The Third Quidditch Cup Part 2
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for The Third Quidditch Cup Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you learned that your team will be competing for the Quidditch Cup in the final match of the season. Afterward, you talked to Orion, and he told you that he wants you to remain the acting captain for the rest of the season. While talking to him, Penny arrived and informed you that the opposing team’s captain wanted to have a word with you. After meeting with him at the courtyard, the tensions between the teams started rising, because one of the teams managed to catch the Legendary Snitch of Hogsmeade.
While you were trying to calm everyone down, Murphy overheard the conversation and asked you and the captain of the opposing team to meet him on the Quidditch pitch. There, he introduced you to Badger Picklish, who told you that the Lucky Snitch didn’t bring his team any luck. During your conversation, Murphy’s pet Kneazle grabbed the Golden Snitch and swallowed it. Unfortunately for the poor creature, the Snitch started leading him across the pitch and towards the Training Grounds.
Thankfully, with the help of Orion and Skye, you were able to catch Kneil and retrieve the Snitch. Later on, your team decided that they didn’t need the help of the Lucky Snitch to win the final match. Murphy advised you to talk to Professor McGonagall and ask her to help you get rid of the Golden Snitch.

Proceed to the Transfiguration classroom when you are ready to meet with her. Professor McGonagall will be happy to see you and Murphy.
She will assume that the two of you want to play some wizard chess, but you’ll tell her that you came for a different reason. You’ll ask her to help you get rid of the Golden Snitch, and as soon as Professor McGonagall sees it, she’ll recognize it as the Legendary Snitch of Hogsmeade.
You’ll tell her about the recent events. These lines will differ based on whether or not you’ve completed the Legendary Snitch of Hogsmeade adventure.
The Professor will be amazed after taking a good look at the Snitch.
If you completed Secrets of Godric’s Hollow adventure, you’ll get a few additional lines of dialogue.
Professor McGonagall will tell you some things about Bowman Wright.
She will be hesitant to help you get rid of the Snitch. You have two options to try and convince her to help you. This choice will have some impact on certain dialogue lines, but it won’t significantly affect the story, so feel free to go with the option you prefer.
In the end, Professor McGonagall will agree to help you, and you’ll be happy to hear that. Still, you’ll need to figure out the best way to get rid of the Snitch.
After thinking about it for a moment, you’ll ask the professor if it would be possible to transfigure the Golden Snitch into a Snidget. These lines will differ based on whether or not you’ve learned to transfigure Goldfinches into Snitches.
Professor McGonagall will like your idea, so she’ll decide to teach you the Objects to Birds Spell. Learning Objects to Birds Spell requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.
There are bonus progress actions tied to Murphy and Professor McGonagall. Prioritize them if you want to save some energy.
You will thank Professor McGonagall for teaching you the spell. She’ll tell you to cast the Objects to Birds Spell upon the Legendary Golden Snitch of Hogsmeade. So, trace the wand movement on the screen to cast the spell.
The spell will work and the Golden Snitch will turn into a Snidget.
Professor McGonagall will praise your Transfiguration skills.
Now, none of the teams will have an unfair advantage for the Quidditch Cup final.
Also, Badger will be pleased to hear that the Snitch is gone for good, so you’ll decide to tell everyone the news.
Proceed to the Quidditch pitch when you are ready. Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of your teammates. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say. Badger will be happy to see you.
He’ll admit he was starting to worry, but you will smile and say that you have some good news. Some of your previous choices will take effect here.
Badger will wholeheartedly thank you for getting rid of the Snitch.
Murphy will remind you of all of the things you had to do to acquire the Lucky Snitch.
Badger will tell you he was quite busy while you were chasing the Snitch. He’ll say that he had the chance to watch your opponents practice for the final match, and he will offer you a free piece of strategy as a thank-you for helping him get rid of the Snitch.
You’ll thank him for the offer, but you won’t want any unfair advantage. Badger will explain that he wants to offer strategy advice to your opponents as well. That way, it will be even for both teams. Murphy will love his idea, and you’ll decide to hear him out.
Strategizing with Badger requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are out of energy.
Make sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are bonus progress actions tied to Skye and your character. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.
He’ll tell you that you can use your opponent’s gullibility against them.
