The Tournament of Clubs Part 2
Introduction
Hello everyone, welcome to Part 2 of our Walkthrough for The Tournament of Clubs Adventure of Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery. During the previous part, Barnaby showed you the book he found at the bottom of the lagoon in the Hippogriff clubhouse. The book was a journal of Olin Oakwood, a founding member of the Hippogriff club. It had information about the tournament that happened years ago between the founding members of the three clubs. Inspired by the discovery, Barnaby and you decided to hold a similar tournament.
You went to the Sphinx Club to see if they would be interested in joining the competition. Merula was intrigued by your request, but she wanted to duel you before accepting it. After defeating her in a duel, she agreed to have the Sphinx Club join the tournament. You then went to the Dragon Club where Jae asked you to help him catch a Golden Snitch that was flying around.
After you did that, he agreed to have the Dragon Club participate in the contest. Lastly, you met with the members of all three clubs at the training grounds, where you went over the rules of the tournament. Now you can continue where you left off and decide which club you want to represent in the competition.
Once you start this part, you will be met with a waiting period of three hours. Since you will probably be low on energy at this point, it is recommended to wait, and let your energy recharge in the meantime.
[Disclaimer: This walkthrough will feature the gameplay from the perspective of a Year 7 student. Since the adventure is available for students of Year 5 and above, the star and attribute requirements for certain tasks might be different for you, depending on your current progress of the main story.]

Walkthrough

Proceed to the Hippogriff clubhouse once the waiting time is over. Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the characters and see what they have to say. Barnaby will welcome you to the Hippogriff Club.
The following lines will differ, based on whether or not you are a member of the Hippogriff Club. Also, if you completed A Bad Omen adventure, you will get an extra line of dialogue.

You will ask Barnaby if he found Oakwood’s journal in the clubhouse. He will nod and say that he found it at the bottom of the lagoon.

He will be curious to know how the journal ended up there. Barnaby will wonder if you have any guesses. There are two options to choose from. This choice will be referenced later on, but it won’t have any significant impact on the story, so feel free to pick either option.

Barnaby will then tell you that he read some more of Oakwood’s journal. He’ll say there is a section of the journal that you need to know about.
After asking him about it, he’ll tell you to go with him to the Divination area, where he can show you that section of the journal.

Reading about Oakwood requires earning five stars within one hour. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if your energy bar is empty.

There are bonus progress actions tied to Barnaby and the journal. Focus on those if you want to save a bit of energy.

You will learn that Olin Oakwood wasn’t friends with Margaretta Ironbark or Skylar Flame.

According to the journal, the two of them challenged Olin to the Trials because they were jealous and wanted to show how powerful they are.

Also, their study group fell apart after Oakwood defeated them and won the tournament. That led to forming of the three clubs.

Barnaby will admit he had no clue that the clubs were founded because of a rivalry. Still, he will be glad that there is no hatred between the clubs now.

He will hope that you will decide to represent the Hippogriff Club in the tournament.

You will thank him for showing you around the Hippogriff clubhouse. Shortly after, you will leave the place and head to the Sphinx Club to meet with Merula.
Proceed there when you are ready to continue. Once you arrive, you will notice the speech bubbles above some of the club members. Tap on those if you are curious to see what they have to say.
You will thank Merula for agreeing to meet with you. You’ll say that you are still considering which club to represent in the tournament.

The Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts will try to convince you to represent the Sphinx Club.

If you are a member of the Sphinx Club, you will get an extra line of dialogue.

You will notice that she is pretty confident that her team will win the competition.

She’ll suggest that you take a look around and see everything the Sphinx Club has to offer.

Exploring the clubhouse requires earning five stars within three hours. Three stars are needed to pass.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There is a bonus progress action tied to one of the books from a nearby shelf. Focus on it if you want to save a bit of energy.

While exploring the clubhouse, you will stumble upon a manuscript written by Sphinx Club founder, Skylar Flame. Its title will sound interesting, to say the least.

Merula will ask you to tell her what’s written in the manuscript.

Upon reading it, you will realize that Skylar Flame considered Olin Oakwood to be a liar and a cheat who pretended to be her friend.

