Welcome to the Slug Club Part 2

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for Welcome to the Slug Club Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, you learned that the Holyhead Harpies are visiting Hogwarts for a special Quidditch exhibition. Andre told you he has two VIP passes for the exhibition, and he asked you to go with him.

Once the exhibition was over, you and Andre went to meet one of the Holyhead Harpies, Gwenog Jones in the locker room. She told you that her old Potions professor, Horace Slughorn, was supposed to be in the VIP section during the exhibition, but for some reason, he didn’t show up. Since she has a very busy schedule, she asked you and Andre to help her locate Slughorn and make sure he is all right.

You learned that the person who most likely knows where you can find Slughorn is none other than Lucius Malfoy. However, because Lucius can be difficult to deal with, Gwenog suggested you visit Professor Snape and ask him for advice on how to approach Malfoy.

Since the adventure is available for students of Year 4 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]

Go to the Potions classroom when you are ready to talk to Professor Snape. You’ll approach Snape and ask for a moment of his time.

Unfortunately, he’ll tell you he is busy preparing for his next class. You will tell him you need his advice on how to approach Lucius Malfoy. You’ll also mention that Gwenog Jones asked you for help.

The following lines of dialogue will differ, depending on whether or not you completed Meet the Malfoys adventure.

Snape will confirm that he knows Lucius well. Sadly, he will be too busy to talk to you. You’ll immediately offer to help him. In the meantime, he could tell you about Lucius Malfoy.

After considering it for a moment, Snape will agree to your proposition. He will ask you to fetch some ingredients for him.

You need to earn five stars within three hours to complete this task. Three stars are required to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Snape and your character. Prioritize them to save energy.

You’ll learn that the best way to approach Lucius is to be brief, direct, and complimentary. Still, you won’t be sure where to find him, so you’ll ask Snape about it.

Before he answers your question, Snape will ask why you want to meet Lucius. There are three options to choose from. If you like Andre, it is recommended to pick the second option. Keep in mind that selecting that option requires you to have friendship level 10 with Andre.

In the end, Snape will tell you that Lucius often goes to Diagon Alley when he is not at home. If you never met Lucius before, Snape will describe him to you.

Moments later, you will leave the classroom. Go to Diagon Alley when you are ready to continue. When you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say.

Andre will thank you for talking to Professor Snape. You’ll recall what he told you earlier. Moments later, you will spot Lucius Malfoy and Dobby. If this is your first time meeting them, this line will be slightly different.

If you completed Meet the Malfoys adventure, Lucius will recognize you immediately. The choice you made near the end of that adventure will take effect here.

Unfortunately, Lucius will make it clear that he doesn’t have time to stay and chat with you. Andre will quickly tell him that the two of you were sent by Gwenog Jones. You’ll also use the opportunity to say that both you and Andre are his fans.

This will work, and Lucius will decide to hear you out. You’ll tell him you need his help to locate Horace Slughorn.

Malfoy will immediately assume you want to pester Slughorn about the Slug Club. There are two options for you to reply with. If you are interested in joining the Slug Club, it is recommended to pick the second option.

Lucius will tell you that the Slug Club is an extremely exclusive society. He’ll say that only the best and brightest students get invited to become its members.

Andre won’t be too happy to hear that. He’ll remind Malfoy that Professor Slughorn is deciding who gets invited. In the end, Lucius will agree to tell you where to find Slughorn.

Listening to Malfoy is your next task. You need to earn five stars within three hours to complete it. All five stars are required to pass.

There are actions with bonus progress tied to Andre and Dobby. Focus on those actions to save energy.

According to Lucius, Professor Slughorn spends most of his free time at ‘The Laughing Burro’. You’ll find that odd since you never heard of a restaurant with that name.

He’ll tell you that patrons often call it ‘The Burro’ for short. Andre will find the name familiar. Lucius will even give you a pinch of Floo powder and tell you to use the chimney in the Leaky Cauldron to travel. Andre will thank him for that.

Lucius will then ask if there’s anything you want to say. There are three options for you to reply with. If you want to be polite, it is recommended to pick the first option.

Shortly after, you and Andre will head to Leaky Cauldron. Unfortunately, you will need to wait four hours before you can continue. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Go to the Leaky Cauldron once the waiting time is over. When you get there, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.

You’ll notice that the place is completely packed. You’ll approach the bartender and ask him for a moment of his time. Sadly, he will be too busy to talk. You’ll then tell him that you were sent by Lucius Malfoy.

The bartender will consider it for a moment and say that he can talk to you if you take some food orders and clear a few tables. Having no other options, you’ll agree to his proposition.

Helping the bartender is your next task. You need to earn five stars within three hours to complete it. All five stars are required to pass.

Make sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are actions with bonus progress tied to Andre and some of the empty glasses. Prioritize those actions to save energy.

The bartender will be satisfied with your job. You’ll finally be able to ask him to use his fireplace to travel to ‘The Laughing Burro’. The bartender will say that he never heard of a restaurant with that name.

Thankfully, he will agree to let you use his fireplace. Moments later, Andre and you will step into the fireplace and use the Floo powder to travel to ‘The Burro’.

Not long after that, you will arrive at your destination. However, the place you will find yourselves at will look nothing like a restaurant.

The following lines will differ, depending on whether or not you visited the Burrow before. If you did, you will immediately realize you are in the Weasley home.

Moments later, Molly Weasley will approach you. If you’ve met her before, she’ll be surprised to see you. Otherwise, you will introduce yourself, and she’ll realize you are one of Charlie’s classmates.

You will tell her you are looking for Horace Slughorn. You’ll also say that Lucius Malfoy told you where to find him. Apparently, Molly never heard of a place called ‘The Laughing Burro’.

She will tell you that you probably ought to look for Slughorn elsewhere since he was never a fan of the Weasleys. Molly will then say that she needs to check on her children upstairs. After that, she will help you get back to Hogwarts.

Andre will tell you he figured out what happened. He’ll decide to share his theory with you. You need to earn five stars within eight hours to complete this task. All five stars are required to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Andre. Prioritizing them should save you some energy.

According to Andre, Lucius sabotaged you because he doesn’t want you to meet Slughorn. However, he will take it as a compliment since Malfoy likely thinks you’d get an invitation to join the Slug Club.

He will ask if you agree with him. This choice will affect some of the dialogue lines, but it won’t significantly change the story, so feel free to go with the option you prefer.

In any case, you will decide to talk to some of the Hogwarts professors and see if any of them can tell you something about Horace Slughorn.

You will decide to start with Professor Flitwick. After all, he is always eager to help the students whenever he can. In the meantime, Andre will contact Gwenog and update her on your progress.
