Chapter 34 – The Scroll and The Sarcophagus
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Thirty-Four of Year Seven of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you met your friends at the Three Broomsticks to celebrate the Wizengamot verdict. You then went to talk to Professor Dumbledore about the trial, and you had the chance to tell him that ‘R’ is after Dai Ryusaki’s Dark Scroll.
After that, you met with Mad-Eye at the Ministry and learned that you, Tonks, and Merula will be assisting him on his next Auror assignment. Moody also told you that Shiratori asked to talk to you before getting sent to Azkaban.
After meeting him, he said that he doesn’t have any loyalty left for ‘R’ and is willing to provide information if his sentence gets lightened. Before you left the Ministry, Mad-Eye told you to make sure that the Dark Scroll stays safely hidden.

Walkthrough
Now, you can kick things off by doing the lessons part of the chapter first. Proceed to the Transfiguration classroom when you are ready. To unlock the King to Rook lesson, you will need to earn a total of nine stars from Transfiguration classes. Feel free to pick the class duration that suits you, and hit Start when you are ready to begin.

While doing these classes, prioritize the bonus progress actions to save as much energy as possible.

As for the mini-tasks, try completing all of them successfully to earn some extra Knowledge points.

Head back to the classroom once you earn enough stars to unlock the lesson. Learning the King to Rook spell requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

During the lesson, Professor McGonagall will ask you a question about rooks.

Upon earning the fifth star, you’ll be tasked with casting the spell. Trace the wand movement on the screen to do so.

Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You can get an additional reward in the Transfiguration section of your Hogwarts Record.

Proceed to the Care of Magical Creatures when you are ready for the second lesson of the chapter. To unlock the Demiguise lesson, you need to earn nine stars from the Care of Magical Creatures classes. Select the class duration suitable to your liking and hit Start to begin.

As always, focus on the bonus progress actions to save energy.

Try your best to do all of the mini-tasks to earn some additional Courage points.

Head back to the Care of Magical Creatures once you acquire enough stars to unlock the lesson. To complete the Demiguise lesson, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, avoid starting this task if your energy bar is empty.

Follow the same steps you took during the classes earlier and you’ll be done before you know it.

When you finish the lesson, hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You can claim an additional reward in the Care of Magical Creatures section of your Hogwarts Record.

Now that you’re done with the lessons, you can continue the story. Proceed to the Great Hall when you are ready to meet with Corey. Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of your friends. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say. Corey will ask you about your talk with Professor Dumbledore.

You’ll quickly sum up the most important parts of it. If you told the Headmaster that ‘R’ is after the Dark Scroll, you’ll get an additional line of dialogue.

You will also say that Dumbledore knows you didn’t tell him everything.

Corey will be afraid things might go south if anyone finds out that ‘R’ wants you to lead them. You’ll need to be careful not to reveal that to anyone. You’ll tell Corey that you are soon to assist Mad-Eye on an Auror assignment and that you had the chance to speak with Shiratori again, mentioning the deal he wanted to make. Corey will be surprised to hear that.

You’ll admit that you don’t really believe Shiratori. However, he did seem genuinely afraid of the Dementors, and he’s definitely not the only one who’s afraid of those horrifying creatures.

In any case, Mad-Eye will inform you of the next course of action as soon as he gets answers from his superiors. You’ll ask your friend if the Dark Scroll is still hidden in a safe place, and as it seems, there’s nothing for you to worry about. Suddenly, Victor will approach you, looking completely terrified of something, and you’ll ask him to tell you what happened.

Apparently, someone has stolen his coffin.

Corey will be shocked to hear that.

You’ll offer to help Victor find his coffin, and Corey will mention that the Dark Scroll was hidden inside it. This complicates the situation, as the Dark Scroll could be dangerous if it falls into the wrong hands.
Victor will be curious to know what kind of scroll was hidden in his coffin. There are three options to reply with. This is an important choice. If you like Victor, it is highly recommended that you pick the third option and tell him the truth. However, if you do that, he will learn about Dai Ryusaki’s Dark Scroll. If you choose any of the other two options, you will keep the information about the scroll a secret, but Victor will later realize that you lied to him.

