Hagrid’s Holiday Part 3
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Hagrid’s Holiday Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, you helped Hagrid bake some rock cakes. [Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 7 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 2 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]
Hagrid will tell you that Forbidden Forest is no place for gift giving, which is why he asked Torvus to meet him at the Care of Magical Creatures classroom.
Moments later, the centaur will arrive. If this is your first time meeting Torvus, Hagrid will introduce you. If you’ve met Torvus before, you’ll happily greet him. The following lines of dialogue will differ, depending on your current progress of the main story.
Torvus will wonder why Hagrid asked to meet with him. Hagrid will explain that he wanted to give him a Christmas gift.
The centaur won’t seem interested in receiving gifts. He’ll remind Hagrid that the last present he gave him wasn’t really appropriate for a centaur.
Hagrid will apologize for that. You’ll tell Torvus that humans love to exchange gifts during the holiday season. You will ask if the centaurs have holidays of their own.
Torvus will be slightly surprised that you are curious about centaur customs.
You’ll smile and say that you want to hear about it. After considering it for a moment, he’ll decide to explain some things about the centaur holidays.
You need to earn five stars within eight hours to complete this task. Three stars are required to pass for Year 2-3 students. All five stars are required to pass for Year 4+ students.
There are bonus progress actions tied to Hagrid and Torvus. Prioritize those actions to save energy.
You’ll learn that centaurs celebrate the winter solstice. On the longest night of the year, they gather to mark the passage of the seasons. Together, they share the stories of the past, and of the warmer seasons to come.
You will smile and say that their holidays aren’t too different from the human holidays. Torvus will ask you to explain it. There are three options to choose from. Each one of those options will end up with the same outcome, so feel free to pick the one you prefer.
Torvus will realize there’s truth to your words, and he’ll decide to accept the gift. Hagrid will be glad to hear that. He’ll give Torvus one of the wizard crackers.
Upon opening it, a basket full of treats will appear next to the centaur. Torvus will appreciate the gift, and he’ll express his gratitude to you and Hagrid.
Shortly after, Torvus will decide to head back to the forest. Before leaving, he’ll thank you again and wish you happy holidays.
Hagrid will thank you for convincing Torvus to accept the gift. You’ll smile cheekily and remind him that you are his holiday helper.
Your next stop is Ollivanders. However, you will need to wait five hours before you can continue. Since you will probably be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.
Go to Ollivanders shop in Diagon Alley once the waiting time is over. Mr. Ollivander will be glad to see you and Hagrid. He’ll say that it’s been a while since he last saw you.
If you completed Chapter 15 of Year 7, you will get some additional lines of dialogue. We decided not to include images of those in our Walkthrough since they contain main story spoilers.
You will learn that Mr. Ollivander enjoys listening to holiday music. He’ll ask if you also like holiday music. There are three options to reply with.
This choice will affect some of the following dialogue lines. If you pick the third option, you’ll miss out on some minor parts of the story, so keep that in mind.
If you didn’t tell Ollivander you hate holiday music, he’ll be curious to know how it makes you feel. There are three options to choose from.
Ollivander will react best if you pick the third option, so it is somewhat recommended to select that one.
Shortly after, you will get to discuss holiday music with Mr. Ollivander. You need to earn five stars within three hours to complete this task. Three stars are required to pass.
There are actions with bonus progress tied to Mr. Ollivander and your character. Focus on those actions to save energy.
Mr. Ollivander will tell you that he usually spends Christmas in his shop, listening to holiday music. You will be surprised that he keeps his shop open through the entire holiday.
He’ll tell you that a wandmaker’s work is never done. However, he is perfectly happy to stay in his shop and listen to holiday music.
He will also admit that he always looks forward to friendly visits. Hagrid will say that he has a gift for him, a small token of gratitude for everything he’s done for young witches and wizards.
Mr. Ollivander will open the wizard cracker, and he’ll be pleasantly surprised to see a basket filled with holiday treats.
He’ll thank you and Hagrid for the lovely gift. Hagrid will say that the two of you still have plenty of gifts to deliver.
Mr. Ollivander will smile and say that Father Christmas has but one night to complete his deliveries.
You’ll wish each other Happy Christmas, and shortly after, you will leave the shop. Your next stop is Flourish and Blotts, so go there when you are ready.
Madam Villanelle will politely greet you and Hagrid. Apparently, she will be closing the shop soon. Hagrid will say that the two of you won’t take too much of her time.
She’ll thank him for understanding and say that another customer is keeping her from closing the shop.
Madam Villanelle will smile and tell Hagrid that she appreciates his yearly visits. You’ll be curious to know what she likes to do during the holiday.
She’ll say that she enjoys reading and taking care of her cats.
Unfortunately, she won’t be able to go home until all of the customers are gone. She’ll turn around and ask if her last customer is ready to make a purchase.
