Career Days at Hogwarts Part 2
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for Career Days at Hogwarts Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part, the Headmaster announced the start of Career Days at Hogwarts. He explained that guests have arrived at Hogwarts, each a specialist in their field, from Aurors, Healers, and Magizoologists, and beyond. They are here to help you choose the careers you might pursue in the future. He advised you to think about your future career and consider not only your strengths but also your passions, as loving what you do makes it feel less like work.
Then, you headed to the Astronomy Tower at midnight, where the first event took place. Merula and you were unsure of where to start and which career might be right for you, but Professor Trelawney wanted to help. She asked you to meet her in the Clocktower Courtyard before dawn to look into your future together. There, all your friends saw something related to their future careers in the crystal ball. However, Merula and you received very unclear signs. You only saw a work desk with some papers, while she saw nothing but a blur, which greatly upset her.
As it was late at night, you went to bed, and now it’s time to see who the next guest in Professor McGonagall’s class is and which career will be represented next. Stay tuned to find out.

Since the adventure is available for students of Year 3 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.)
Proceed to the Transfiguration Classroom when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you’ll greet Tonks, but your conversation will be interrupted by Mad-Eye Moody, who will start introducing himself.

He will explain that he is here to tell you what it’s like to be an Auror, adding that it’s a dangerous business and suggesting that you pay close attention.
These lines will differ based on whether you know Mad-Eye Moody.

You’ll remark that if Mad-Eye were a professor, he probably wouldn’t be teaching Transfiguration. Meanwhile, Tonks will reveal that she saw Mad-Eye in her vision.

Following that, Mad-Eye Moody will begin to explain what it’s like to be an Auror. To survive Mad-Eye’s lecture, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Tonks, Professor McGonagall, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

Mad-Eye will say that being an Auror is dangerous work and requires a great deal of courage and expertise, adding that many try but most will fail, and some will even die. He will then thank you for your time.
Following that, you will comment that it was rather intense and that being an Auror sure sounds dangerous. However, Tonks will be very determined, stating that it’s an important job and expressing her admiration for it.

These lines will differ based on your previous choice.

You’ll tell her that she’s very brave, and she will respond that she won’t let a little danger stop her from pursuing her dream of becoming an Auror. Shortly after, she will ask if you would choose a dangerous career to pursue your dream. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Tonks will then say that after hearing Mad-Eye’s lecture, she’ll need more than just courage to become an Auror, adding that to qualify for Auror training, she’ll need to score high marks in the N.E.W.T.s. She will then ask you how many N.E.W.T.s Mad-Eye said are required to qualify for Auror training again. The correct answer is “Five”.

Tonks will ask you what you saw in the crystal ball, and she’ll want to know if you might also become an Auror.

You’ll tell her it’s a long story and that you’ll explain later, as you need to meet Penny at the next event. Go to the Hospital Wing to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. Penny will comment that you arrived right on time.

She’ll say that it is and express her eagerness to learn as much as she can about what it’s like to be a Healer because she saw a Healer in her vision. She’ll mention seeing herself in the Hospital Ward surrounded by Healers, holding a healing potion in her hand, which you find a bit strange.

She’ll say that perhaps destiny simply has a different plan for her and mention that this career program is all about trying new things. You’ll suggest that maybe if she tries what it’s like to be a Healer, she might like it, and that could lead her to become a Healer herself.

Penny will be confused by your statement, but your conversation will be interrupted by Miriam Strout, who will start introducing herself.

Miriam will say that she has received special permission to help out here in the Hogwarts Hospital Wing and that there’s no better way to learn than hands-on experience. She’ll suggest starting immediately with patient care. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Miriam Strout, Talbott, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

She’ll then say that she’s very proud of your work today and hopes that this experience will help you choose your career. This line will differ based on which year you attend.

Penny will mention that Madam Strout’s works in the Janus Thickey Ward and that it requires a lot of empathy and patience. She will ask you if you remember what sorts of maladies they care for in the Janus Thickey Ward. The correct answer is “Severe spell damage”.

You will ask Penny how she enjoys helping patients, and she will say that she finds it fulfilling and loves assisting people. She will also mention how much she appreciates the empathy Healers have. After that, she will ask you what you value most about the Healers. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Penny will say that becoming a Healer wouldn’t be so bad, but she believes her true passion still lies with potions, adding that this doesn’t fully explain her vision. You’ll mention that Merula would probably be happy to hear that your visions may not be set in stone.

Penny will ask you about the desk you mentioned earlier, but you’ll say you’ll explain in detail later because it’s time for another event now.
Proceed to the Training Grounds when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. You’ll approach Merula and tell her that you missed her at the Auror and Healer events. You’ll ask her if she feels like neither of those jobs is for her.

