The Back to School Special Part 3

Introduction

Hello everyone, welcome to Part 3 of our Walkthrough for The Back to School Special Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. Previously, in Part 2, you focused on recovering from the chaos caused by the Doxies. While Andre worked on repairing your torn robes, you navigated the crowded shops of Diagon Alley to replace your lost books.

Along the way, you learned that the last copies of The Standard Book of Spells had been purchased by a Slytherin student, and Liz advised that you would need to be very convincing to persuade Ismelda Murk to lend you one, setting the stage for your next challenge at Ollivanders.

Go to the Ollivanders to convince Ismelda. If you don’t already know Ismelda, you will have a few lines of introductory dialogue. In any case, Ismelda will be direct and ask you immediately what you want.

There are two different options to choose from. Both of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

In any case, she will agree to let you try to convince her to give you a copy of the book. To convince Ismelda, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Ismelda nd your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

When you tell Ismelda about the Doxy incident, she will add that she appreciates a good series of unfortunate events. Following that, she will ask you what you would do for her if she helped you now. Choose the option you want; in any case, she will give you the book.

After that, you will decide to return to the Leaky Cauldron to check on Andre’s progress with your robes.

Proceed to the Leaky Cauldron when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you’ll see that he looks a little sad because he’s hit a creative block and needs your help. He will ask you to listen and give him some advice.

To help Andre, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to the robe and Andre. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.  

You’ll realize what the problem is: Andre has so many ideas that he doesn’t know which one to choose. He will then ask you for advice on how to unblock his creativity.

You will thank Andre and decide to go to the Apothecary to replenish your potion supplies.

Proceed to the Apothecary when you are ready. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, you will speak with Alfred and explain that you have a long list of potion supplies because the Doxies destroyed your school supplies for Hogwarts. 

He will say that he understands but mentions that he’s having some supply chain issues, and will suggest explaining a bit more about the situation in detail.

To learn Mr. Nettle’s problem, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

The bonus progress actions are tied to Alfred. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

You’ll realize that due to high demand, he started hiring locals and Hogwarts students to pick up and deliver his orders. But as a result, things are coming and going at different rates than usual. Now he doesn’t have all the ingredients he needs, and he’s not sure when to expect them. It looks like hiring students solved one problem but created another. He will then ask you what you think about it.

There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

You will decide to help him, and he will say that if you can find the student in charge of the deliveries, he’ll be happy to give you a discount on all your supplies, including, of course, the Newt spleens. He will then tell you that the student is Jae Kim.

Go to Flourish and Blotts to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.

Fortunately, you will find Jae there. You’ll get some additional introductory dialogue if you don’t already know him. In any case, you will ask him if there were any issues with the Newt spleens delivery he was doing for Mr. Nettle. He will say that not at all! He was heading to the Apothecary right after this and had left the package right by the door. 

However, when you look there, you’ll see that it’s gone. The package got mixed up with some of the book shipments, and someone has taken it. Madam Villanelle will then ask you what you think—do you believe it’s Jae’s fault?

You will agree to search the bookstore and find the lost package. To search for the Newt Spleens, you need to earn five stars within three hours. The five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Madam Villanelle and Jae. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

You’ll manage to find the package and thank Madam Villanelle for her help, but there’s little time left before the Hogwarts Express departs, and you still need to get your potion ingredients.

Part 3 concludes with a heightened sense of urgency and determination. You’ve successfully navigated unexpected setbacks, helped Andre overcome his creative block, and recovered the lost Newt spleens with Jae Kim’s assistance.

While these accomplishments bring relief, time is running short, and the Hogwarts Express is about to depart. The pressure to gather the remaining potion ingredients adds tension and excitement, leaving you poised and ready to face the final steps of your preparations.
