Bargaining With Banshees Part 3

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough section for Bargaining With Banshees, Part 3 of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery! In the previous part, you, Penny, and Merula faced the terrifying banshee threatening Hogwarts. With quick thinking, clever potion-making, and magical earplugs, you successfully banished the fearsome spirit, protecting the castle and its students. Yet, as the shadows of more banshees loomed on the horizon, it became clear that your work was far from over.

You’ll need to wait three hours before you can continue. 

Head to the Great Hall once the waiting time is over. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.  

When you arrive, Professor Dumbledore will be preparing for an important announcement. He will inform the students that dark spirits known as banshees are gathering around Hogwarts. Their motives remain unknown, but due to the danger, students will not be allowed to leave the castle. 

The faculty has contacted the Ministry’s Spirit Division for assistance, and representatives are expected to arrive soon. Dumbledore will advise everyone to stick together and draw strength from their friends. Following this, you will check in with your friends to see how you can all help each other during this perilous time.

To check on friends, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Andre and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

Ben will then ask you whether you plan to continue helping on your own or if you will leave the matter to the Spirit Division. There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

In any case, you’ll decide that in this situation it’s important to help your friends. You’ll choose to go and speak with Penny first.

Go to the Corridor to continue the story. When you catch up with Penny, you will ask her why she left the Great Hall. She will admit that she feels responsible for everything and will then begin to explain the situation to you.

Penny will explain that she bought a comb on a family trip to Ireland, and she suspects it may be connected to the banshee. The comb seemed nice, but the seller was unusually eager to get rid of it, which she didn’t think much of at the time. 

It was black and shiny, like volcanic glass. You will immediately realize that it matches the comb Andre described in the old folk tale he found. According to the story, the comb was the banshee’s greatest treasure, but the maiden died before she could return it. 

Penny will then admit that she took the comb and tossed it into the Black Lake—the same night you banished the banshee. She will feel responsible for what happened, and she will ask you what you think about the situation.

There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

In any case, you will decide that the best course of action now is to inform the wizards from the Spirit Division about what you have discovered, so that this situation can be resolved as quickly as possible.

Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.

You will see that the students have gathered around the Spirit Division representatives, and you will make your way over to them, explaining that you have information that could help resolve the situation. They will gladly accept your input.

To discuss a plan, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Hobb, Penny, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

After you tell them the story, they will respond that the only way to prove your theory is to retrieve the comb and observe how the banshees react. Penny will then, after a brief moment, ask how you plan to go back down to the bottom of the Black Lake with banshees about.

There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Shortly after, you will set out together with the Spirit Division toward the Black Lake.

Go to the Black Lake Underwater to continue the story. As you descend into the water, merpeople appear, clearly not in the best of moods. You will calmly communicate with them while Penny and Cobb search around for the comb, making sure to respect their habitat.

To search for Comb, you need to earn five stars within eight hour. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Cobb and Merpeople. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

Unfortunately, you will not find the black comb anywhere in sight. However, the merpeople will mention that they have found it once and later tossed it away. It seems they threw it somewhere into the Forbidden Forest, wanting it as far away as possible. Cobb will then ask how you feel about your progress so far.

There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

You will then decide to head into the Forbidden Forest, hoping to find the black comb and finally bring this troubling situation to an end.
