Wandering Sea Serpent Part 3
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Wandering Sea Serpent Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part of our adventure, you and Barnaby managed to reach the bottom of the Black Lake. There, you noticed that the sea serpent was searching for someone and sending out underwater calls. The lake was eerily empty, with no fish or other creatures in sight, which unfortunately meant you couldn’t test if the sea serpent was there in search of food. When you returned to Hagrid, you decided to feed your creature together to see if it would head towards the Black Lake again. Despite being well-fed, it soon made its way back to the lake, prompting you to follow it once more.
This time, you discovered that the sea serpent was meeting with its friend, a merkid. Upon seeing you, the merkid became agitated and somewhat angry, thinking you were a threat. However, you decided to gain its trust by playing with them and showing that you, too, are a friend of the sea serpent. You tried to explain that you wanted to find a solution to the problem because the sea serpent causes significant damage when it leaves the reserve, but you also wanted them to remain friends. Unfortunately, the language barrier proved to be an issue, so you decided to seek help from Professor Dumbledore.

Proceed to Lakeshore when you are ready. When you arrive, you will thank Professor Dumbledore for agreeing to help you.

He will say that it is an honor to help and that strengthening relations between wizardkind and non-human peoples is very important to him. You will tell him that you truly appreciate it.


The Headmaster will say that, on the one hand, you cannot allow the Sea Serpent to continue its travels to and from the Black Lake, while on the other hand, you mustn’t break the friendship that has formed between the Sea Serpent and the merperson.


He will say that you are the closest to this situation and the one best suited to lead the discussion, adding that he has the utmost faith in you. Then he will suggest beginning the discussion about that. To negotiate a solution, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the sea serpent, Professor Dumbledore, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

You will suggest that perhaps it would be best if the merkid visited the sea serpent in the reserve. That way, the two can still be friends and play together whenever they want. Professor Dumbledore will like your idea.


Professor Dumbledore will say that the merkid likes the idea and wants to learn more about the Magical Creatures Reserve. The merkid will then ask Dumbledore what you think is the most impressive aspect of the Magical Creatures Reserve. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Following that, you will ask the professor if he could invite the merkid to come visit the reserve so that you can fulfill the merkid’s request and show that the sea serpent is happy there. He will gladly accept and ask the merkid, who will respond positively.


Professor Dumbledore will then say that he will arrange a visit so your young friend can see the reserve and verify the Sea Serpent’s well-being.

Go to the Open Ocean to impress the merkid. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, Hagrid will inform you that the merkid came into the reserve without any trouble, which the merkid will also confirm.

These lines will differ based on your previous choice.


Then you’ll suggest starting to show the merkid around the reserve.

To show off the reserve, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the rock, merkid, and sea serpent. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

When you finish, you’ll notice that the merkid really likes the reserve. Hagrid will praise you and say that he knew you could do it, successfully stopping the Sea Serpent from wandering and, most importantly, protecting a precious friendship.


Following that, Hagrid will ask you which part of this adventure you will remember the most. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Hagrid will comment that the sea serpent couldn’t ask for a better friend than you, to which your sea friend will agree.


Shortly after, you will approach your sea friend and tell him that you’re glad he and the merkid are still friends and that you hope he will be happy in the reserve from now on.


This will conclude the end of Part 3 of the Wandering Sea Serpent Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 4 Gems, 2 Chocolate Frogs, 500 Experience Points, and 200 Hagrid Experience Points.
You’ll earn the achievement for completing the adventure.

You’ll also get a bonus reward, which is the Sea Serpent Sweater in your wardrobe.
