Flume’s Clues Part 3
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Flume’s Clues Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. We are halfway through, but now comes the interesting, harder part…
During the previous part, you and Penny went to the courtyard to talk to Mr. Flume and see if he can give you any clue about another Chocolate Frog card. You had to do some convincing, but ultimately, he agreed to give you another hint.
You figured out that the clue has something to do with fashion, so you went to meet Andre and see if he can help you decipher it. After talking about the clue, Andre figured out that it is related to Quidditch, so he asked Penny and you to meet him on the Quidditch pitch. After getting there, Andre revealed that the clue is most likely related to a Quidditch move called the Plumpton Pass.
He opened the nearby Quidditch trunk, and inside, there was a Chocolate Frog card tied to the Golden Snitch. Unfortunately, the Snitch flew away before any of you could grab it. To make things worse, Merula showed up on her broom, and she started chasing the Golden Snitch.
Both Andre and you quickly mounted your brooms. You distracted Merula while Andre went for the Snitch. Luckily, he managed to catch it, thanks to your help, so you ended up with another Chocolate Frog card.
Needless to say, Merula wasn’t happy with that turn of events, so she promised to form a team of her own and find every single remaining card. Since Andre joined your team, you needed one more Chocolate Frog card, so you went back to the courtyard to ask Mr. Flume for another clue.
Unfortunately, you couldn’t find him there. However, you did find Merula and her teammates, Barnaby and Ismelda. She told you that someone set off a dungbomb in Honeydukes, which is why Mr. Flume had to leave the courtyard.
On top of that, you learned that Merula’s team already found one card, and they received a clue from Mr. Flume before he left. Thankfully, Barnaby revealed to you that the clue has something to do with Circe, so you decided to do some research in the library. Proceed there when you are ready.

Upon arriving, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.
After grouping up with your teammates, you will be eager to do some research.
Unfortunately, there won’t be any books about Circe in the library. And since you are competing against Merula’s team, you definitely don’t want to waste any time.
Perhaps Madam Pince can help you find the books about Circe…
Unfortunately, the librarian won’t be able to help you. You’ll learn that all the books on Circe have been checked out.
You’ll immediately realize that Merula was the one behind it.
Madam Pince will say that she can recommend to you some great books on other famous witches. You’ll politely tell her that you need information related to Circe.
She’ll quickly realize that you are participating in the Chocolate Frog cards scavenger hunt.
Penny and you will figure out that Merula is trying her best to find the card before you. Penny will be unsure if the Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts is being clever or dodgy.
She will be interested to hear your opinion. There are two options to choose from. This choice will affect some of the dialogue lines later on, but it won’t significantly impact the story. If you like Merula, it is recommended to pick the first option.
In any case, you will need to come up with a new plan.
Figuring out your next step requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.
Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. As always, prioritize actions with bonus progress to save some energy.
After considering the options, the best course of action would be to find someone with historical knowledge about magic.
Penny will suggest asking Professor Binns for help. Shortly after, the three of you will leave the library. Your previous choice will take effect here.
Head to the History of Magic classroom when you are ready.
Both Penny and you will be quite optimistic about the plan. Shortly after, you will go to talk to the Professor about Circe.
Unfortunately, that might not be possible. Upon approaching his desk, you will notice that he’s sleeping, so you will need to find a way to wake him up.
There are two options you can choose from to do that. If your character knows the Amplifying Charm, you’ll have a third option as well. Each of the options will lead to the same outcome, so feel free to pick the one you prefer.
The following scene will differ, based on your choice.
Moments later, Professor Binns will wake up. He’ll be surprised to see so few students in the classroom.
You will politely greet him. He’ll assume that you’ve come to take an exam.
You will tell Professor Binns that you have a question for him.
Unfortunately, he will fall asleep again before you get to ask him about Circe. Once again, you will try your best to wake him up.
Luckily, it will work, and you will get to ask him a question. You will get straight to the point and ask Professor Binns about Circe.
He’ll smile and say that he gave a lesson on Circe sometime during the previous decade.
He’ll tell you his notes are somewhere on the desk. Sadly, they won’t be very organized, so he’ll ask you to check back with him in the next decade.
Needless to say, you won’t be able to wait that long, so you’ll offer to help him look through his notes.
Finding notes on Circe requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if your energy bar is empty.
There is a bonus progress action tied to Professor Binns. Prioritize it if you want to save a bit of energy.
The Professor will thank you for helping him search his notes. You will tell him you only found some notes for a witch from ancient Greece.
