The Sphinx Club Challenge Part 2

Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough section for The Sphinx Club Challenge Part 2 of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery! In the previous part, you and your friends worked together to organize a special event for the Sphinx Club, aiming to host a meteor shower viewing at Hogwarts.

As you focused on combining the four magical fields of Charms, Transfiguration, History of Magic, and Astronomy, your plans were met with unexpected challenges. Threatening messages surfaced, indicating someone was trying to sabotage the event. 

With the help of your professors, you started to piece together the clues, realizing that a mystery was unfolding right under your nose. Now, in Part 2, you’ll dive deeper into the mystery, face new obstacles, and continue your quest to protect the event while uncovering the identity of the person behind these sinister threats. Get ready for even more thrilling twists and turns!

In this adventure, there will be slight dialogue variations depending on which subject you choose to focus on within the Sphinx Club. We chose Astronomy, but aside from a few lines of dialogue, the overall story remains the same—so there’s no need to worry. Enjoy our guide, and greetings from Hogwarts Cafe!

Go to the Transfiguration Classroom to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say. 

When you arrive, Talbott will be waiting for you. There will be slight differences in the dialogue if you have chosen to focus on Transfiguration. You’ll inform Talbott about the threatening message you received and ask if he has noticed anything suspicious. However, he hasn’t seen anything unusual. 

He’ll then ask for your opinion on who might be sending these threatening messages. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

Soon after, Professor McGonagall will begin the lesson and inform you that she has spoken with Professor Sinistra. The two of them have created a prototype of the special optical device you requested. 

However, she explains that you will need several of them to ensure that everyone can watch the meteor shower without any issues.

She will ask you to listen carefully as she explains how to transfigure certain objects into telescopes, which will be essential for the event. To learn new transfiguration, you need to earn five stars within one hour. All five stars are required to pass. 

Bonus progress actions are tied to Talbott and your character. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

Trace the wand movement to transfigure into a telescope.

Your Transfiguration will succeed, and your item will transform into a telescope.

After a brief conversation with Talbott about Animagus forms, where you’ll also mention your own Animagus form if you have one, he will ask you what you value the most about Transfiguration. There are three different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

This option will only be available if you have chosen Transfiguration as the field you are focusing on. Following that, you will decide to return to the Astronomy Tower since Professor Sinistra is giving a lesson about the upcoming meteor shower.

Proceed to the Astronomy Tower when you are ready. When you arrive, you’ll notice that everyone is already aware of the threatening message you received, and you’ll find them with Professor Sinistra, who is calming the entire class. Chiara won’t be sure if the message is a real warning or just a trick, and she’ll ask you about it.

There are two different options to choose from. These options will influence some dialogue that will follow, but they won’t impact the story.

In any case, you’ll agree that the threatening message shouldn’t ruin your enjoyment of the event, but that you still need to be cautious. You’ll also receive additional lines of dialogue if you’ve completed the Lone Wolf adventure.

If you’ve completed the Lone Wolf adventure, you will have a brief discussion about it with Chiara, but I won’t spoil everything for you—it’s part of the adventure and should be experienced firsthand. Additionally, if you’ve chosen to focus on Astronomy, Chiara will ask you what you value most about Astronomy, and you’ll have a choice to respond.

In any case, the professor will interrupt you as she begins the lesson on the upcoming meteor shower and will ask you to listen carefully. To study meteor showers, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. Three stars are required to pass. 

Bonus progress actions are tied to Professor Sinistra. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. Slide the screen left and right to check all available actions. 

Even though it is an annual event, this year’s meteor shower is expected to be especially spectacular. The professor added that this meteor shower occurs rarely, only once in decades. She will also mention that the main Hogwarts telescope plays an important role as it will gather crucial information about the meteor shower’s outburst. 

Soon after, the lesson will conclude, and you will decide to go to Professor Flitwick’s office to review which charm you might need, just in case.

Go to the Charms Classroom to continue the story. Upon arriving, you’ll notice the speech bubbles above some of the characters. Tap on those if you’re curious to see what they have to say.

There will also be a difference in dialogue depending on whether you chose Charms as your focus. In any case, you will inform the professor about the rumors concerning the saboteur. He will also mention that he has enchanted your telescope, so nothing will escape your notice now. 

Additionally, he will say that he is willing to teach each of you a spell of your choice. Given that you fear an enemy may try to sabotage the challenge, he will offer you two options: Meteolojinx Recanto or Immobulus. 

Choose the one that suits you best. Immobulus is used to stop enemies in their tracks, while Meteolojinx fixes the weather. Choose whichever one you prefer, as you will need both spells.

After you choose the spell you want to be taught, the lesson about that spell will follow. The professor will explain its uses, and you will practice casting the spell under his guidance. You’ll get a chance to understand the incantation, the wand movement, and the effect it has in various situations

To practise a charm, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Unfortunately, in this task, there are no bonus progress actions. So, proceed with the wand movement to cast the spell you selected. In this case, it would be Meteolojinx, which will work to fix the weather or any related environmental disruptions.

After you’ve mastered your new spell, Badeea and Ben will approach you. If you haven’t met Badeea yet, you’ll have the opportunity to do so, and during the dialogue, you’ll be introduced to each other. Additionally, if you’ve completed Year 6, Chapter 18, you’ll receive a few specific lines of dialogue related to that.

If Charms is the field you’ve focused on, you’ll be given the choice to answer a question about what you value most about Charms. 

Following that, you’ll tell Badeea and Ben to let you know if they notice anything unusual, and you’ll all decide to head to History of Magic class. 

Proceed to the History of Magic Classroom when you are ready. When you arrive, Merula and Professor Binns will be waiting for you. Professor Binns will mention that this meteor shower occurs once a century. Depending on your choice to focus on History of Magic, you’ll notice some differences in the dialogues. You’ll also get an additional choice where Merula will ask you what you value most about History of Magic.

Merula will also mention that she’s started diving deep into historical research and will ask for your help in reviewing her findings, though she will do so in her own way. If you’re dating Merula, you’ll also get an extra line of dialogue.

To examine Merula’s research, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass. Since this task requires a lot of energy, it is recommended to start it with a full energy bar.

Bonus progress actions are tied to Merula and the meteor poster. Prioritize these actions to save some energy. 

Then, she will show you a flyer she found.

In the past, there was also an event prepared for the meteor shower viewing, and you noticed the name Sklyar Falme, who is actually the founder of the Sphinx Club. This means he was also the host of the meteor shower viewing event. 

Merula will point out that she found an old flyer related to this event, which matches the threatening note you received. You will notice that the flyer contains the same warning as the note: Beware, one of your own will betray you and ruin the Sphinx Club Challenge! The note is signed by someone called “The Voice of Hogwarts.”

Additionally, the ring of blooming flowers on the crest in the flyer looks exactly like the insignia on the warning note you received. This discovery will impress you greatly, and Merula will then ask you which historical connection you find the most intriguing.

You will thank Merula for her help, but your conversation will be interrupted by Chiara, who will deliver some bad news: Someone has sabotaged the school telescope.

But the sabotage of the school telescope marks a critical turning point. As you and your friends prepare for what’s to come, it’s clear that someone is determined to ruin the Sphinx Club Challenge. The questions grow deeper, and it’s up to you to uncover the truth before it’s too late.
