A Very Haywood Solstice Part 2

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for A Very Haywood Solstice Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Previously, Penny invited you to take part in a cherished Haywood family tradition during the Summer Solstice. After meeting her wise and warm-hearted grandmother, Winifred, you learned that this year’s tradition involves brewing a special potion — but first, you’ll need to uncover the hidden recipe by solving a series of magical clues.

With the first riddle received by owl, you and Penny faced an unexpected interruption from Merula and Ismelda before diving into the mystery. After some clever thinking, you realized the clue pointed straight to Honeydukes. Now, it’s time to head there in search of the next piece of the puzzle…

Proceed to the Honeydukes when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. 

When you arrive at Honeydukes, you and Penny will approach Mr. Flume. If you haven’t met him before, you’ll receive an additional few lines of friendly introduction. In any case, he’ll tell you that Winifred left a challenge for you and that he’s delighted to be part of the tradition.

He’ll then explain that you should look around his store for a restless box — if you find it, you’ll receive your next clue.

To look for a hidden item, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to sweets on the wall. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

You’ll spot a box of Chocolate Frogs, and when you open it, you’ll discover a list of potion ingredients hidden inside: Syrup of Hellebore, frozen Ashwinder eggs… The contents will startle Penny, as she doesn’t recognize any potion that uses those ingredients.

Mr. Flume will add that there’s another riddle waiting for you — one that will lead you to your next location and clue. The riddle reads: If teasing your taste buds wasn’t enough, making you giggle might shake it up.

Penny will then turn to you and ask what shop you think the riddle is referring to. The correct answer is: Zonko’s Joke Shop!

You’ll quickly decide to head to Zonko’s and uncover your next clue. Go to Zonko’s Joke Shop to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.

When you arrive, Bilton will also have a riddle waiting for you. It goes: I can be loud, I can be wild, from heartfelt joy I come about. Who am I? The correct answer is: “Laughter”.

Bilton will then pull out a box shaped like a mouth and explain that you’ll need to open it in order to receive your next clue. You’ll quickly realise that the riddle and the box are connected — your task is to make the entire shop laugh. Only then will the box open on its own.

To choose joke supplies, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to for boxes near Jae and Penny. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

With the help of Zonko’s prank items, you’ll manage to get the whole shop laughing — even the mouth-shaped box will begin to chuckle. As it opens, you’ll retrieve the clue hidden inside.

On the piece of paper, you’ll find the next part of the potion recipe: Stir three times clockwise, then four times counterclockwise.
Winifred has also left behind directions to your next location, written as a riddle: You come for Butterbeer and good times, but don’t misbehave, or I’ll kick you out.

The correct answer is: “The Three Broomsticks”.

Without wasting a moment, you and Penny will make your way to the Three Broomsticks, eager to uncover the next part of Winifred’s challenge.

Proceed to the Three Broomsticks when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. Madam Rosmerta will tell you that Winifred left something behind for you — a family treasure hidden somewhere inside the Three Broomsticks. Your task is to find it.

To find family treasure, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to the skull, Merula, and Penny. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

You’ll notice something unusual behind the barrels — a hidden cauldron with the Haywood family crest, an engraved letter H, on its surface. Penny will explain that the cauldron is a treasured family heirloom, used by the Haywoods for generations to brew their most important potions. She’ll point out that it must be a very powerful potion if Winifred chose to use such a special cauldron for it.

Penny will be visibly excited about finally having the chance to brew a potion in the Haywood Cauldron. She’ll then ask how you feel about it. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Inside the cauldron, you’ll find a message from Winifred congratulating you on successfully solving the riddles. She’ll invite you to meet her at the Festival Grounds for the next part of the challenge.

Go to the Festival Grounds to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.

When you arrive, Grandma Winifred will ask for your opinion — did you find the riddles challenging enough? There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Following that, Winifred will explain that she needs your help to find the three remaining ingredients she hasn’t been able to locate on her own. You’ll suggest that she tell you more about the ingredients so you know what to look for.

To identify missing ingredients, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass. 

Bonus progress actions are tied to Penny and Winifred. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

You’ll learn that the missing ingredients are ginger roots, frozen Ashwinder eggs, and pearl dust. Professor Sprout and Hagrid can likely help you find the ginger roots and the frozen Ashwinder eggs. As for the pearl dust, Snape has some — but whether he’s willing to give it to you remains to be seen.

You’ll immediately decide to return to Hogwarts to gather the remaining ingredients.

This will mark the end of Part 2 of A Very Haywood Solstice Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems and 1 Chocolate Frog. 

With riddles solved and the treasured Haywood cauldron found, your journey leads you back to Hogwarts to collect the final rare ingredients. The challenge grows more exciting as you prepare to brew a potion worthy of the Haywood legacy.
