Chapter 23 – Revealing Information

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Twenty-Three of Beyond Hogwarts: Volume Two of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous chapter, your long-awaited journey to Japan finally began to unravel its mysteries.

After meeting with Olivia at the Ministry, you had to reassure her about Jacob’s situation, all while enduring a tense confrontation with Lucius Malfoy, who smugly revealed that Dumbledore was no longer Headmaster and that Hagrid was accused of opening the Chamber of Secrets. Despite his provocation, you stood firm in your loyalty to those you trust.

Meanwhile, Chiara confided her deepest fears to you, revealing her worries about being discovered as a werewolf under Umbridge’s oppressive legislation. Together with Badeea, you helped her find comfort, while also reflecting on Jacob’s growing obsession with the search for your father.

Soon after, an urgent owl from Jacob pulled you back to Japan, where he revealed a shocking connection between your father and Dai Ryusaki. With his guidance, you uncovered Ryusaki’s hidden manor deep in the mountains, its gampi-filled gardens linking directly to the mysterious washi paper envelope tied to your family’s past.

Just as you began to search the manor for clues, your presence was discovered, forcing you to decide whether to confront or cautiously greet the mysterious figure guarding the estate.

What secrets lie within Ryusaki’s manor? And will they finally bring you closer to the truth about your father?

Proceed to the Arcade when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. You will thank Kenji for agreeing to meet with you, and you’ll receive a different dialogue line depending on your previous choice.

Following that, he will ask you why you entered his property. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Shortly after, you will need to convince him that you had no bad intentions. To start the friend activity with Kenji, where you must persuade him of your good intentions, you will need around 500 coins. Don’t worry—the recommended attributes will match yours. 

Here are the questions along with the correct answers:

Kenji will believe that you had no bad intentions, and he will tell you that he needs to check on something before continuing the conversation. Once he leaves, Jacob will say that the two of you now know where Kenji lives, and if he doesn’t follow up, you can always just drop in.

There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

After that, you will decide to go and learn more about Professor Dumbledore and Hagrid, who has been arrested, while Jacob will go to meet with Olivia.

Go to Barnaby’s Parlour to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive at Barnaby’s place, you will find him and your friends waiting for you, ready to share the latest news about what’s been happening at Hogwarts.

To catch up with friends, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass. 

Bonus progress actions are tied to Barnaby. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

Lucius Malfoy has been pushing for Professor Dumbledore’s removal as Headmaster, and he also demanded that Hagrid be arrested for allegedly opening the Chamber of Secrets. Following this, Tulip will turn to you and ask how you feel about this troubling news.

There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Shortly after, you will run into Merula, who will tell you that she has big news for all of you. However, you won’t be ready to listen, as you are deeply shaken by the recent events and want to try to do something about them. You’ll then decide to go to Flump and ask if he might be able to help.

You’ll need to wait three hours before you can continue. Since this chapter is not time-limited, it is recommended to wait until this timer runs out.

Head to the ROCC Division once the waiting time is over. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, Flump will ask you how your trip to Japan went.

There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Following that, you will begin explaining to Flump why you need his help. To convince, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

Unfortunately, Flump will tell you that he can’t do anything about Hagrid’s imprisonment. There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

In any case, Flump will tell you that you have to understand that sometimes you simply can’t help someone. He’ll reassure you not to worry too much about Dumbledore, as he probably has a plan. He’ll then suggest that it might be better to talk to someone who could give you useful life advice.

Go to the Honeydukes to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. You’ll thank Orion for taking the time to meet with you, and he’ll tell you to relax, open your mind, and share what’s troubling you.

To open your mind, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Orion and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

Orion will then ask you what you would do if you were in the situation of Dumbledore and Hagrid. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Orion will say that things may be rough right now, but it won’t stay that way forever, and that you should try to calm down a little. You’ll thank him, and then decide to meet with Merula to find out what news she has.

You’ll need to wait four hours before you can continue. Since this chapter is not time-limited, it is recommended to wait until this timer runs out.

Head to Alleyway once the waiting time is over.  When you arrive, you’ll immediately ask Merula to tell you what news she has. She’ll notice that you’re anxious about it and will say that she’ll slowly explain how she came across the information.

To learn Merula’s process, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Merula. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

She discovered that Pepper is your flatmate and will ask why you hadn’t told her about it. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

If you are dating Merula, you will receive additional dialogue lines.

She will also reveal that it turns out Pepper Copperbottom isn’t even her real name—her actual name is Eris Foxglove.

Proceed to Three Broomstick to start the mandatory chapter task. Charlie will need your help. He wants to assist his brother Ron, who is traumatized after nearly being attacked by a giant Acromantula.

You’ll need to complete several objectives to finish this mandatory chapter task. Feel free to do them in any order you prefer.

While doing these objectives, it is recommended to select the duration that matches their star requirements.

Prioritize actions with bonus progress whenever they are available.

Try your best to complete all of the mini-tasks to earn some additional attribute points.

Once you complete all of the tasks, hit the Collect button and return to Three Broomsticks.

After you complete all the objectives, you can claim the reward in the Wizarding World section of the Wizarding Life tab.

Choose the optional tasks you like. You can do Examine Muggle Trash at Alleyway, where you can earn Hippogriff Experience Points, Ask for Advice at Dumbledore’s Office, where you can earn Hippogriff  Experience Points, and Advanced Potions at Research Lab, where you can earn Sphinx Experience Points and Healer Experience Points.

Also, prioritize actions with bonus progress whenever they are available.

Try your best to complete all of the mini-tasks to earn some additional attribute points.

This will conclude Chapter 23 of Beyond Hogwarts: Volume 2. You will receive 400 Coins and 2500 Experience Points.
