Welcome to the Sphinx Club Part 3
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for Welcome to the Sphinx Club Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Last time, Ismelda and you took Merula to the Artefact Room, where you attempted to undo the effects of her Self-Transfiguration. You tried using Reparifarge, but unfortunately, there was no effect.
You decided to ask members of the Hippogriff Club for help, and thankfully, they were willing to provide their assistance. Penny suggested using the Drowsiness Draught to weaken the effects of the spell.
After administering it, you used Reparifarge again, and as a result, Merula turned into a Puffskein. Later on, you asked Ben for help, and after talking to him, you decided to see if any member of the Dragon Club might be able to help.
Thankfully, Tonks offered to help, but in exchange, she asked you to retrieve her Fanged Frisbee from the Headmaster’s office. You agreed to her proposition, and soon enough, you will get the opportunity to help your Hufflepuff friend.
Upon starting this part, you will be met with a waiting period of four hours. Since you will probably be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait and let your energy recharge in the meantime.

Walkthrough
[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 4 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 3 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]

Head to the West Towers Corridor once the waiting time is over. Tonks will ask if you and Merula are ready to help her retrieve her Fanged Frisbee.
You’ll nod and inform her about the plan. Merula will be the one to sneak into the Headmaster’s office while Tonks and you keep watch. The Most Adorable Puffskein at Hogwarts will happily chirp in approval.

Shortly after, she will head towards Professor Dumbledore’s office. Speaking of Dumbledore, Tonks will suggest stalling him in case he shows up.
Moments later, the Headmaster will arrive and greet both of you. He will ask if there’s any reason for you to be hanging around in the halls.

For a moment, you will be unsure of what to say. Tonks will quickly salvage the situation by saying you’re just talking about the clubs.
Professor Dumbledore will ask you to tell him about your experience with clubs so far. Needless to say, this would be a perfect opportunity to stall him and buy time for Merula.
To do that, you need to obtain five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, which is why it’s not recommended to start this task if your energy bar is empty.

The only bonus progress action here is tied to your character. Prioritize it if you want to save a bit of energy.

Professor Dumbledore will be pleased to hear that you’ve been having a good time in clubs.
He’ll ask you about your favorite part of the Sphinx Club. There are three options to choose from. This choice won’t have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to take your pick.

Shortly after, the Headmaster will decide to go back to his office. Knowing that Merula is there, Tonks will interrupt him from leaving.
You will quickly think of a reason for him to stay away from his office.

Thankfully, this will seem to work. Not long after that, Professor Dumbledore will leave.
Tonks will thank you for the quick thinking. You will wonder if Merula had enough time to retrieve the Fanged Frisbee.
Suddenly, you will hear her chirping happily and notice that she succeeded at her mission.

Tonks will express her gratitude for helping retrieve her Fanged Frisbee. She will suggest heading back to the Dragon Club to find a way to fix Merula.
Suddenly, her Fanged Frisbee will vanish, and you will wonder where it went. Tonks will have a theory about what happened to it.

She will ask you to meet her at the Training Grounds, so go there when you are ready. Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of your classmates and see what they have to say.
Tonks will tell you she figured out what happened to her Fanged Frisbee. Apparently, the Headmaster enchanted it to return to his office. That way he didn’t even need to keep an eye on it.
Unfortunately for Tonks, she will have to wait for a while before getting her Fanged Frisbee back. Merula will chirp at you.

You will remind Tonks that Merula still needs help changing back to a human. She will give you a sad look and say that she has a confession to make.
Listening to her requires earning five stars within an hour. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are out of energy.

The only bonus progress action here is linked to Tonks. Focus on her actions if you want to save some energy.

Sadly, your Hufflepuff friend will be unable to change Merula back into a human. However, there might be someone who could help.
Merula will chirp at her. Tonks will say that the Most Powerful Puffskein at Hogwarts is way too adorable to be angry.
She will also say she is sorry for not telling you everything and ask you to forgive her. If you like Tonks, it is recommended to pick the first option.

