A Bad Omen Part 3

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for A Bad Omen Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, you and Barnaby went to see Professor Trelawney and ask her about the bad omen Barnaby predicted.

She said that he was gifted with the Sight. She also told you that the Five of Cards signifies new friends and alliances. Unfortunately, a torn card foretells ill fortune for that alliance. You asked her about Squawk, but sadly, she was unable to tell you where the creature is.

Afterward, you met with Liz at the Library, and she told you some interesting things about Occamies. You learned that those creatures are very protective of their eggs, so you decided to try to lure Squawk by tricking her into thinking that Occamy eggs are in danger.

Luckily, Jae agreed to help, and he was able to acquire some fake Occamy eggs, which you used to lure Squawk to come out of hiding. After placing the eggs in the courtyard, Charlie and you used the Fire-Making Spell to make Squawk think that the eggs are in danger.

The plan worked, and the baby Occamy appeared to protect the eggs. You successfully managed to secure her, and now is the time to continue where you left off. Head to the Hippogriff Club room when you are ready.

Penny will be happy to see the baby Occamy safely returned to the Hippogriff Club. Liz will be glad that you managed to find Squawk before Professor Kettleburn returned.

She will wonder if you are planning to tell Professor Kettleburn what happened. There are two options to reply with. If you want to be honest with the Professor, it is recommended to pick the first option.

You will say that the torn card Barnaby pulled wasn’t a bad omen after all. And most importantly, Squawk is safe and sound, and back in the Hippogriff Club.

The choice that you made after Barnaby pulled the torn card will take effect here.

Penny will ask you about the mysterious package that was sent to the Hippogriff Club. She will still believe that someone wanted the club members to brew the Draught of Living Death.

Liz will tell you that some of the torn pages are still missing. You’ll figure out that Squawk might’ve hidden some of the pages in the Hippogriff Club, so you’ll suggest searching the place.

Searching the Hippogriff Club requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

Penny will ask if you can make out any words on them. After taking a look at the pages, you will make out the words ‘fiesta’ and ‘Knarl quills’.

Penny will say that Knarl quills are used to brew some potions. However, they aren’t used in the Draught of Living Death. Liz will tell you that ‘fiesta’ is Spanish for party.

a bad omen part 3 1060

You will wonder what a party has to do with potion ingredients. Liz will admit that she has no idea. Penny will say there is someone who might be able to help.

You will be eager to solve the mystery. Penny will warn you that you might change your mind once she tells you who the person is.

She’ll say that the one who can help you solve the mystery is none other than the Potions Master, Professor Snape.

a bad omen part 3 1070

You will need to wait four hours until Professor Snape is ready to see you. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Proceed to the Potions classroom once the waiting time is over. Professor Snape won’t be too surprised to see Penny.

However, given that the two of you arrived together, he will assume that you need his help. There are two options for you to reply with. If you like Professor Snape, it is recommended to pick the first option.

In any case, the Professor will decide to hear you out.

Explaining your problem requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

There are actions with bonus progress tied to Penny and Professor Snape. Prioritize those if you want to save some energy.

a bad omen part 3 1100

You will inform Snape about everything that happened. You will also mention the mysterious book that was torn by baby Occamy.

Professor Snape will interrupt you before you get to tell him more. He’ll say he’s not surprised to hear that you are inept in magical creature care.

a bad omen part 3 1110

However, despite everything, Professor Snape will admit that both Penny and you should be clever enough to solve the mystery of the torn pages.

Penny will say that you were only able to read a few words. According to the Professor, the answer was in front of you the whole time.

a bad omen part 3 1120

You’ll be fairly sure that you would’ve seen something if it was right in front of you. Professor Snape will calmly explain that people are often blind to the things that are right in front of them.

Penny will ask if you have any idea what the Professor was talking about. There are three options to choose from. The correct answer is ‘The Hippogriff Club’.

a bad omen part 3 1130

Professor Snape will tell you that the author of the book was in the Hippogriff Club the whole time.

Penny will be surprised to hear that. You’ll wonder why the author didn’t say anything. According to the Professor, it is because you didn’t ask.

Moments later, Snape will kindly ask you to leave his classroom. Before you leave, he will advise you to mend the book as soon as possible. Otherwise, ill fortune may fall upon the Hippogriff Club.

a bad omen part 3 1140

You will quickly decide to go back to the Hippogriff Club and find the book’s author. Proceed there when you are ready.

Once you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of your classmates by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.

You will thank everyone for gathering so quickly. You’ll say it is extremely important to mend the book as soon as possible and tell them about Professor Snape’s warning.

a bad omen part 3 1150

Ismelda will remind you that some of the pages are still missing. Penny will say that the author of the book is in the room.

