Search for the Mirror of Erised Part 2

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for Search for the Mirror of Erised Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery.

During the previous part, you and your friends learned that a powerful magical artifact went missing and that the professors are looking for it. After figuring out that the missing artifact is the Mirror of Erised, all of you decided to search for it.

Thanks to Penny’s help, you were able to deduce that the mirror was hidden in the Room of Requirement before it went missing. Barnaby and Talbott helped you search the corridor on the seventh floor, where you found some clues that led you to the Herbology classroom.

Penny and you went there and interestingly enough, you found the mirror. Shortly after you arrived, Professor Sprout showed up and said that she was the one who moved the artifact. After informing her that the Headmaster is looking for the mirror, she suggested visiting his office as soon as possible, so proceed there when you are ready.

Professor Dumbledore will be glad to see you.

You’ll cheerfully greet him and Professor Sprout. As it seems, you’ve arrived just in time to hear Professor Sprout explain how the Mirror of Erised ended up in her classroom. Professor Dumbledore will advise you to listen closely.

You’ll be eager to learn what happened.

Listening to Professor Sprout requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

There is a bonus progress action tied to Professor Sprout. Prioritize it whenever it is available to save some energy.

You’ll learn that Professor Sprout did all in her power to save one of the first Puffapods she ever planted. Apparently, that plant was very important to her.

Unfortunately, there was not much she could do to save the plant, so she decided to look into the Mirror of Erised. The mirror showed her a greenhouse full of Puffapods.

Professor Dumbledore will comment on that.

Professor Sprout will admit that the mirror gave her much joy and she didn’t want to return it. She’ll apologize for causing any trouble.

Professor Sprout will also thank you for informing her about it. She will assume you think it’s silly that she cares so much for her plants.

There are two options for you to reply with. If you like Professor Sprout, it is highly recommended to pick the second option and say that you completely understand her.

Both she and Professor Dumbledore will appreciate it if you show compassion and understanding.

The Headmaster will share some of his wisdom with you about the mirror.

He’ll be glad that the mirror gave Professor Sprout the strength to let go of her beloved plant. He will also say that the mirror can help people move on.

Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Many people have wasted away looking at the seducing images in the mirror. Professor Sprout will thank him for understanding.

Professor Dumbledore will remind her that as a teacher, it is her right and privilege to use many of Hogwarts’ magical artifacts. He’ll also say it is probably for the best to avoid letting students get involved with the mirror.

Professor Sprout will agree with him. The Headmaster will ask if any of your classmates know the location of the mirror.

You’ll tell him that only Penny knows about it. You will also mention that she was determined to return it to him.

Professor Dumbledore will appreciate it. He’ll also thank you for informing him about the mirror immediately. Shortly after, all three of you will leave the office.

Proceed to the Herbology classroom when you are ready to continue. Once you arrive, you’ll notice that the mirror is no longer in the classroom, so you’ll assume that Professor Dumbledore already moved it.

Unfortunately, that’s not the case. According to Professor Sprout, the Mirror of Erised has been stolen.

The Headmaster will advise her not to jump to conclusions. He’ll say that someone must’ve found the mirror and decided to gaze into it.

Still, you’ll find it odd that the mirror got moved. Professor Dumbledore will have a simple explanation for that.

He’ll ask if you know who might have taken the mirror. There are three options to reply with. This choice won’t heavily impact the story, so feel free to go with the option you prefer.

The Headmaster will kindly ask you to inform him if you find out who took the mirror.

Professor Sprout will suggest talking to the caretaker since there is a chance he might know something.

Professor Dumbledore will like her idea. He’ll ask you to search the classroom for clues while the two of them go and talk to Mr. Filch.

You’ll be more than happy to help. Moments later, they will leave the place and you’ll decide to search the classroom for clues.

To do that, you will need to earn five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is not recommended to start this task if you are low on energy.

There are bonus progress actions tied to the frog and one of the boxes. Prioritize those if you are looking to save some energy.

