Golden Snitches. Andre will mention it’s a complex question to answer, and Levi will express interest in hearing more.

Learning about Golden Snitches requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

There are bonus actions linked to Andre and Bill. Focus on their actions if you want to save some energy.

According to Andre, a Golden Snitch forms a bond with the first person who touches it, and a new one is used for each game. He’ll mention that once a Snitch is caught, it’s forever connected to the player who captured it. Then you’ll inquire about where a used Golden Snitch ends up after the match, Andre can’t provide an answer. Levi will suggest the possibility of finding a used Golden Snitch on the black market.

Bill will approve of the idea, but both of them are unsure about how to begin. Fortunately, you’ll have a friend who can assist.

You will suggest visiting Jae in the kitchens to see if he can help you find a Golden Snitch. Proceed to the Kitchens when you are ready to continue. Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say. Jae will be surprised to see you in the kitchens again.

You’ll explain to Jae that you need his assistance in obtaining an item, which will pique his curiosity. Levi will inform him that you are searching for a used Golden Snitch, and Jae will tease him about his struggles with Wingardium Leviosa.

Levi doesn’t find the joke amusing, but you express confidence that he will eventually master the Levitation Charm.

Levi will explain that you are on a curse-breaking mission with Bill, which is why you need a Golden Snitch. Jae will find your curse-breaking mission much more exciting than making sandwiches in the kitchens.

Levi will point out that Jae is in detention for a reason, and Jae will realize that he’s upset about the earlier joke. He’ll ask for your opinion. If you like Levi, it is recommended to pick the first option. On the other hand, if you like Jae, you should select the second one.

Afterward, you will ask Jae if he knows where you can find a used Golden Snitch. He will nod and say he can get you all sorts of things, and one of his contacts should have the item you need. You will inquire if he can take you to his contact, but he will mention that he’s stuck in detention and can’t leave. Your previous choice will take effect here.

Jae will ask you to help him sneak out, and in return, he will take you to see his contact in Knockturn Alley. After considering it for a moment, you will agree to his proposition. Still, you need to figure out how to sneak him out. Levi will suggest distracting Pitts to provide Jae with the option to escape, so you decide to go and distract Pitts.

You will ask him for a moment of his time.

You’ll tell Pitts that you have some questions you’d like to ask him, but he will reply that he is busy watching over students. To distract Pitts, you will need to earn five stars within an hour. All five stars are needed to pass, so don’t start this task if you are low on energy.

There are reward actions tied to Pitts and your character. Focus on those if you want to save as much energy as possible.

Jae will use the opportunity to slip away unnoticed.

After you’re done, Pitts will mention that he needs to get back to work. You’ll thank him for his time, and Levi will be pleased with the outcome. You’ll then decide to proceed to Knockturn Alley to meet Jae’s contact, and Levi will wish you good luck before you depart.

Proceed to Knockturn Alley when you are ready. Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say. Jae will take you to the meeting spot.

You will ask if he believes that his contact has a Golden Snitch, and he’ll explain that his relationship with the contact is kind of complicated. Then he’ll wonder why helping Levi is so important to you. There are three options to reply with. This choice will affect one of the dialogues later on, but it won’t significantly impact the story, so feel free to take your pick.

Shortly after, you’ll thank Jae for helping you, and moments later, his contact will arrive. Jae will ask you not to alarm him.

The contact and Jae will exchange a few words.

The two of them will then glare at each other for a while. Shortly after, both of them will start laughing. If you’ve met Alistair before, you will get some additional lines of dialogue. Otherwise, you will politely greet him.

You’ll tell Alistair that you don’t want any trouble, and Jae will inform him that you are looking for a used Golden Snitch. Alistair will admit that he does have a Golden Snitch and then you ask if he would be willing to sell it to you.

Surprisingly enough, Alistair will decide to give you the Golden Snitch for free. His lines will differ slightly based on your previous encounters with him.

You’ll doubt if he’s being honest with such a generous offer. To prove he’s not trying to deceive you, Alistair will decide to show you the Golden Snitch. Inspecting the Golden Snitch requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why you shouldn’t start this task if you are low on energy.

There are bonus actions tied to Alistair and your character. Prioritize those if you are looking to save some energy.

Upon inspecting the Golden Snitch, you will realize that Alistair isn’t trying to trick you.

You’ll say thanks to Alistair for the Golden Snitch and then arrange to meet Bill and Levi to take the first ‘Gift of Hogwarts’ to the Sphinx.