You’ll then ask Victor to tell you everything related to the disappearance of his coffin. Talking about Victor’s coffin requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Corey, Victor, and Tulip. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.

Victor will say that poking around someone else’s coffin is quite rude.

Corey will regret hiding the Dark Scroll there.

In any case, Victor won’t be too happy about what happened. You’ll apologize to him, and Corey will quickly assume the worst.

However, jumping to conclusions is almost never a good thing, so you’ll suggest finding the coffin as soon as possible. Moments later, Andre will approach you and say he saw Peeves snooping around Victor’s coffin earlier. It looks like you’ll need to have a chat with the Poltergeist.
Proceed to the East Towers Corridor when you are ready to continue. Hopefully, Peeves will be able to tell you what happened to the coffin. However, getting his attention won’t be an easy task.

Luckily, Victor might be able to do something about that.

Moments later, the Poltergeist will appear.

As it seems, the two of them know each other, and Peeves won’t seem happy that Victor doesn’t have time to hang out with him. He’ll also say that you aren’t as fun as you used to be.

You’ll assure him that you can still pull up a prank if needed, but Peeves will find that hard to believe. He’ll ask you to name one thing you’ve done lately that could impress him. There are three options to choose from. Each of these will be good enough to impress Peeves, so feel free to pick the one you prefer.

The Poltergeist will grin from ear to ear and admit he misjudged you, but when asked about the missing coffin, he won’t provide a direct answer, and Victor will start getting impatient.

Apparently, Peeves does know what happened to the coffin, but you’ll have to question him to learn the details. To question Peeves, you will need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why it’s not recommended to start this task if your energy bar is empty.

There are bonus progress actions tied to your character and Victor. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.

You’ll learn that Peeves isn’t too happy about Victor being busy all the time, and your friend will apologize to him. It appears the Poltergeist wanted Victor to spend some time with him, like before.

Curious to know who helped him move the coffin, you’ll find out that the Weasley twins were the ones who assisted him. However, they never brought the coffin to Peeves’ room. To locate it, you’ll decide to find the twins and inquire about the coffin’s whereabouts, with Victor suggesting that you split up.
You’ll need to wait three hours before you can continue. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Head to the courtyard once the waiting time is over. When you arrive, you’ll be able to interact with some of the students and see what they have to say. You’ll spot Fred at the fountain, talking to some of the second-year students. They will seem quite entertained by his story.

Approaching Fred, you’ll express your desire to discuss Victor’s coffin. Observing the assumption of other students that he might be in trouble, you’ll calmly clarify that you only want a private conversation with Fred. Revealing your knowledge that he and George took Victor’s coffin, Fred will smile and claim that they were just having a bit of fun.
He will tell you they wanted to prank Victor because of his ego. He’ll ask if you agree with him. There are three options to reply with. If you like Victor, it is recommended to pick the first option. Otherwise, feel free to go with the one you prefer.

You will inform Fred that finding the coffin is imperative as soon as possible. It appears that the twins will be planning to return the coffin to Victor, but not before they have completed their prank. Learning about their plan requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There are two bonus progress actions tied to your character. Prioritize them to save some energy.

You’ll learn that returning the coffin to Victor is part of the prank. Sadly, Fred won’t tell you what will happen once Victor opens the coffin.
The following lines will differ based on your previous choice.

Fred will ask you to lure Victor down to the kitchens, apparently, that’s where the coffin is located. Moments later, he will leave the courtyard, and you’ll decide to find Victor and Corey to inform them about the coffin’s location.
Proceed to the Kitchens when you are ready to continue. Once you arrive, you’ll notice that some of the characters have something to say. Tap on their speech bubbles if you want to interact with them. As soon as he sees it, Victor will rush towards his coffin.

He’ll be surprised to find it in the kitchens, as it seems he’s quite attached to his coffin.