As it appears, that customer is none other than Mundungus Fletcher. She’ll tell you that he’s been in the shop for hours, talking to her other customers, but not buying any books.
You will decide to talk to Mundungus and convince him to leave. You and Hagrid will approach Fletcher. After greeting Hagrid, he’ll turn to you. If this is your first time meeting Mundungus, Hagrid will introduce you.
If you’ve met Fletcher before, he’ll be happy to see you. The following lines will differ, depending on your current progress of the main story. Also, if you completed Needlefingers and Company side quest, you will receive some additional lines of dialogue here.
Mundungus will ask if there’s anything he can do for you. Hagrid will decide to be direct and tell him that Madam Villanelle wants to get home soon, for the holiday.
Fletcher will quickly realize that he’s not wanted and he’ll prepare to leave the shop. You’ll notice that something is wrong, so you’ll ask him about it.
However, he won’t feel like talking about it. Hagrid will tell him there is no reason for anyone to feel unhappy on Christmas, and he’ll ask him to say what’s troubling him.
Talking to Mundungus is your next task. You need to earn five stars within three hours to complete it. Three stars are required to pass for Year 2-3 students. All five stars are needed to pass for Year 4+ students.
There are actions with bonus progress tied to Hagrid and Madam Villanelle. Prioritize those actions to save energy.
You’ll learn that Mundungus was feeling lonely because of the holiday. He will admit he got no one else to spend the holiday with. He’ll tell you that the rest of his family are long gone.
He will say that he misses having someone to talk to, especially during the holidays. Hagrid will hate to see him feel lonely on Christmas, and he will offer him a wizard cracker.
This will surprise Mundungus. He’ll say that he hasn’t seen one of those since he was little.
Hagrid will hand him one wizard cracker. Fletcher will open it, and a basket filled with treats will appear next to him.
You will notice a smile of happiness on his face. He’ll kindly thank you and Hagrid for making it the best Christmas he had in a long time.
Madam Villanelle will tell him to clean up the mess he made before he goes. You’ll ask Mundungus if he’ll be all right. He will nod and say there is nothing wrong with being on your own at Christmas.
If you’ve met Mundungus before, you’ll get some additional lines of dialogue, depending on your current progress of the main story. You’ll also get an additional line if you completed Needlefingers and Company side quest.
Mundungus will turn to Hagrid and praise him for being brave enough to dress up in such a fine costume. Your friend will get slightly confused by his words.
Hagrid will tell you he is going to stay and help Madam Villanelle finish her work. Besides, he still has to give her a wizard cracker.
He’ll tell you to take a break at the Leaky Cauldron, so go there when you are ready. When you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.
You will take a look around and notice that nearly everyone is having a lovely time. However, one person won’t look happy, and that one is none other than Draco Malfoy.
If you’ve met Draco before, you’ll instantly recognize him. Otherwise, you’ll wonder why he doesn’t look happy. In any case, you’ll decide to talk to him and see what’s troubling him.
You’ll approach Draco and greet him happily. If this is your first time meeting Draco, you will introduce yourself.
If you completed Meet the Malfoys adventure, the choice you made near the end of it will take effect here. If you kept Draco’s secret, he’ll be glad to see you. Otherwise, he won’t be too happy about it.
You’ll then learn that he’s waiting for his father to finish some important business elsewhere. Draco will feel very bored since he has to wait until his father returns.
You’ll figure out he could use some company. His response will differ, depending on whether or not you completed Meet the Malfoys adventure and if you kept his secret.
Keeping Draco company is your next task. You need to earn five stars within three hours (eight hours for Year 4+ students) to complete it. All five stars are required to pass.
There are bonus progress actions tied to Draco and one of the patrons. Focusing on those actions should save you some energy.
You’ll learn that Draco’s father always has important business, even on holidays. Needless to say, Draco won’t like that.
You’ll decide to cheer him up, so you will offer him a wizard cracker. Draco will be slightly surprised by your generous gift. There are two options for you to reply with. If you like Draco, it is recommended to pick the first option.
Draco will open a wizard cracker, and a basket filled with treats will appear next to him. You’ll notice a genuine smile of happiness radiating from him.
He’ll spot a rock cake inside the basket. You’ll try to warn him to be careful while eating it, but apparently, Draco has other plans.
He’ll smile and thank you for the gift. Moments later, you’ll notice his father entering the Leaky Cauldron. Before leaving, you and Draco will wish each other Happy Christmas.
This will mark the end of Part 3 of Hagrid’s Holiday adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems.
You and Hagrid have already delivered some of the presents and made several people happy. However, you still need to visit St. Mundo’s and deliver the presents to the children. Will they be happy to see Hagrid? And will they like the presents? Find out in the final part of this adventure!
