Proceed to the Open Ocean when you are ready. When you arrive, Liz will be waiting for you. She’ll thank you for coming and explain that she called you because she urgently needs to talk. 

She’ll then mention that there’s a problem with your Horned Serpent, pointing out that it’s been making some truly strange sounds. You’ll thank her for letting you know, and together you’ll decide to take a closer look at the Horned Serpent to figure out what exactly is going on.

To feed and examine the Serpent, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass. 

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

You’ll notice that this Horned Serpent isn’t yours — its coloring is different. You and Liz will wonder where this second Horned Serpent came from and what it’s doing here. Liz will suggest that it might be invasive and hostile, or perhaps just curious and friendly — maybe even lost. She’ll then ask what you think.

There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Soon after, Liz will decide to name the mysterious new Horned Serpent Red. Realizing that understanding more about this creature is essential, you will agree to visit Hagrid to learn what might be wrong with Red and how you can help him.

This line will differ based on your previous choice.

Go to Hagrid’s Hut to discuss with Hagrid. When you arrive at Hagrid’s hut, you will inform him about the new Horned Serpent in your reserve, sharing that you’ve named it Red. You will also explain the low musical tone the serpent emits, which you recognized as a warning of danger. This line will differ based on your previous choice.

You will also mention that you’re worried your Horned Serpent might get into danger because of this. Hagrid will say that he wants to help you, but first, you’ll need to assist him in finding some Gillyweed because he’s forgotten where he put it.

To find the Gillyweed, you need to earn five stars within one hour. Three stars are required to pass. 

Bonus progress actions are tied to the small box and Fang. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

You will successfully find a small box where Hagrid had kept the Gillyweed, and he will say that you’re now ready to go underwater and investigate what’s going on with your Horned Serpent and Red. He’ll then ask you how that sounds.

There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

With everything set, you’ll eagerly agree to dive underwater with Hagrid. Together, you’ll prepare to explore the depths and see what’s happening with your Horned Serpent and Red. Time to uncover the mystery beneath the water’s surface!

Proceed to the Open Ocean when you are ready. When you arrive at the shore, you’ll quickly notice that Red is no longer there either—meaning he must have gone underwater. Hagrid will suggest that Red was probably trying to warn you because something unusual is happening beneath the surface. You’ll decide to dive in as well, with a healthy dose of caution.

To search underwater, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Hagrid. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

You’ll realize that your Horned Serpent and Red are guarding an egg that’s about to hatch. They’ve gathered together around the nest, protecting it. Hagrid will then ask you what you think the explanation for this might be. The correct answer is “They’re protecting their egg” .

He’ll then ask you what you think about the fact that your Horned Serpent has found a mate. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You’ll ask Hagrid to teach you everything he knows about eggs, but he’ll admit that he doesn’t know much about raising a Horned Serpent egg. He’ll explain that he needs to reach out to a friend of his first, and suggest meeting back at his hut afterward.

This will mark the end of Part 1 of The Serpent and the Egg Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 20 Food and 200 Coins.