You won’t notice anything unusual about it, and Victor will decide to check if his belongings are safe. The following line will differ based on the choice you made while talking to him in the Great Hall.

You can choose whether or not you want to warn him about the prank. If you like Victor, it is recommended to pick the first option and warn him.

Regardless of your choice, Victor will decide to open the coffin. As soon as he does, he’ll be in for a glittery surprise.

The Weasley twins will laugh after seeing Victor getting covered in glitter.

Your previous choice will take effect here.

The prank will make Victor look quite sparkly, and it seems the Weasley twins won’t be the only ones who’ll find the prank funny.

At least, he found his coffin, and he’ll decide to see if all of his belongings are in there. Searching for the coffin requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are bonus progress actions tied to your character and Corey. Prioritize them if you want to save some energy.

Luckily, the Dark Scroll will still be inside the coffin.

The following line will differ, based on the choice you made while talking to Victor in the Great Hall.

You’ll quickly take the scroll.

Victor will thank you for helping him get his coffin back. He’ll ask if you knew about the prank. If you like Victor, it is highly recommended to pick the first option and say that you knew about it.

He’ll say that he’s changed a lot since he became a vampire, admitting that he shouldn’t have lost sight of the person he was before.

You will offer to help him return the coffin to its proper place, and he’ll appreciate your help. Additionally, he will be curious if Beatrice will like his sparkles.

Thankfully, the Dark Scroll is back in your possession; however, you’ll still need to figure out where to hide it. Perhaps Jacob might be able to help with that.
You’ll need to wait four hours before you can continue. Since you will probably be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait until the timer runs out. That way, your energy will fully recharge in the meantime.

Proceed to the lakeshore once the waiting time is over. You’ll tell Corey that the lakeshore was your meeting place with Jacob before.

It will remind your friend of one of the Conebush and Persimmons books. Still, Corey will feel bad about what happened earlier.

You’ll point out that no one could’ve expected the coffin to be stolen, and hopefully, you’ll be able to find a better hiding place. You’ll take out your wand and cast the Red Sparks.

Moments later, Jacob will apparate next to you. He’ll ask if the Dark Scroll is safely hidden away.

You’ll tell him that the scroll is safe, but you need to find a new hiding place for it. Jacob will wonder if there is a place safer than Hogwarts.
He’ll ask if you have any ideas. There are three options to choose from. Unfortunately, neither the Ministry of Magic nor the Gringotts Bank is safe enough, so it is recommended to give the scroll to Jacob (regardless of the choice you pick, you’ll eventually end up giving the scroll to your brother).

In the end, Jacob will decide to keep the scroll, at least until you can find a better hiding place for it. Before he goes, he’ll suggest examining the scroll, and you’ll agree with your brother. Hopefully, you will be able to learn more after taking a good look at the scroll.
To examine the Dark Scroll, you will need to earn five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, you should avoid starting this task if you are out of energy.

There are bonus progress actions tied to your character and Corey. Focus on those if you want to save energy.

The three of you will sum up everything you know about Dai Ryusaki’s Dark Scroll.

Apparently, all the ingredients listed in the scroll are in the form of a riddle, and the one you already know is the claw of a Chinese Fireball. Jacob will assume that ‘R’ wants to brew the mind-enhancing potion for themselves. Also, it is entirely possible they know some of the ingredients already. Hopefully, you will be able to identify all of the ingredients and find them before ‘R’ does.
However, solving the riddles won’t be an easy task. On top of that, each of the ingredients will more than likely be extremely rare. Still, Corey will be confident that the Circle of Khanna has what it takes to find all of the ingredients.

In any case, it is extremely important to keep the Dark Scroll safely hidden from ‘R’. Moments later, Tonks will arrive and inform you that Mad-Eye wants to see you. As it seems, the Auror assignment he mentioned earlier will start soon.

This will conclude Chapter 34 of Year 7. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 350 Coins and 2000 Experience Points.
What will happen during the Auror assignment? Does it have anything to do with ‘R’? Find out in the next chapter of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!
Thank you for reading.
