Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough section for  A Secret Message of Love Part 3 of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part, you learned that the enchanted Japanese maple tree hides a magical message about the true meaning of love. While your initial attempt to help it grow using Amortentia didn’t work—and even attracted a swarm of Chizpurfles—you discovered something far more important: real love, shared through heartfelt words and memories, is what truly nourishes the tree.

Thanks to Molly Weasley’s touching story about Arthur, the sapling began to grow. Realizing that love in all its forms might be the key, you decided to throw a celebration where everyone could come together and share words of love. Now, with the party preparations underway, it’s time to gather your friends, choose a date, and make this celebration of love truly magical.

In this task, you’ll meet with Chiara (if you’ve met her before; otherwise, you’ll meet Barnaby instead. This won’t impact the story—only some dialogue will be slightly different). 

Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they 

Once you arrive, you’ll greet Chiara and thank her for her help. If you’re dating Chiara, you’ll receive a few additional lines of dialogue related to your relationship. In any case, you’ll explain that you need to plant the Japanese maple and choose a spot where it will thrive best. This line will differ based on your previous choice.

You’ll suggest having a look around to find the perfect spot. These lines of dialogue will differ depending on which year you are currently in.

To plant the tree, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

You will successfully plant the tree, and shortly after, Chiara will ask you how you feel about a public confession of love.

There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

If you’re dating Chiara, you’ll receive a few additional lines of dialogue related to her question. In any case, you’ll say that it’s important to ensure there are private areas at the party so that guests feel comfortable sharing their feelings. 

If enough guests share words of love, your tree will grow and reveal its hidden message. You’ll need to prepare invitations, food, and decorations.

 You’ll decide to start with the food. After thanking Chiara for her help, you’ll decide to meet up with Jae. (However, if you haven’t met Jae yet, you’ll meet with Andre instead. The task itself won’t change—only the dialogue will be slightly different and won’t affect the story).

Go to the Great Hall to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. You’ll thank Jae for agreeing to help you. This line will differ slightly based on your previous choice.

Jae will tell you he has a few food options for you to consider. You’ll ask where he found them, and he’ll reply that he called in a few favours—no big deal—and he’ll appreciate that you noticed. If you’re dating Jae, you’ll receive a few extra lines of dialogue related to that. In any case, you’ll both agree to sample the food he brought to decide what to serve at the party.

To explore food options, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the cauldron and sandwiches. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

After that, you’ll need to decide which food you want to serve at the party. Choose the option you like best—it won’t affect the story, so go with your personal preference.

You’ll thank Jae for his help—if you’re dating him, you’ll get a few extra lines of dialogue related to that. In any case, it’s now time to move on to the invitations. You’ll decide to ask either Badeea or Merula for help, depending on which year you’re in. This won’t affect the story—only the dialogue will vary slightly.

Proceed to the Artefact Room when you are ready. When you arrive, you’ll greet Merula. This line will differ based on your previous choice. 

You’ll say that the invitations should explain your goal of growing the tree, so people feel encouraged to come and help.

This line will differ based on your previous choice.

To design the invitations, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Merula. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

You’ll successfully create unique invitations.

Merula will suggest adding something that highlights what makes Japanese maples special. You’ll respond that, during your research, you discovered that they change colours with the seasons, so you should charm the invitations to change colours as well. 

You’ll agree that the invitations should shift colours when opened. After a brief conversation, Merula will ask if you think your invitations will be enough to get people excited about the party. 

There are two different options to choose from. Both of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

If you are dating Merula, you’ll receive additional dialogue lines that reflect your closer relationship. 

Then you’ll decide it’s time to focus on decorations — and there’s no better person for the job than Andre Egwu.

Proceed to the Training Grounds when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. 

You’ll thank Andre for agreeing to help you out — and if you’re dating him, you’ll receive some extra lines of dialogue. In any case, you’ll add that decorations will be key to setting the mood for your party. 

You want your guests to feel relaxed, but also inspired enough to share their true feelings with one another. It’s not an easy task, but since you’re working together, it won’t be too much of a challenge. You’ll suggest jumping right into exploring options for how you’ll decorate the party.

To explore decor options, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Next, you’ll need to choose which decorations to use for the party. Pick the option that appeals to you the most — it won’t affect the story, so go with whatever you like best.

You’ll thank Andre for helping you out — and if you’re dating him, you’ll get a few extra lines of dialogue.

In any case, he’ll then ask you what you think is the most important part of a party: the food, the mood, or the company.

Andre will say that the enchanted Japanese maple will probably need water — just in case it gets thirsty. That will remind you that you also need to arrange drinks for the party. You’ll agree that you should definitely get a few barrels of Butterbeer.

This line will differ slightly depending on whether or not you’ve previously met Tonks’s mother and father.

Go to the Three Broomsticks to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.

When you arrive, you’ll tell Tonks that you’re almost ready for the party and just need to sort out the drinks. However, she’ll say that Andre already mentioned it to her and that she spoke with Madam Rosmerta — the Butterbeer is already taken care of and ready for the celebration.

Then she’ll add that, while you’re waiting, there’s someone she wants you to meet. At that moment, her dad will make a rather unusual entrance.

You’ll receive different lines of dialogue if you haven’t met Tonks’s father before.

Following that, you’ll explain more about the enchanted Japanese maple. After hearing the story, Tonks’s father will share that he and his wife also faced obstacles in their relationship, but that love ultimately triumphed. You’ll kindly ask him to share that story, since love is essential to this task and it’s what nourishes the tree.

To learn Ted’s story, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Tonks, Ted, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

Ted will say that it took a bit of doing to get Dromeda to agree to a first date. She had to slip away from her sisters. Eventually, she agreed to meet for a Butterbeer at this very pub. She took one sip and smiled. That’s when he knew it was all over for him. But it wasn’t all fun and smiles. Dromeda’s family didn’t approve of her being with a Muggle-born. 

They went as far as to disown her when they got married. They haven’t spoken to her since. They even burned her off their family tapestry. It took a lot of courage for Dromeda to do what she did. It’s not easy to go against your family.

Tonks will then ask you what would you do if you had to choose between your family or the one you love.

There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You’ll ask Ted if he would come to the party with Andromeda and express his romantic feelings for her in front of the tree, as that might help it grow. He’ll say he’ll speak to Andromeda about it.

You’ll thank Tonks and her father for their help, then decide it’s time to return to the Training Grounds to finish the final preparations.
