Mother Hens Part 2
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of the Mother Hens Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery!
In the previous part, you got the extracurricular assignment from Professor McGonagall to take care of the transfigured egg and experience the challenges of being a parent. Because the egg is transfigured, you won’t be able to see which Magical Creature it is, so you’ll need to learn its needs and adapt.
You’ve asked Molly Weasley for advice about parenthood. Afterwards, Hagrid helped you to make a nest for your egg, using Never-tangle wool. Lastly, after extensive research in the Library, you and Tonks discovered the best way to keep your eggs warm is by using the Flame-Freezing Charm.

Walkthrough
Before starting the next task, you’ll have a waiting time of one hour. Once the waiting time is over, go to the Charms Classroom to meet with Professor Flitwick.
Depending on whether you already know the Flame-Freezing Charm, you will ask the professor to teach you or to help you brush up, and you will explain that you need this charm for your assignment.

To finish your next task, you’ll need to earn all five stars within three hours.

Bonus progress actions will be tied to both Professor Flitwick and your character.

Professor Flitwick will be satisfied with your effort, but before attempting the Flame-Freezing Charm, he would like to test your knowledge. The second option, “Rendering fire harmless,” is the correct answer. If you give a correct answer, the professor will add +5 points to your House.
You’ll need a hot coal to cast the spell. Professor Flitwick will suggest checking the fireplace in the Great Hall. He will confess that your kindness towards your egg reminds him of his mother, who provided and cared for him with love, and she encouraged him not to fret about his height. Her nurturing and loving disposition was one of his favourite parts of growing up with her. This information will be useful for your assignment.
Go to the Great Hall to continue the story. At the fireplace, you will meet Merula, and behind her, a long waiting line of other students. Merula will explain that all students come to warm their eggs at the fireplace, including her. She is trying to set up her egg’s nest near the fireplace, but she’s probably taking too long, and the crowd of students appears, which makes her nervous.

You’ll have the opportunity to suggest your idea to her or to keep it to yourself. If you suggest, she won’t accept it.
Merula will be stubborn, and she won’t move away from the fireplace until her nest is in the perfect spot. You’ll decide to help her so that the others can reach the fireplace later.

To position Merula’s nest to the correct spot, you’ll need to collect all five stars within three hours.

Bonus progress actions will be tied to Merula and your character. Prioritize actions tied to them to save some energy.

You’ll manage to find the perfect spots for yours and Merula’s eggs, where it’s neither too cool nor too hot.
Merula will claim that she could solve the problem alone, and she’ll mention that she doesn’t need any help from you or Molly Weasley. You’ll ask her why she’s mentioning Molly, and she’ll explain that Mrs. Weasley is in the Clocktower Courtyard talking with students about parenting.

You’ll remember that Molly mentioned she’ll visit Hogwarts, and you’ll decide to attend her presentation, but first, you’ll need to cast the Flame-Freezing Charm to make the hot coal safe to touch.

You will then place the hot coal into the nest, next to the egg.
Go to the Clocktower Courtyard to meet Molly Weasley. She will be thrilled to see that you were able to get a nest for your egg, although she would be confused about the coal next to the egg. You’ll update her on your progress after she talks with students. Shortly after, Molly will gather the students to share her experiences of parenting.

To listen to what Molly has to say, you will need to collect three stars within eight hours. It is recommended to start this task once your energy bar is full.

There will be only one bonus progress action, and it will be tied to your character. Prioritize actions tied to your character to save a bit of energy.
After the speech concludes, you will explain to Mrs. Weasley why you have coal in the nest, and you will mention Merula and what happened near the fireplace in the Great Hall. Molly already heard about Merula Snyde, and once you tell her that Merula didn’t ask any parent for advice, she will worry about her and decide to help her.

Mrs. Weasley will ask you if you would take her to Merula. You can reply in two ways. Feel free to choose the option you like. The first option will give you +10 Empathy Points, and the second only +5 Empathy Points.
Go to the Dueling Room to find Merula. When you and Molly arrive, Merula will practice her duelling skills, not paying much attention to her egg.

Merula will be rude, and Molly will ask her if something about the assignment is bothering her. Merula will decline to answer. You can calm her in three different ways. Pick any option you like, but the first option is the best if you care about her.
Merula will calm down, and she will decide to tell you her frustrations about the assignment. She will mention that no one gets how different family situations can be. She will explain how her parents are gone, and nothing can change that.

To listen to everything Merula has to say, you’ll need to collect all five stars within three hours. Start this task when your energy bar is full.

Two bonus progress actions will be tied to Merula. Focus on actions tied to her to save some energy.
You and Molly will explain to Merula that her mother cared for her as much as possible, and it is understandable for her to miss her mother. You and Molly will continue explaining to her that her mother’s love didn’t cause any suffering, things just went awry, and her mother was taken away from her. Merula’s mom did everything she could to love and protect her daughter.
You will deduct one more lesson of parenting: give your child the best life you can with the little time you have. You’ll motivate Merula that if she really wants to be the strongest witch at Hogwarts, she should be able to handle caring for a single egg. This will work, and Merula will be motivated for the assignment again.

Suddenly, Merula will point to your nest, and you’ll realize that your egg is frozen. You will decide to visit Professor Flitwick to ask for help, while Molly and Merula will stay in the Duelling Room for more chat about parenting.
This will mark the end of Part 2 of the Mother Hens Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems and 1 Chocolate Frog.
What is happening with your egg? How is it frozen, despite being in the Never-tangle wool and the hot coal next to it? Find out in the next part.