Apparently, those were the notes you’ve been looking for. Professor Binns will start telling you about Circe.
However, before he gets to finish the sentence, he will fall asleep again. Your previous choice will take effect here.
Luckily, the Professor will wake up after a few moments.
He’ll tell you that Circe was highly skilled in a specific type of magic. She even had an endless supply of test subjects.
Penny will admit that she’s finding it hard to stay awake. You’ll encourage her to keep listening to the story.
According to Professor Binns, Circe had a habit of finding lost sailors and turning them into pigs. He’ll go on and say that transfiguring a human into an animal is not an easy task.
If you’ve completed Welcome to the Sphinx Club adventure, you will get an additional line of dialogue.
Penny will tell you that transfiguring a human into an animal is the most difficult form of Transfiguration.
Professor Binns will say a few more words about Circe before falling asleep again. Thankfully, you won’t need to wake him up again.
You will figure out that the Chocolate Frog card might be somewhere in the Transfiguration classroom.
Penny will suggest going there next. But before that, you will need to wake up Andre.
You will need to wait five hours before you can continue. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.
Head to the Transfiguration classroom once the waiting time is over. You’ll say there is a good chance you might find the Chocolate Frog card in the classroom.
Andre will hope that Merula and her teammates haven’t found it already. There is only one way to find out if that’s the case.
Searching the classroom requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.
There are actions with bonus progress tied to Andre and the two nearby desks. Prioritize those actions if you want to save as much energy as possible.
You will find a book on Circe on the nearby bookshelf, so you will decide to see if there’s anything behind it.
Upon moving the book, you will find a Chocolate Frog card.
Andre will be very happy about it.
Suddenly, Professor McGonagall will arrive, and she’ll be surprised to see you and your friends. She will want to know what you are doing in her classroom. There are two options to reply with. Both will end up with the same outcome, so feel free to pick either one.
You will learn that Merula and Ismelda left the classroom shortly before you arrived. According to Professor McGonagall, they retrieved the Chocolate Frog card from the classroom.
Andre and you will be confused after hearing that. You’ll decide to take a better look at the card you found.
After examining it, you’ll notice some odd things. Suddenly, the Chocolate Frog card will ribbit.
You will realize that it probably isn’t the real Chocolate Frog card. You’ll wonder if it was transfigured by Merula.
Andre will say there is only one way to find out. You will take out your wand and cast Reparifarge. Trace the wand movement on the screen to do so.
The spell will work, and the Chocolate Frog card will turn into a real frog.
You’ll realize that you were tricked by Merula. Andre won’t be very happy about it.
As it seems, Merula created a fake card to throw you off the trail.
Professor McGonagall will point out that you at least had the chance to practice Reparifarge. Your previous choice will take effect here.
Sadly, you will still need another Chocolate Frog card to ensure that all three of you get invited to the feast.
And you will need to find it quickly since there’s no telling how many cards are left to be found.
However, you definitely don’t want to give up. Even the frog will encourage you to continue looking for another card.
Andre and Penny will split up and continue searching. You’ll suggest regrouping in the Great Hall. Go there when you are ready to continue.
Once you arrive, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say.
You’ll ask Penny if she and Andre had any luck in their search. Sadly, they couldn’t find any Chocolate Frog cards.
She’ll tell you that Andre is still searching. You will learn that she named the frog Figgy.
You will notice that Penny is looking very sad.
She will ask you to tell her something positive. There are three options to reply with. If you like Penny, it is highly recommended to pick the first or the second option.
Needless to say, finding another Chocolate Frog card would definitely be easier if you had one of Mr. Flume’s clues.
Just as you say that, Mr. Flume will enter the Great Hall. You’ll be happy to see him again. He’ll explain why he had to go back to his shop.
Luckily, the feast will still happen. However, there is only one Chocolate Frog card left to be found.
You will ask Mr. Flume to give you another clue. After thinking about it for a moment, he will provide you with another hint.
You’ll notice that Penny is back to her usual optimistic self. Moments later, the two of you will start working on deciphering the final clue.
This requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is not recommended to start this task with an empty energy bar.
There are two bonus progress actions tied to Penny. Prioritize her actions to save energy.
After discussing the final clue, both of you will agree that it could be related to charms. Hopefully, Professor Flitwick might be able to help you figure out where the final Chocolate Frog card is.
Figgy will seem to agree with you and Penny.
Your Hufflepuff friend will decide to look for Andre and meet you in the Charms classroom as soon as she finds him.
This will conclude Part 3 of Flume’s Clues adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 1 Chocolate Frog.
