Chapter 43 – Father Knows Best
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Chapter Forty-Three of Year Seven of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous chapter, you did some investigating to find out if Olivia Green is somehow connected to ‘R’. With the help of your friends, you snuck into her office and found a chest full of strange vials. You learned that those vials contain memories, but in order to access them, you will need a Pensieve.
Later on, during the Circle of Khanna meeting, Merula showed up and told everyone that your father is the leader of ‘R’. Needless to say, your friends were shocked to learn that, and most of them left the place without saying a word. It is up to you to talk to them and convince them that you are still on their side.

You’ll make it clear that the Circle is very important to you.

Many of your friends will have questions for you.

As always, prioritize the bonus progress actions to save energy.

You’ll be honest with your friends and tell them your father wants you to join ‘R’. Following that, Andre will ask if you’ve changed your mind about bringing ‘R’ down for good. There are two options to reply with. If you are still determined to take them down, it is recommended to pick the second option. However, if you want to find the whole truth, you should go with the first option.

Now that you have access to ‘R”s leader, you might be able to find out more about them, but Tulip will advise you to be careful, adding that the Circle of Khanna is going to support you. Consequently, you will decide to visit the Headmaster and inform him about everything.
You’ll need to wait three hours before you can continue. It is recommended to wait until this timer runs out. That way, your energy will recharge in the meantime.

Proceed to the Headmaster’s office once the waiting time is over. You’ll be surprised to find your father talking to Professor Dumbledore. Apparently, he wants to take you on a day trip outside of Hogwarts.

You have three options to react to this. If you care about Peregrine, it is recommended to pick the first option.

You’ll learn that your father was quite mischievous during his school days. According to Professor Dumbledore, Peregrine was very skilled in Transfigurations.

He will offer to tell you some stories about your father, and you’ll be curious to learn about his school days. Learning about Peregrine’s school days is your next task. You need to earn five stars within one hour to complete it. One star is needed to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to the Headmaster. Focus on those actions to save energy.

You’ll learn some interesting things about your father.

He will tell you he’d like to take you on a trip to Hogsmeade, and before leaving, he’ll thank Professor Dumbledore for taking the time to see him. Shortly after, you and your father will leave the Headmaster’s office.
Head to the Three Broomsticks when you are ready to continue. Once you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of the characters. Madam Rosmerta will approach you and your father. He will politely ask her for her name.

You’ll feel slightly uncomfortable, and Rosmerta will realize that Peregrine is your father.

Once again, he’ll use his charm.

After a bit of small talk, your father will ask you about the career you are planning to pursue after graduation, finding it odd that he wants to talk about that. He will smile and say that he wants to talk about your future, and you will tell him about the assignments you completed.

Peregrine will be impressed by everything you’ve achieved. He’ll say that you remind him of your mother. You can choose to accept this compliment or reject it.

Peregrine will then ask if you had any thoughts about his offer to join ‘R’, and you’ll say that you’ve been pretty busy lately, wondering what he is trying to accomplish. Your father will be happy to explain everything.
Learning about ‘R’’s goal is your next task. You need to earn five stars within eight hours to complete it. All five stars are required to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Peregrine. Prioritizing those should save you some energy.

Your father will tell you that ‘R’ wants to clean up the corruption that’s been infesting the Ministry of Magic, but you’ll tell him you didn’t see any evidence of corruption while you were there, to which Peregrine will respond that one needs to dig a little deeper to discover corruption.

After giving it some thought, you’ll remember the Veritaserum incident.

Your father will be furious to hear that. Suddenly, he will snap at Madam Rosmerta.

She’ll get so shocked that she’ll drop the butterbeer glasses.

The choice you made in Dumbledore’s office will take effect here.

Peregrine will apologize for his reaction. He’ll ask if you understand why ‘R’’s mission is so important. There are three options to reply with. Given that he didn’t provide any evidence of the corruption, it is recommended to pick the third option.

Moments later, you and your father will leave the Three Broomsticks.
Head to Hogsmeade Station when you are ready to continue. When you arrive, Peregrine will say that he loves train stations. You have two options to reply with. This choice won’t significantly impact the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

Your father will say that the two of you used to be close once.

He even had you hunting treasure when you were little.

Peregrine will apologize for losing his temper at the Three Broomsticks. He’ll say that he would never do anything to hurt you. There are three options to reply with. If you believe him, it is recommended to pick the first option.

You will admit that he isn’t the same person you remember, and he will apologize for being away for so long, adding that deep down, he’s still the same person. Head to the courtyard once the waiting time is over. You’ll wonder if the things your father said about the Ministry are true.

Unfortunately, without any proof, you won’t be able to know for sure. You’ll also recall the moment he snapped.

Shortly after, Professor Green will arrive.

She’ll kindly ask you to call her Olivia, saying she noticed you have a lot on your mind, and you’ll learn that she worked for the Department of Mysteries.

You will say that Jacob told you about her. She’ll wonder if he mentioned her sparkling personality. There are three options to reply with. This choice won’t significantly impact the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

You will decide to test her memory by asking her about Jacob’s student days. You need to earn five stars within eight hours to complete this task. All five stars are required to pass.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Olivia and your character. Prioritizing those actions should save you a bit of energy.

Olivia will say that she didn’t know Patricia Rakepick that well.

You’ll also ask her about Duncan, and she’ll wonder why you are curious about him. There are two options to reply with. It is HIGHLY recommended to pick the second option here. If you pick the first one, Olivia will get upset.

According to Olivia, Duncan’s death was caused by a Draught of Living Death.

You’ll ask if she is sure about that, and she’ll say she is absolutely certain that was the case before leaving the courtyard moments later.

You will be quite sure Duncan’s death was caused by an Erumpent potion.

Still, you won’t be certain if Olivia was telling the truth. In any case, there is a high chance something’s wrong with her memories, and you’ll be determined to find the truth.

This will mark the end of Chapter 43 of Year 7. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 350 Coins and 2000 Experience Points.
