In the previous part, preparations for the Dragon Club Skills Exhibition were in full swing, with thrilling events like a Quidditch match, a duel exhibition, and advanced broom tricks on the horizon. However, growing concerns over threatening messages cast a shadow over the excitement, particularly surrounding the Defense Against the Dark Arts demonstration.

Determined to uncover the truth, you and your friends focused your investigation on Kingsley, a renowned Auror with possible enemies who could jeopardize the event. As the exhibition draws near, the tension rises, and new challenges begin to emerge, testing your ability to ensure everything goes according to plan.

Go to the Clocktower Courtyard to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. When you arrive, Tulip will inform you that Kingsley has decided to teach you a lesson.

These lines will differ based on which field you chose to focus on.

You’ll agree that it’s important to investigate whether Kingsley might be the one receiving the threatening messages, as they could potentially affect the event. Shortly after, Kingsley will introduce himself to everyone and mention that his area of expertise can be quite dangerous. He’ll express his dilemma about how to show you his skills in a safe way.

Kingsley will acknowledge that your instruction in this area has been uneven, and you’ll agree with him, adding that you get a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher almost every year, joking that the position seems cursed. Following that, Kingsley will ask if you’re familiar with the spell Salvio Hexia. These lines of dialogue will differ depending on which year you are in at Hogwarts.

In any case, Kingsley will continue with his explanation about the spell, adding that Salvio Hexia has kept him from harm more than once. He will then ask you to listen carefully and practice the spell with him.

To practise Salvio Hexia, you need to earn five stars within one hour. Three stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Kingsley and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions.

Afterward, Kingsley will ask you to cast the spell and see how it fares against a few friendly hexes from your fellow students. Trace the wand movement to cast Salvio Hexia.

The spell will work as expected, creating a small shield that will deflect the attacks from your friends, protecting you from their hexes.

Kingsley will explain that keeping people safe is the most important aspect of Defence Against the Dark Arts. This line will differ based on which field you chose to focus on.

Then, Kingsley will ask you what you value most about Defence Against the Dark Arts. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Kingsley will then say that you shouldn’t focus on using spells to cause harm but rather on those that protect those who can’t defend themselves. He’ll add that instead of focusing on the danger, you should focus on the spells that keep people safe. Following that, he’ll ask if you think this would be enough to impress the Hogwarts students. There are two different options to choose from. Both of them will eventually lead to the same outcome, so feel free to take your pick.

After the lesson, you’ll ask Kingsley about the rumors you heard regarding threatening messages sent to one of the special guests. You’ll ask if it’s possibly him. Kingsley will reply that anyone who’s spent time as an Auror makes enemies but that you shouldn’t worry about it. He says it’s all part of the job; he’s no stranger to threats, but he can look after himself.

Kingsley will ask you what kind of approach you’ve taken in investigating the rumors. These lines will differ based on your previous choice.

Kingsley will wish you luck and assure you that if you need any help, he is there for you. After that, you’ll decide to meet with Gwenog Jones. (Of course, the dialogue here will differ slightly if flying is your focus.)

Proceed to the Training Grounds when you are ready. When you arrive, you’ll find everyone gathered around Gwenog Jones, and Andre will greet you. You’ll inform Andre that you spoke with Kingsley about the rumor and that you’d like to talk to Gwenog about it as well. (This line will differ based on your previous choice.)

Andre will say that you can’t let anything interfere with your exhibition, especially the Flying portion. He’ll add that he loves flying—the thrill of speed, the wind in his hair… This line will differ based on which field you chose to focus on.

He will then ask you what you appreciate most about flying on a broom. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Soon after, Gwenog will approach you and mention that the Dragon Club Skills Exhibition will include a broom-flying performance Hogwarts will never forget. However, she’ll say that she can’t do it alone and needs a team to help her. You’ll realize that this is your chance to talk to Gwenog about the rumor, and of course, you’ll immediately offer your assistance.

To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Following that, after a brief conversation, you will tell her about the rumor. After listening to you, she will say that threats aren’t very common in her position, adding that you wouldn’t believe some of the things she has heard from fans of rival Quidditch teams. However, she will say that it’s mostly just hot air—at least most of the time.

Realizing that she is not the one who received the threatening messages, you will thank her and mention that you will keep her informed if you learn anything more. However, before you leave, she will grant you the honor of choosing a name for her flying team that will be performing tricks. Pick the name you like best.

Then, you will decide to head to the Dueling Room to visit Evelyn Starling. Go to the Dueling Room to continue the story. When you arrive, you will see a few students and Diego, who is admiring Evelyn Starling as she practices her dueling spells. 

If you don’t know Diego, there will be additional lines of dialogue. Otherwise, he will continue talking about Evelyn.

You will explain to him that you want to talk to Evelyn about the rumor, but Diego will be certain that Evelyn is the one who inspires fear, not the other way around. He will also mention that he has heard something suspicious that might interest you—there have been reports of shady figures spotted in Hogsmeade around the same time as the Dragon Club Skills Exhibition. He will then ask if you find that suspicious.

Then, Evelyn will approach you. There will be slight differences in the dialogue if you don’t already know her.

Shortly after, Evelyn will ask for two volunteers to help her practice a new spell. Seeing this as an opportunity to talk to her further, you will step forward—naturally, Diego will volunteer as well. Evelyn will decide to teach you the Ventus spell, a wind-based spell that will be very useful to you in the future.

To train with Evelyn, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Evelyn will then ask you to try casting the spell, so you will need to trace the wand movement to successfully cast Ventus.

The spell will work as intended, causing a gust of wind that nearly knocks Diego off his feet. In any case, Evelyn will then ask what you value most about dueling. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

However, when you ask her about the threats, she will confidently state that she hasn’t received any, adding that the last person foolish enough to threaten her learned a very important lesson. She will then suggest that you speak with Ludo Bagman.

Proceed to the Commenatery Box when you are ready to meet with Ludo. There, you will be greeted by Murphy. The dialogues will slightly differ if you don’t know Murphy.  These lines will differ based on which field you chose to focus on.

Soon after, Ludo will approach you and introduce himself, mentioning that there’s a lot to be done and that you should get to work immediately. However, you’ll tell him that before starting, you have something important to discuss with him.

However, Ludo will dodge your question and begin talking about Quidditch, adding that he needs your and Murphy’s help to evaluate student players so he can form two capable teams for the upcoming exhibition.

To evaluate players, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

You will decide that the captain of one team should be Erika Rath and the captain of the other team Skye Parkin, as they are the best Quidditch players at Hogwarts. However, when you see how Ludo has arranged the teams, you’ll point out that he has placed almost all of the strongest players on one team, which isn’t fair since the teams should be balanced. Despite this, Ludo will stick to his decision.

Then, he will ask you what you appreciate the most about Quidditch. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Following that, you’ll mention the rumor you’ve heard. The dialogue here will differ depending on whether you’ve chosen a discreet or public approach. In any case, Ludo will suggest that you forget about it and focus on the event itself. He’ll then leave, but you’ll find his response quite suspicious since you didn’t really get an answer.
