Hagrid’s Holiday Part 2
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for Hagrid’s Holiday Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, you found out that all of your friends are leaving Hogwarts for the Christmas holidays, so you decided to assist Hagrid with his holiday chores.

[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 7 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]
Hagrid will ask if you are ready to make some rock cakes. You’ll say that you are. You will notice there are quite a lot of treats in the kitchens. You’ll ask Hagrid if all of those are for the special mission.
Hagrid will nod and say that Pitts made sure there are plenty of treats to deliver.
However, he forgot the rock cakes, so Hagrid decided to make some. Baking rock cakes is your next task. You need to earn five stars within three hours to complete it. Three stars are required to pass.
There is a bonus progress action tied to Hagrid. Prioritize it to save a bit of energy.
Hagrid will thank you for helping him bake rock cakes. He’ll tell you he made his first batch when he was little, and ever since then, he’s been using the same recipe.
He’ll admit that not everyone seems to like his rock cakes. He will ask if you like them. While this choice won’t significantly change the story, if you like Hagrid, it is recommended to pick the first option.
Hagrid will go to check the ovens before the two of you leave the kitchens. Suddenly, he’ll trip over a bag of flour. Luckily, he won’t get injured, but he will end up looking more festive.
He’ll tell you to meet him in his hut in a bit. You will need to wait three hours before you can continue. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime. Go to Hagrid’s Hut once the waiting time is over.
When you arrive, you’ll notice that Hagrid is still covered in flour. He’ll admit he had trouble cleaning the flour stains. Unfortunately, there is a lot of work to be done, so he didn’t have time to clean himself properly.
You’ll ask him what to do next. He will say that the two of you will be filling some wizard crackers. He’ll ask if you know what those are.
There are two options to reply with. This choice won’t impact the story in any big way, so feel free to select either option.
Shortly after, you will start working. You need to earn five stars within one hour (three hours for Year 6+ students) to complete this task. Three stars are required to pass.
There is an action with bonus progress tied to Hagrid. Prioritizing it should save you a bit of energy.
Together, Hagrid and you will manage to fill all of the wizard crackers. He’ll thank you for being kind enough to help him.
You’ll recall him saying something about using magic on wizard crackers. Hagrid will nod and explain that you made normal Christmas crackers. However, after using some magic on them, they’ll become proper wizard crackers.
Luckily, Professor McGonagall offered to help. Go to the Great Hall when you are ready to continue.
Hagrid will thank Professor McGonagall for agreeing to help. She’ll smile and say she was admiring the Christmas trees you and Hagrid prepared.
You’ll humbly admit that you just helped trim some branches. Professor McGonagall will tell you that even minor labor can lead to great achievements.
She’ll say that you should be proud of what you accomplished. However, there is still a lot of work to be done. She’ll go on and say that she immediately agreed to help Hagrid when he told her about his idea to deliver gifts to the community.
You’ll notice plenty of baskets neatly filled with gifts. You will assume that Hagrid and you are going to be delivering those gifts.
Professor McGonagall will say that you are right in your assumption. Still, you’ll wonder how you are going to carry all those gifts. Apparently, that’s where Professor McGonagall comes in. She’ll be enchanting the wizard crackers.
Hagrid will say that all the crackers are ready. Before casting the spell, Professor McGonagall will ask for a moment of your time.
She’ll say that you and every other student staying at Hogwarts for the holiday will receive a sizable pile of presents on Christmas morning.
Still, presents can hardly replace the company of friends and family. Professor McGonagall will ask if you are all right. There are three options to reply with. This choice won’t significantly impact the story, so feel free to pick the option you prefer.
You’ll ask the Professor if there is anything you can do to help. She’ll nod and say that the enchantment she is about to perform derives its power from the feeling of holiday joy.
She will need to focus on those emotions in order to perform the spell successfully. This will give you an interesting idea. You’ll decide to ask Professor McGonagall about her favorite holiday memories.
Helping Professor McGonagall find joy is your next task. You need to earn five stars within three hours (eight hours for Year 4+ students) to complete it. All five stars are required to pass.
There are bonus progress actions tied to Hagrid, your character, and some of the gift baskets. Focus on those actions to save energy.
You will remind Professor McGonagall of all the joyful memories she shared with her friends and family. She’ll thank you and say she is ready to perform the enchantment. She’ll wave her wand and all of the gift baskets will disappear.
You will ask what happened to the gifts. She’ll smile and say that you are going to find out when you see someone open one of the wizard crackers.
She’ll then give you another wizard cracker and tell you to give it to Hagrid when the time is right.
Shortly after, Hagrid will gather up all of the wizard crackers. Professor McGonagall will wish you both a pleasant journey.
Before you leave, she’ll ask Hagrid if he is certain he wants to go out covered in flour.
He’ll say that he is going to take care of it in his hut before he goes to deliver presents. Professor McGonagall will wish you and Hagrid Happy Christmas before you leave.
Go to Hagrid’s hut when you are ready to continue. Once you arrive, you’ll notice that Hagrid looks quite different. He’ll say that he still has some flour in his beard.
As for the outfit, he’ll tell you it is his old traveling outfit. He’ll ask you to tell him how he looks. There are three options to choose from. If you like Hagrid, it is recommended to pick the first or the second option.
You will then get to make final preparations before leaving. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.
There are bonus progress actions linked to Hagrid and your character. Prioritize those actions to save energy.
Hagrid will tell you that the first stop will be to see one of his friends from the Forbidden Forest, a centaur named Torvus.
If you’ve met Torvus before, you’ll tell Hagrid about it. Otherwise, you’ll say that you never met a centaur before.
Moments later, you and Hagrid will leave his hut. This will conclude Part 2 of Hagrid’s Holiday adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 3 Gems and 1 Chocolate Frog.
So the first stop is to visit Torvus. Will he appreciate Hagrid’s gift? And what other places will you visit after that? Find out in the next part of this adventure!
