Dumbledore’s Christmas Wish Part 2

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for Dumbledore’s Christmas Wish Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. In the previous part, you learned about your friends’ holiday plans and witnessed something peculiar – Dumbledore’s phoenix, Fawkes, leaving its nest and venturing outside, which is quite unusual.

Additionally, you discovered a fascinating aspect: Professor Dumbledore’s tradition of secretly assisting everyone during Christmas and fulfilling wishes. After collectively aiding Hagrid, he asked if you would be willing to assist him in granting Christmas wishes, a proposition you gladly accepted. He then instructed you to mingle among the students to identify their holiday wishes, marking the beginning of the journey to create holiday miracles.

(Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a graduate student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you depending on your current progress with the main story, and some dialogues may differ.)

Proceed to the Clocktower Courtyard when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you will see Penny, and you will approach her, asking her how she is enjoying her holiday.

She’ll add that she still misses home, and it’s hard for her not to think about being with her family for the holiday. This will remind you to ask her to help you find out if any students have special wishes for the holiday because you will tell her that you might be in a position to fulfill those wishes and make the holiday extra special. 

She will say that it’s a wonderful idea and add that it’s so considerate of you to want to help others during the holiday. Then, she’ll ask how you came up with such a thoughtful idea. There are two options to choose from. If you like Professor Dumbledore, it is recommended to pick the second option.

Then, you will decide to gather some holiday wishes by listening to rumors around the courtyard to find out more. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to a girl from Slytherin and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

When you finish, you will mention to Penny that many people are talking about the girl from Slytherin who fell from her broom.

Penny will express sympathy for that girl and add that she’s probably disappointed. You will add that you also heard people talking about wanting hot cocoa and spending more time outside.

Penny will add that, unfortunately, she won’t be able to enjoy that holiday tradition this year. This will prompt you to ask her about the Forbidden Forest, and she will say that a walk in the Forbidden Forest might sound lovely, but due to all the dangerous creatures, it wouldn’t be safe to walk there. There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

In any case, she’ll say that she will probably have to wait until next year to walk among the snowy trees. She will add that she thinks the injured Slytherin girl is your best bet for finding a holiday wish to fulfill.

You’ll get extra lines of dialogue if you date Penny. Following that, she will wish you luck and mention to tell her if you need assistance. You’ll thank Penny and wish her a Happy Christmas, and at that moment, you will see Fawkes again.

You’ll wonder if Fawkes is following you, but you will still decide to continue and go to the Hospital Wing to visit the unfortunate girl who fell from her broom.

Go to the Hospital Wing to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive there, you will see that the Hospital Wing is crowded.

These lines will differ based on whether you met Chiara before. 

In any case, she will tell you that since you are not sick, you can help take care of the students. You will notice that there are many students, and Chiara will reassure you that it’s like this every year for Christmas. Some dialogues will differ depending on which year you attend.

Then, you will help care for the patients. To complete the next task, you need to earn (five stars within three hours for Years 2-4 and five stars within eight hours for Years 5+). Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Unfortunately, there are no bonus progress actions in this task. When you finish, Chiara will thank you for your help, and you will tell her that you’re happy to assist. Then, you’ll ask her what she thinks is the reason the Hospital Wing is so busy during the holidays. She will tell you that there are many reasons, mentioning that a lot of people simply spend too much time in the snow and end up catching a cold.

She’ll suggest that it would be good to have a place outside where students could get a hot cup of tea or cocoa. She will add that it would reduce the number of patients and make the holidays much happier. You’ll get extra lines of dialogue if you date Chiara. After that, she will return to the patients and wish you a Merry Christmas.

You’ll then approach Merula, who turns out to be the Slytherin girl who fell off the broom. She will then ask you what you want and if you’ve come to gloat, reprimand her, or pretend to care. There are three options to choose from. If you like Merula, it is recommended to pick the third option.

Then, you’ll ask her how she got injured, and she will explain that she was showing some Ravenclaws how to fly a broom properly. However, a gust of wind blew her off, and she ended up falling and injuring her ankle. She’ll add that it’s nothing serious and that she should recover in a short time, but she’s sorry that she won’t be able to participate in the Slytherin ice-skating trip.

She’ll add that she missed the chance to try out her new ice skates and that there aren’t many opportunities to go ice skating around Hogwarts. She will also say that her entire holiday is ruined. You’ll get extra lines of dialogue if you date Merula. 

You’ll tell Merula that she shouldn’t give up on the holiday so easily and that she can still make it enjoyable. Following that, you’ll decide to return to the Headmaster to report your findings.

Proceed to Dumbledore’s Office when you are ready to meet with Professor Dumbledore. Upon arrival, you will be surprised by the absence of the Headmaster in his usual spot, but you will spot him on the upper floor and proceed to make your way up to him.

When you approach him, he will apologize for not coming to greet you and say that his mind is elsewhere.

He’ll then ask you to report what you have learned about the students. You will add that you found out that Merula Snyde injured her ankle and will soon recover, but she will miss the chance to go ice skating.

You’ll then tell him about Penny, whose family is away this year, so she’s staying at Hogwarts for the holiday. You will also add that she mentioned how much she’ll miss walking among the snowy woods that surround her home.

This line will differ based on your previous choice.

This line will differ based on whether you met Chiara before. 

You’ll add that her wish is for students to have easy access to hot beverages, hoping to reduce the number of illnesses and make the holiday more enjoyable.

You’ll tell him that you’ve also heard some students talking about how much they’re enjoying the winter weather, but that’s all you found out. He will commend you, saying you’ve done a good job, and then he will summarize all the information you’ve provided.

He’ll then ask you whose wish you personally find most delightful. There are three different options to choose from. All of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

He’ll then say that it would be a shame if these wishes didn’t come true and suggest that you discuss the matter further to find solutions that would help everyone. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. Three stars are required to pass. 

The bonus progress actions are tied to your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

When you finish, you and Dumbledore will decide to create a place with a grove of snowy trees, a frozen pond for skating, and hot beverage stations, thus fulfilling all three wishes of your friends.

You’ll tell Dumbledore that there’s a lot of snow on the training grounds, and it could serve as a place for your wonderland there. He’ll like the idea and say that this will be a holiday to remember.

Proceed to the Training Grounds when you are ready. When you arrive there, Dumbledore will thank you for coming.

To create a winter wonderland, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Unfortunately, there may not be any bonus progress action, but rest assured, you can still bask in the enchanting scenes of Dumbledore’s magic, making your holiday experience truly magical. Upon successful completion, you will create a winter wonderland, reviving the magic of the holiday and leaving lasting memories for all.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised by this beautiful scene, so much so that you won’t even notice that Professor Dumbledore has disappeared again.

Following that, your friends will approach you, expressing their delight and amazement at this magical scene.

Penny will ask you how all of this came to be. There are two options to choose from. If you like Dumbledore, it is recommended to pick the second option.

After they leave, you’ll wonder how you’ve been helping Professor Dumbledore create holiday miracles for others all this time. It makes you wonder what if Professor Dumbledore needs a holiday miracle?

In that moment, you will see Dumbledore’s phoenix, Fawkes, again.

You’ll be certain that there’s something to it, and you will decide to help Professor Dumbledore have a happy holiday.