You’ll try to reassure her that neither your nor Penny’s visions know if they’re true and that these visions are very strange. However, she’ll say that something about her vision just felt real, even though she can’t explain it. Following that, you’ll ask her why she came to the event related to magical creatures.

This line will differ based on your previous choice.

She will say that she chose knowledge and heard that working with magical creatures requires a lot of it. Shortly after, Amos Diggory will address you. This line will differ based on whether you have met Mr. Diggory.

Mr. Diggory will then begin to explain that he works at the Ministry’s Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, and he is here to tell you about the exciting world of magical creature careers.

To consider creature careers, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

In the first phase, the bonus progress actions are tied to Amos Diggory.

In the second phase, the bonus progress actions are tied to Merula.

In the third phase, the bonus progress actions are tied to Liz and Amos Diggory.

Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. Mr. Diggory will say that everyone knows about Magizoologists because they travel the world studying magical creatures in the wild. He will also explain that there are many other career paths for creatures to consider and that the Ministry of Magic has a whole department dedicated to magical creatures. He will mention that even some creatures have jobs themselves.

He will say that working with creatures requires extensive knowledge and understanding of their nature. Then he will ask you a question about Matagots. The correct answer is “French Ministry of Magic”.

Following that, you will thank Mr. Diggory for his help and ask Merula what she thinks about a career with magical creatures. However, she will ask you if you can imagine her working with magical creatures for a living. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

In any case, Merula will still say that she doesn’t see herself in this job and that she should look further. You’ll suggest that you both head to another event about jobs in the Ministry of Magic right away.
Go to the Library to attend the next event. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, Madam Bones will thank you for coming and introduce herself.

This line will differ based on the year you attend.

Mrs. Bones will then say that law enforcement is only one part of the Ministry of Magic’s many departments, adding that not every Ministry role is as exciting or dangerous as being an Auror, but they all serve an important purpose. He’ll also say don’t be wrong to assume that just because your desk job isn’t important.

To study Ministry Careers, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Madam Bones, Madam Pince, Mr. Weasley, and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

Madam Bones will say that the Ministry of Magic keeps your world secret from Muggles and safe from the forces of darkness. She will add that you should think carefully about your future career because jobs at the Ministry really do make a difference, even if they seem like simple desk jobs.
Then she will say that now that the lecture is over, it would be best to divide into smaller groups. Afterward, she will introduce you to Arthur Weasley. This line will differ based on whether you know Arthur Weasley.

He will tell you that life in the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office is a bit slower-paced compared to some of the other Ministry Departments, but he will say that he loves his job and enjoys it very much.
You will ask him about the types of desks they use, which will surprise him, but he will ask you to first answer his question before he answers yours. Following that, he will ask you how many departments there are in the Ministry of Magic in total. The correct answer is “Seven”.

Then he will ask you why you asked about desks, and you will tell him that when you looked into your future in a crystal ball, you only saw one desk. He will understand and ask you to describe the desk you saw.

However, Arthur will tell you that unfortunately, based on that, he can’t tell you whether it might allude to a job at the Ministry. These lines will differ based on your previous choice.

Merula will be a bit saddened because this job also doesn’t suit her, due to the paperwork involved, and she hates paperwork. She will wonder why her vision is just a big blur.
Arthur will say that it might be because the future moves very quickly, and he will inform you that the next career event is about to start at the Quidditch pitch.

Proceed to the Quidditch Pitch when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, Andre will greet you and ask about the visions you saw in the crystal ball.

Andre will say that it could mean many things and that it’s an unclear glimpse into your future career. However, Merula will say that it’s nothing compared to her vision, where everything was just a big blur.
Andre will still say that if you ask him, you shouldn’t worry about such silly visions. He will ask you what the point of worrying about a future that hasn’t even happened yet is. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Shortly after, Andre will say that Gwenog Jones, one of the best Quidditch players, is here at Hogwarts and that Madam Hooch has invited her to demonstrate her skills as a professional Quidditch player. He will mention that Gwenog might be able to give you some advice about the future, as long as you can keep up with her.

To keep up with Gwenog, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Gwenog. Prioritize these actions to save some energy.

This line will differ based on whether you have played Quidditch before.

After a brief conversation with Gwenog, she will advise you not to worry so much about the future. She’ll say that if she had spent all her time worrying about the future, she would never have gotten to where she is today. Then she will tell you to remember that talent and passion are important, but to succeed in something, you have to work really hard.

She will tell you that, in fact, there’s another career program event at the Three Broomsticks starting soon, which will visibly interest Merula.

Gwenog will say that at the event there will be all sorts of people, including shop owners, tradespeople, and innkeepers like Madam Rosmerta.