Merula will say that she had a feeling the Trials of Iron, Oak, and Flame wasn’t just a friendly competition. You’ll say that things don’t really add up and you will tell her about the things you read in Olin’s journal.

The Most Powerful Witch at Hogwarts will be interested to hear your opinion on the matter. There are three options to choose from. This choice won’t significantly impact the story, so you can feel free to pick whichever option you prefer.

Merula will point out that there’s more to this story than meets the eye.

You will agree with her and say that you are going to try to learn more about what happened. Shortly after, you will leave the place.
Proceed to the Dragon clubhouse once you are ready to continue. Upon arriving, you will be able to interact with some of the club members and see what they have to say.
You will thank Jae for agreeing to meet with you. You’ll tell him that you are soon to decide which club to represent in the tournament.

Jae will say that you belong in the Dragon Club.

He will praise your dueling skills and adventurous spirit. The following lines will differ, based on whether you gave the Golden Snitch to Jae or used it as leverage.

You will say that you are trying to find out what really happened during the original tournament of clubs. You’ll tell Jae about the things you’ve discovered so far.

You will ask if he’s come across any artifacts that could help you solve the mystery. Unfortunately, he hasn’t. However, he will suggest taking a look around. Perhaps that way, you might find the answers you’re looking for…

Searching the Dragon Club requires earning five stars within three hours. All five stars are needed to pass, so avoid starting this task if you are low on energy.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There is an action with bonus progress tied to one of the statues. Prioritize it if you want to save some energy.

While searching the place, you will notice something hidden within the flames of a nearby torch.

Jae will find it odd since he searched the place many times before.

He will figure out that the hidden object is most likely under some sort of protection spell. Sadly, you won’t have anything to protect you from the flames, so grabbing the item will seem rather difficult.

Jae will smile and say that he has a Fire Protection Potion on him. You’ll be surprised to hear that.

He will say that he would normally charge you for such a rare and desperately needed item.
However, he will agree to give you the potion. The following few lines will differ, based on whether you gave the Golden Snitch to Jae, or used it as leverage.

You’ll thank him before drinking the potion. Shortly after, you will grab the object hidden within the flames. It will be an old photograph of Olin Oakwood and Margaretta Ironbark.

Jae will notice there’s something written on it.

You will be even more confused after reading it.

Your previous choice will take effect here.

Jae will be confident that you have what it takes to solve the mystery. Unfortunately, the mystery will have to wait since you’ll soon need to decide which club to represent in the tournament.
Proceed to the training grounds when you are ready to continue. Barnaby will be happy to see you arrive. You’ll tell him that you explored all three of the clubhouses.

Barnaby and Merula will mention some of the things you discovered.

You’ll tell them about the photo of Olin and Margaretta you found.

Merula will point out that finding out what really happened during the Trials of Iron, Oak, and Flame might be nearly impossible. However, there is another mystery that can easily be solved.

Barnaby will say that they’re all eager to find out which club you are planning to represent. He’ll ask you to talk with them before making your final decision.

You will like his idea. Considering your options requires earning five stars within three hours. Since all five stars are needed to pass, it is not recommended to start this task if you are low on energy.

Be sure to slide the screen left and right to see all the available actions. There are bonus progress actions tied to Merula, Andre, and your character. Focus on those if you want to save as much energy as possible.

After considering your options, you will get to choose a club you want to represent in the tournament. This is the most important choice in the entire adventure. It will affect the rest of the adventure, and will more than likely be referenced in the future. There is no wrong choice here. Simply pick the club you wish to represent.

You will gain some experience with the club you chose.

The following lines will differ, based on your choice.

Now that you’ve made up your mind, everything is ready for the tournament to start. You’ll decide to gather up your teammates and head to the courtyard to compete in the first trial of the Tournament of Clubs.

This will conclude Part 2 of the Tournament of Clubs adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your rewards. You will receive 3 Gems and 1 Chocolate Frog.
You’ve finally decided which club to represent in the tournament. What will happen during the competition? Will you and your teammates win? Find out in the next part of this adventure!
Thank you for reading.