As for the person who can help Merula, it is none other than Hagrid. Merula will find it odd that he’s the one who can change her back.
According to Tonks, Hagrid had some experience with miscast spells, which is why he might be able to help.
On top of that, it is unlikely he would tell Professor McGonagall about Merula’s Self-Transfiguration.

You’ll decide to visit Hagrid as soon as possible and see if there’s anything he can do to help. Proceed to his hut when you are ready.
Hagrid will happily greet you and ask if there’s anything he can do for you. You will tell him there’s a Transfiguration problem you need help with.
He’ll say it’s been quite some time since he studied Transfiguration. In fact, Professor Dumbledore was still teaching the subject back then.

Still, he will be willing to help if he’s able to. You will say there’s a person who accidentally got Transfigured into a creature and can’t change back.
Naturally, Hagrid will suggest talking to Professor McGonagall about it. You’ll tell him that you cannot have her find out what happened.
You will look at Hagrid and ask if he can keep a secret. Unfortunately, keeping secrets isn’t really something Hagrid is good at, but he will promise to try his best.

That will be good enough for you to introduce him to the Most Powerful Puffskein at Hogwarts. You’ll inform him about what happened to her.
Hagrid will be very surprised to see Merula in her current state. You will ask if there’s anything he can do to help.
Sadly, Hagrid is not allowed to use magic ever since he got expelled from Hogwarts. However, he knows some books that might prove helpful. Merula will happily chirp at him.

You will then get to talk to him about the books. This requires earning five stars within eight hours. All five stars are needed to pass.

The only action with bonus progress here is linked to Hagrid. Focusing on his actions should save you a bit of energy.

You will thank Hagrid for the book recommendations. You will notice that Merula is getting very impatient.
You’ll ask Hagrid if there’s any chance he could change her back. Unfortunately, he will admit he’s unable to do so. Merula will sadly look at the ground.

Hagrid will apologize for not being able to do anything else to help. There are two options to reply with. If you like Hagrid, it is recommended to pick the first choice.

In the end, you will decide to head to the Library and see if you can find the books Hagrid recommended. Once again, Hagrid will promise to keep your secret. You’ll thank him before leaving his hut.
You will have to wait three hours until you can continue. Since you will likely be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait until the timer runs out. This way, your energy will replenish in the meantime.
Proceed to the Library once the waiting time is over. When you arrive, you will be able to interact with some characters by tapping on the speech bubbles above them.
You will thank Ben for helping you research Transfiguration. After all, it is much easier to do that with two people. Merula will correct you on that one.

Ben will say he is happy to help. Still, he will wonder where to start. You’ll tell him about the books Hagrid recommended.
Merula will chirp at you, eager to start researching. You will quickly decide to go through the books and see if you can find anything that could help her.
Researching Transfiguration requires earning five stars within an hour. Three stars are needed to pass for Year 2-5 students. All five stars are required to pass for Year 6+ students.

There are bonus progress actions linked to the books in front of Ben and Merula. Also, she will look absolutely adorable flipping through the pages of her book.

You will stumble upon an interesting piece of information. Merula will be curious to hear about it.
You will ask if her first spell for full Self-Transfiguration was designed with her wand. She will nod at you.

Apparently, the difference between your wands was the factor you overlooked when you used Reparifarge to reverse the effects of her spell.
With some luck, you might be able to figure out how to undo the effects of Merula’s Self-Transfiguration. According to Ben, that might prove to be quite the challenge.
Suddenly, Madam Pince will appear, and she won’t be happy to see a Puffskein in her Library. She’ll demand an explanation. There are three options to choose from. All of these will lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

Madam Pince will remind you that pets are not allowed in the Library, and Merula will angrily chirp at her before leaving the place.
Shortly after, the Librarian will return to her duties, and you will be glad that she didn’t suspect anything. Ben will point out that Merula definitely didn’t like being called a pet. You’ll quickly decide to go after her.

This will mark the end of Part 3 of Welcome to the Sphinx Club adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems.
Will you be able to figure out a way to turn Merula back to normal? Or will she forever stay the Most Powerful Puffskein at Hogwarts? Find out in the final part of this adventure.
