The Sorcerer’s Olympiad Part 2
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for The Sorcerer’s Olympiad Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the thrilling debut of Hogwarts’ first-ever outdoor sporting event, The Sorcerer’s Olympiad, four challengers—Andre, Penny, Barnaby, and yourself—are set to face a series of exhilarating tests. The excitement is real as each challenge will be judged by a different celebrity, adding an extra layer of prestige and intensity to the competition.
After discussing with your friends, you deduced that the Olympiad would feature three challenges: Flying, Rowing, and an Underwater Challenge. With the Flying Challenge set to kick off first, you and your friends prepared diligently. Under the expert guidance of Tonks, you honed your flying skills and felt confident as you made your way to the Quidditch Pitch.
There, the famous Quidditch star Gwenog Jones awaited to officiate. She explained the rules for the first round: each challenger would need to balance on one leg atop their broom while soaring high above the pitch. The last challenger remaining in the air would win, and the first to falter would be eliminated.
As the competition began, everyone held their own despite the challenges posed by strong gusts of wind. However, disaster struck when Andre, who had managed to maintain his balance, suddenly lost control of his broom and began to fall. Fortunately, Madam Hooch acted swiftly, rescuing Andre from a dangerous fall and transporting him to the Hospital Wing.

Proceed to the Hospital Wing when you are ready to check on Andre. When you greet Andre, you ask him how he’s feeling after his fall, expressing that you didn’t expect him to fall.

You’ll express your concern for Andre, saying you were worried about him getting hurt. He’ll reassure you that he’s fine now and that he’s been well cared for in the Hospital Wing. However, he’ll mention that he’s out of the competition and that he should probably congratulate you for advancing to the next round.

Andre will speculate that he either had bad luck or someone might have jinxed him. He’ll add that the wind moved him over the goal post and he slipped off his broom, suggesting it could just be a series of unfortunate events. He’ll then ask you what you think most likely caused the accident based on what he’s told you.
There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Andre will mention that he’s heard staff talking about their concern that the next challenge might result in even more hospital beds being filled. You’ll agree, noting that there are still the rowing and underwater challenges left.
You’ll wonder what the next challenge will be after the flying one, and Andre will tell you that he overheard a nurse saying that the second round will involve the use of magic. He’ll add that she was discussing the potential risks of using magic to power a boat.

You’ll decide to prepare thoroughly by studying any spells that could power a boat. After bidding farewell to Andre, you’ll head to the library to research relevant spells and ensure you’re ready for the next challenge. This line will differ based on your previous choice.

Go to the Library to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. In the library, you’ll run into Tonks, who will mention that she heard you visited Andre after the incident. She’ll ask how he’s doing.

She’ll say she’s glad Andre is doing well, adding that it was quite a fall. These lines will differ based on your previous choice.

Tonks will then ask you what you’re expecting from round two, given everything that’s happened. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Tonks will conclude that you’re here to prepare for the next round and will offer to help. You’ll inform her that you’ve learned from Andre that the next challenge will be the rowing challenge.

Together, you’ll conclude that the spell Aguamenti would be the most useful for moving a boat. These lines will differ based on which year you attend.

Tonks will mention that she knows just the person who can help you and will direct you to the Training Grounds, where you’ll meet them.

Proceed to the Training Grounds when you are ready to study Aguamenti. When you arrive at the Training Grounds, you’ll see Professor Flitwick. You’ll tell him that Tonks mentioned she’d send someone to help you study Aguamenti, but you didn’t expect it would be him.

You’ll explain to him that you need to use magic to propel a boat in round two of the competition and that you and Tonks thought Aguamenti might be useful for that purpose.

He’ll say that since there are no rules restricting professors from helping, he’d be happy to assist you. You’ll be very grateful for his support. These lines will differ based on which year you attend.

Professor Flitwick will then ask you to try casting the spell. So trace the wand movement to cast Aguamenti.

You’ll successfully cast the spell, achieving the effect needed to propel the boat for the upcoming challenge.

Following that, Professor Flitwick will ask if it’s true that Aguamenti can be used to extinguish any fire, including Fiendfyre. The correct answer is “That is false”.

Professor Flitwick will then tell you to hurry because the second round is about to begin.

Proceed to the Lakeshore when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. You will greet Penny and Barnaby and ask them if you’re late.

It will turn out that the celebrity judge for this challenge is Hagrid.

Penny will say that she didn’t expect Hagrid to be the celebrity judge and will ask you what you think about it. There are three options to choose from. If you like Hagrid, it is recommended to pick the third option.

Afterward, Hagrid will say that he might not be as celebrated as Ms. Gwenog Jones or as famous as the judge you’ll meet in round three. He’ll explain that he’s brought new students safely across this lake for years and knows the waters well. He’ll also add that, according to Professor Dumbledore, that makes him the right judge for this round.

Hagrid will explain that round two is a simple boat race: whoever crosses the finish line last will be eliminated. He’ll add that for this challenge, you can’t use any oars or touch the water at all. If you do, you’ll be disqualified.

To win the race, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

Barnaby and you will successfully cross the finish line, which means that only you and he will remain for the third round.

Sadly, Penny won’t have moved from the starting line, and she’ll be very upset about it.

Hagrid will congratulate you and Barnaby, and you’ll praise Barnaby, saying he did a great job with Bombarda. He’ll respond that it was effective but a bit dangerous. Both of you will agree that something strange happened with Penny since she’s very skilled with spells, which makes it odd to have two unfortunate events in a row. This line will differ based on your previous choice.

This will mark the end of Part 2 of The Sorcerer’s Olympiad Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems and 1 Chocolate frog.