After searching the whole Herbology classroom, the only unusual thing you’ll find will be Tulip’s toad, Dennis.

You will figure out that she was the one who took the mirror, so you’ll decide to find her and ask her about it.

Proceed to the Artefact Room when you are ready to meet with Tulip. She will be glad to see Dennis again. You’ll tell her you found him in the Herbology classroom.

Tulip will be curious to know what you were searching for. There are two options to reply with. Both of these will lead to the same outcome, so feel free to go with either one.

Your friend will admit that she looked into the Mirror of Erised. You’ll ask her to tell you everything she saw.

Hearing Tulip’s story requires earning five stars within one hour. Since all five stars are needed to pass, avoid starting this task if your energy bar is empty.

There are actions with bonus progress tied to Tulip and your character. Focus on those if you want to save some energy.

Apparently, Tulip was hoping she would see Tonks and her playing the ultimate prank together in the mirror.

However, what she saw was something entirely different – she was working for the Ministry of Magic, just like her parents. Although, she was glad that Tonks was there too.

She’ll say that she could never work for the Ministry since she doesn’t really like following the rules.

You’ll ask her if she was happy in her vision. Interestingly enough, she was.

Tulip will say that she’s been questioning everything she knows about herself ever since she gazed into the mirror.

You’ll smile at her and say that she’s still one of the best pranksters you know. You will tell her about what Professor Dumbledore said earlier.

Tulip will say she doesn’t want to see the mirror ever again. You’ll ask her to help you bring it back to the Headmaster.

She’ll say that the mirror is no longer in her possession. The one she gave it to was Talbott Winger. You’ll decide to head to the Owlery and retrieve the mirror.

Proceed there when you are ready to continue. You’ll be glad to see that the mirror is still in the Owlery.

Talbott’s opinion on it will be vastly different than Tulip’s.

Tulip will mention that Talbott is quite cheery which is very unusual. He’ll notice that she doesn’t look too happy. You’ll ask Talbott if he is aware that the Headmaster is still looking for the mirror.

He’ll say that he assumed it. However, he was too distracted since he moved the mirror to the Owlery. You’ll tell him that the teachers want the mirror returned to where it belongs.

Tulip will say that she wants the same thing. You’ll tell Talbott that the mirror’s reflection can be very powerful. He’ll agree and say that he already looked into it. You’ll be surprised to hear that.

He’ll notice the look on your face and ask if you are disappointed. There are two options to reply with. If you like Talbott, it is highly recommended to pick the second option.

He will be glad if you say that you’re not disappointed.

In any case, Talbott will admit that he doesn’t regret looking in the mirror. His feeling about the mirror will be completely opposite of Tulip’s. He will decide to explain what happened when he gazed into the Mirror of Erised.

Hearing Talbott’s story requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are bonus progress actions tied to Talbott and your character. Prioritize those to save some energy.

You’ll learn that Talbott saw himself with his family in the mirror. You will see genuine happiness in his eyes as he tells you about his vision.

He saw that his mum retired and she was working in the garden, surrounded by pumpkins. His father was still writing for the Daily Prophet.

Tulip will be slightly sad that her vision wasn’t as nice as Talbott’s. He’ll say a few more words about the things he saw in the mirror.

He will admit that he is drawn to look into the mirror again. You’ll advise him against it and say that the mirror needs to be returned to the Headmaster as soon as possible.

Suddenly, Merula will arrive, accompanied by Barnaby and Ismelda. She won’t like the idea of returning the mirror to Professor Dumbledore before she gets the chance to look into it.

You will try to warn her, but sadly, she won’t be willing to listen to you.

Tulip will agree that everyone should have a chance to experience the mirror. Once again, you’ll try to tell Merula about Dumbledore’s warning.

She’ll interrupt you before you get the chance to finish the sentence. She’ll mention that if you want to make your case for giving the mirror back to Dumbledore, you can meet them in the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom after nightfall.
