Dueling Deathday Parties Part 3
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Duelling Deathday Parties Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Previously, you tried to talk with Nearly Headless Nick and Erling the Great and get them to put aside their differences and come to an agreement. Unfortunately, neither of them wanted to listen to reason, and as a result, each of them decided to host their own Deathday party.
Later on, you helped Sir Nicholas by delivering invitations to his party. One of the invitees was Myrtle Elizabeth Warren, also known as Moaning Myrtle. Initially, she wasn’t planning on going to the party, but after talking to her for a while, you managed to convince her to attend. Furthermore, she asked you to be her guest, and you accepted it.
After delivering the invitations, Nearly Headless Nick asked you to meet with him to discuss some important things. Upon starting this part, you will be met with a waiting period of two hours. Since you are probably low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 2 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.
Head to the Clocktower Courtyard once the waiting time is over. When you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and check out what they have to say.
You’ll inform Sir Nicholas that you delivered all the invitations. He’ll be delighted to hear that.

Nick will tell you that he hasn’t yet made a firm decision about his Deathday feast.
He definitely wants to have a twelve-course meal at his party. However, he’s yet to polish out all the details about it.
You’ll suggest discussing it with him in order to get everything figured out. Soon enough, you will start going into details about the feast.
This requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if your energy is low.

There are actions with bonus progress linked to both Nick and your character, which should make things slightly easier.

Sir Nicholas will be happy that the menu is finally settled. Still, there are a lot of other things to sort out.
You’ll suggest sorting out the venue next. According to Nick, an outdoor space should be the most suitable.
You will tell him that the Friar asked you to talk to him about the competing parties.

You’ll say that the Friar is worried about their friendship and is trying to find a solution that would benefit everyone.
You will ask Nick if there’s a chance he can stop competing with Erling. Unfortunately, Sir Nicholas won’t be willing to do that.
He will ask if you think he’s taking things too far. There are two options to choose from. This choice will impact some of the dialogue later on, but ultimately, it won’t significantly change the story.

Nick will then ask if you know of a place where he could host his Deathday party. You will tell him that the Training Grounds should be suitable for his party.
Still, you would have to talk to Madam Hooch about it first. Nick will suggest talking to her as soon as possible. Proceed to the Training Grounds when you are ready.
When you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the students. Tap on those if you want to see what they have to say.
You’ll approach Madam Hooch and ask if you can have a moment of her time.

She’ll tell you she has some spare time before her next class. You will start by telling her you’re helping Nearly Headless Nick with organizing his Deathday party.
You’ll quickly get to the point and ask her if Nick could use the Training Grounds as a venue for the party.
Unfortunately, Madam Hooch will decline your request. She’ll explain the reasons behind her decision.

However, she will be willing to help you find another suitable place for Nick’s Deathday party.
You need to earn five stars within one hour (three hours for Year 4+ students) to complete this task. Three stars are required to pass.

The only bonus progress action here is linked to your character. Focus on your actions if you want to save a bit of energy.

In the end, you will figure out that the dungeons would be the perfect place for Nick’s party.
You’ll thank Madam Hooch for helping you. Moments later, the Fat Friar and Erling the Great will arrive.
By the looks of it, they got the same idea to use the Training Grounds as the Deathday party venue.

She’ll say that they cannot host the Deathday party on the Training Grounds. Erling will try to explain that he is much more important than Nearly Headless Nick.
Sadly for him, Madam Hooch will be firm about her decision.

Shortly after, she will leave the Training Grounds. Erling will quickly go after her.
The Friar will be very worried about his friend. You’ll ask him about it. According to the Friar, Erling thinks way too highly of himself. Apparently, he was behaving similarly while he was living.
You’ll ask if there’s anything that can be done about it. He will say that he can either try to talk things through with Erling or take matters into his own hands.
He’ll ask for your advice. This choice won’t have any effect on the outcome of the story, so feel free to take your pick.

The Fat Friar will thank you for listening to him. You’ll decide to get back to Nick and inform him about party venue options.
Go to the West Towers Corridor when you are ready to meet with Nick. Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say.
You’ll inform Sir Nicholas that the Training Grounds are not an option for his Deathday party venue.
However, you will tell him about the alternative.

After thinking about it for a moment, Nick will admit that he likes the idea. He will thank you for your help.
You’ll mention that it was Madam Hooch who helped you find a proper location for his Deathday party.

Nick will then decide to discuss the matter of food for his party. Apparently, he wants to take a look at the food that the house-elves have been preparing for Erling’s party.
Moments later, Merula will arrive, saying that she saw what the house-elves were working on earlier.
Sir Nicholas will be interested to hear more about it. Unfortunately, Merula didn’t stick around to see much. Still, you’ll ask if she can share everything she saw there.
Helping her remember requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why you shouldn’t start this task if your energy is low.

There are actions with bonus progress linked to Merula and your character. Prioritize these if you want to save some energy.

By the looks of it, Erling has planned out quite a spectacular feast. The Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts will suggest doing something rather mischievous to ruin the food for Erling’s party.
Nearly Headless Nick will point out that doing something like that would be completely dishonorable. Merula will try pushing him a bit.
Sir Nicholas will think for a while and then ask for your advice. This choice will be referenced later on, but it won’t have a heavy impact on the story, so feel free to take your pick.

In the end, Nearly Headless Nick will agree to Merula’s proposition to preserve Erling’s food.
You will have to wait four hours before you can continue. You will probably be low on energy at this point, which is why you should wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime. Proceed to the Great Hall once the waiting time is over.
Nick will point out that the only way for him to outdo Erling is to preserve the food planned for his Deathday party. Merula will suggest hurrying up.
Your previous choice will take effect here.

Nearly Headless Nick will decide to keep watch while Merula and you cast the spells. Needless to say, you will have to be quick and quiet.
Moments later, you will start executing this mischievous plan. To preserve Erling’s feast, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

There are bonus progress actions linked to Nick and Merula. Focus on those if you want to save as much energy as possible.

Once you are done, you will completely freeze Erling’s food.

Nearly Headless Nick will be satisfied with the results. He will suggest leaving the Great Hall before you get caught.
Unfortunately, before you get the chance to leave, Professor Sprout will arrive, looking extremely angry.
She will be shocked to see what you’ve done. She will ask you to explain yourself.
You have three options to respond with. If you take responsibility, you will lose 15 house points. However, if you like Nick or Merula, it is recommended to take responsibility since you will get these house points restored later on.

Professor Sprout will want to have a word in private with Nearly Headless Nick. She’ll ask Merula and you to wait outside in the courtyard.
This will conclude Part 3 of Duelling Deathday Parties adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 4 Gems.
What will happen with Nearly Headless Nick’s party now? Will he and Erling finally see reason and set their differences aside? Find out in the final part of this adventure.