You will figure out that you might get the chance to use the Fake Out maneuver.
You’ll thank him once again for helping you strategize.
You will need to complete one Quidditch friendly before you can continue. For this one, you can feel free to play any position you prefer. However, since you will be playing Keeper during the final match, it is recommended to pick that position.
As always, try your best to complete all the maneuvers successfully to earn the rewards.
Once you are done, you will need to wait three hours before you can continue. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.
Proceed to the Training Grounds once the waiting time is over. When you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say. Penny will be happy to see you coming to the pre-match party.
You’ll tell her you are glad to have so many amazing fans.
Penny will be happy that you were able to save the Quidditch season and will look forward to the final match. Suddenly, she will spot someone standing behind you. You’ll turn around and spot Rita Skeeter.
The following lines will differ, based on your previous interactions with Rita.
Apparently, she is interested to learn more about your team’s journey to the top.
Answering Rita’s questions requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.
There are bonus progress actions tied to Skye and Rita. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.
Before she leaves, Rita will say that she wants to ask you one last question. As it seems, she’s heard about the Legendary Snitch of Hogsmeade.
She’ll ask if there’s anything you want to say about it. There are two options to reply with. Both options will lead to a similar outcome, so feel free to pick the one you prefer.
Thankfully, Orion will arrive to help you.
He will praise you for doing an amazing job as acting captain.
You’ll thank him for his kind words. Rita will be curious to know which one of you is going to lead the team next season. Orion will smile cheekily and say that she won’t get an answer to that question before the next season. Shortly after, the two of you will leave the training grounds.
Proceed to the Quidditch Changing Room when you are ready to continue. When you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of your teammates. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say. Skye will be happy to see you.
The following lines will differ based on the outcome of the previous two seasons.
You’ll tell her that winning the final match won’t be easy, and Skye will agree with you. According to Orion, everyone in the team will be put to the test. Because of that, he will suggest having a vivification ceremony. This requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
There are bonus progress actions tied to Bean and Orion. Prioritize these if you want to save some energy.
You’ll thank Orion for his inspiring words, and you will then say a few words to your teammates to remind them of everything the team went through throughout the season.
You’ll be confident they have what it takes to win the Quidditch Cup, and everyone will happily cheer after hearing your words.
Shortly after, you and your teammates will leave the changing room. The task window will display all the relevant information. Hit Start when you are ready to begin the match.
Murphy will welcome everyone to the Quidditch Cup final.
After a brief speech, he will introduce your opponents.
The following lines will differ, based on the results of the previous two seasons.
Murphy will then introduce your team.
Moments later, the Quidditch Cup final will begin. In essence, this match is fairly similar to most other house matches you played during the season. Try your best to stay calm, and focus on successfully completing as many maneuvers as possible. Even if you fail a few of them, you can still end up winning the match.
Near the end of the match, you’ll need to perform the Fake Out maneuver.
If you complete it successfully, you will notice Badger Picklish proudly looking at you.
Once you are done, hit the Collect button to claim your rewards.
Murphy will announce the final score.
The following lines will differ, based on the outcome of the match and the previous two seasons.
If you win the match, you’ll make your Head of House proud. On top of that, all of your teammates will be incredibly happy.
The following section will play out differently based on the outcome of the match. Either way, Orion will be proud of the whole team and everything they accomplished during the whole season.
Moments later, Badger will arrive and say a few words. If you successfully performed the Fake Out maneuver, he will praise you.
All that’s left is to attend the award ceremony. Proceed to the Lower Floor – West when you are ready to continue. Madam Hooch will welcome everyone.
Her following lines will differ based on the outcome of the match and the previous two seasons.
Everyone will happily cheer at that.
If your team won the final match, you will thank Madam Hooch and accept the trophy on your team’s behalf.
You will then say a few words about the hardships your team had to overcome during the season.
Madam Hooch will be curious to know which factor was most responsible for your team’s comeback. There are three options to reply with. While this choice won’t significantly impact the story, it is recommended to pick the first option and credit the whole team.
Madam Hooch will look forward to the next Quidditch season.
This will conclude Part 2 of The Third Quidditch Cup adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 5 Gems, 30 HP, 50 Dragon, and 2 Chocolate Frogs.