Ismelda won’t be too happy to hear that. She will threaten to jinx the book’s author for wasting her time.

a bad omen part 3 1160

You’ll try to calm her down and say that all of the Hippogriff Club members should look out for one another. Somehow, your words will manage to calm her anger.

You’ll kindly ask the book’s author to step forward. All of the Hippogriff Club members will look at each other, but no one will say anything.

a bad omen part 3 1170

Penny will also say a few words to convince the book’s author to step forward. You’ll tell her that the author of the book is maybe not a member of the Hippogriff Club.

She’ll remind you of the words Snape said earlier. You’ll recall him also saying that you were too close to see it. You will suggest spreading out and searching the place.

Searching the Hippogriff Club requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why you shouldn’t start this task if your energy bar is empty.

a bad omen part 3 1180

There is an action with bonus progress tied to the portrait. Prioritizing it should save you a bit of energy.

a bad omen part 3 1190

You will take a look at the portrait and find the name ‘Libatius Borage’ familiar. He’ll tell you that each member of the Hippogriff Club should know his name.

You will apologize to Mr. Borage and kindly ask him to remind you why his name sounds so familiar.

Before answering your question, Libatius Borage will ask you to name the four subjects Hippogriff Club members excel in. There are three options to choose from. The correct answer is ‘Herbology, Potions, Divinations, and Care of Magical Creatures’.

a bad omen part 3 1200

You’ll ask Mr. Borage if he would remind you why his name sounds so familiar. Sadly, he won’t do it, but he will give you a hint. He’ll say that he’s the author you were looking for.

He will also advise you to research great potion masters in order to find the answers you are seeking.

a bad omen part 3 1210

You’ll be surprised to learn that he’s the author of the mysterious book that was sent to the Hippogriff Club.

You’ll wonder if you can discover the name of the book and its sender by doing research. Mr. Borage will tell you there is only one way to know for sure.

a bad omen part 3 1220

You’ll decide to go to the Library and do some research. Proceed there when you are ready to continue.

Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say.

You will thank Penny and Tonks for joining you. Hopefully, with the help of your friends, you will be able to mend the book and prevent something bad from happening to the Hippogriff Club.

a bad omen part 3 1230

Penny will say she’s impressed by your cleverness. She’ll admit she never thought about speaking to Libatius Borage’s portrait.

Tonks will feel slightly annoyed that all of you need to figure out the name of the book that was sent to the Hippogriff Club.

a bad omen part 3 1240

You’ll reassure her that you can solve the whole mystery by doing some research. This will motivate Tonks to dig into the books.

Researching Libatius Borage requires earning five stars within an hour. Since all five stars are needed to pass, avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

a bad omen part 3 1250

There are bonus progress actions linked to Tonks and your character. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.

a bad omen part 3 1260

After doing some research, you will find the three most popular works of Libatius Borage: ‘Advanced Potion-Making’, ‘Asiatic Anti-Venoms’, and ‘Have Yourself A Fiesta In A Bottle’.

You’ll quickly realize that ‘Have Yourself A Fiesta In A Bottle’ is the name of the book that was sent to the Hippogriff Club.

Suddenly, everything will make much more sense. If you told Liz that an educational book was sent to the Hippogriff Club, you’ll get an additional line of dialogue.

a bad omen part 3 1270

Still, you will need to figure out who sent the book. Tonks will say she might know the answer to that.

You’ll recall her saying that the Occamy tore the sender’s name off the package. She’ll nod and say there was one word that didn’t make sense to her at the time. And that word was ‘Castelo’.

Penny will say that it sounds like the South American wizarding school Castelobruxo. If you’ve met Alanza, you will get an additional line of dialogue.

a bad omen part 3 1280

You’ll also say that Borage was a student at Castelobruxo. You will ask Tonks if she thinks that the package was sent by someone at Castelobruxo.

She’ll nod and say it is highly likely that was the case.

a bad omen part 3 1290

Penny will say that Castelobruxo also has their own Hippogriff Club. You’ll figure out that they sent the book as a gift to Hogwarts Hippogriff Club.

Penny will agree with you and say that they probably wanted to make a gesture of goodwill. Unfortunately, the book was torn to shreds by the baby Occamy.

Tonks will wonder what the Castelobruxo Hippogriff Club will do when they find out what happened. There are two options to choose from. This choice will affect some of the dialogue later on, but it won’t significantly change the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.

a bad omen part 3 1300

Either way, you will say it is extremely important to find all the missing pages and mend the book. That way, you can save the relationship with Castelobruxo Hippogriff Club. However, in order to do that, you will need the help of the members of the Hogwarts Hippogriff Club.

This will mark the end of Part 3 of A Bad Omen adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems.

Will you be able to find all the missing pages and mend the book? Or will Barnaby’s prediction come true? Find out in the next part of this adventure!

Thank you for reading.
