Walkthrough
Once you are ready, go to the Kitchens to prepare food. When you arrive, you will meet Jae. You’ll find out that he is very good at organizing food for the dance.
You will ask him to help you with preparing the food. He will wonder why he should help you. If you are dating Jae, you will have a third option. In that case, it is recommended to pick that one. If you are not dating Jae, pick whichever option you like.
He will propose to start with pasties. He’ll ask you what kind of pasties would be better for the ball: savoury or sweet. The pasties you choose here will appear during the Ball. If you like Jae, choose the first option. If you let Jae choose, he will choose savoury.
Shortly after, you will begin making pasties. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to complete the task.
Bonus progress action is tied to the bowl on the left. Prioritize this action to save some energy.
After you are finished, Jae will decide to stay and make sandwiches while you help other members of the planning committee. The reason for him to stay will differ, depending on your last choice.
After this, if you’ve told Tonks during Part 1 that you’ll dance with Jae, you will have a special dialogue with him where you’ll invite him to the dance. If not, you will ask Jae if he has any plans for the big night.
He will mention that the dances are the perfect opportunity for mischief. You’ll ask Jae to stay out of trouble, although he won’t look persuaded by your words.
You’ll recall that Penny said she might have trouble narrowing down the music choices, so you will decide to help her.
Go to the Library to meet Penny. Once you are there, you can see many hard-working students studying. If you wish to check what’s on their mind, tap on the speech bubbles above their heads. Slide the screen to the right, to see another speech bubble.
Penny will happily accept your help. Although Chiara helped her with narrowing down the choices, she’ll still have problems determining the right flow for the evening.
To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to pass.
Bonus progress actions are tied to the third-year Ravenclaw student and Penny. Don’t forget to slide the screen to see more available actions.
Soon after, you’ll succeed in finding the perfect order for the music. The only thing left is to decide which song to play as the last song of the evening. The song you choose now will be the last song during the Ball later.
If you like Penny, choose the second option. On the other hand, if you like Chiara, choose the first option. If you let Penny choose, she will choose a love ballad by Celestina.
If you’ve told Tonks during Part 1 that you’ll dance with Penny, you will have a special dialogue with her where you’ll invite her to the dance. If you date Penny, you will have an alternative dialogue. If you haven’t chosen Penny when Tonks asked you, Penny will dance with Diego, no matter if you date her or not.
You’ll decide to check how the decorations are going in the Great Hall. Go to the Great Hall to check Merula’s progress with decorations.
Once you arrive you’ll see that there are no decorations at all and you will meet Badeea. She’ll tell you that it is still not too late to stop them. You will be puzzled by what she meant. She will try to explain to you what happened.
To complete this task you need to earn five stars within three hours (eight hours for Year 6 Chapter 24). Three stars are required to pass.
There is a bonus progress action tied to Badeea. Prioritize her actions to save some energy.
Badeea will tell you that Merula and Barnaby argued and they stormed off to the Training Grounds to have a duel. Andre tried to stop them.
Badeea was left alone to work on decorations and she’ll be worried that she is going to mess up and ruin the dance. You will get to choose how to reassure her. If you like Badeea, it is recommended to go with the first option.
Badeea will stay in the Great Hall to start with the decorations while you will go to calm down Merula and Barnaby. Badeea will thank you for your effort in organizing the ball.
The following dialogue will differ. If you’ve told Tonks during Part 1 that you’ll dance with Badeea, you will have a special dialogue with her where you’ll invite her to the dance. If you date Badeea, you will have an alternative dialogue. If you haven’t chosen Badeea when Tonks asked you, she will go to the dance with Tulip, no matter if you date her or not.
When you are ready, go to the Training Grounds. When you arrive you will witness Merula and Barnaby preparing to duel, while having a heated conversation.
You can side with Merula or Barnaby, depending on whom you like more, or try to solve the conflict diplomatically.
Whatever you choose, it won’t work, and you’ll become sterner with your approach.
Finally, after you mention that the ball may be ruined by their actions, Merula and Barnaby will accept to tell you what happened from their perspectives. To complete this task, you need to earn five stars within three hours. All five stars are required to complete this task.
Actions with bonus progress are tied to Merula, Barnaby, and the wand on the ground on the ground near Merula. prioritize those actions to save some energy.
You’ll figure out that Barnaby won’t listen to Merula’s orders because she is arrogant in her tone and insults him all the time. You’ll understand why Barnaby feels insulted and you’ll understand that Merula has a lot of pressure on her since she has a responsible task.
You’ll advise Merula to keep her cool when assigning tasks, and you’ll advise Barnaby to try listening for what Merula means, not necessarily what she says.
Luckily, both sides will calm down and they’ll decide they won’t fight each other. Shortly after, Merula will go to the Main Hall to continue with decorations.
The following lines will differ depending on your choice when talking with Tonks during Part 1. If you told her that you are going to dance with Barnaby, you will have a special dialogue with him where you’ll invite him to the dance. If not, Barnaby will tell you that he and Liz are going to the ball as friends.
You will ask Barnaby where Andre is. He will tell you that after he failed to stop the debate he went to the Transfiguration classroom.
When you are ready, go to the Transfiguration Classroom to meet Andre.
You will update Andre with the good news that happened so far but you won’t manage to improve his mood. He’ll explain that he wished to be a great committee leader but he only got drama. These problems also got in the way of his mask-making. Your friend will be getting overwhelmed.
You’ll offer him help with the masks. To complete the next task, you need to earn five stars within eight hours. All five stars are required to complete the task. It is not recommended to start this task without a full energy bar.
Bonus progress actions are tied to Andre and the mask next to him. Prioritize those actions to save some energy.
Finally, you and Andre will make some lovely masks.
You will conclude that Andre is a perfectionist and a very responsible person. Because of all the troubles as a committee leader, he couldn’t achieve his plans with the masks and outfits. Luckily, the masks look great thanks to you, but he still needs to make tuxedos and dresses.
Andre will tell you that he is considering stepping down as committee leader but he doesn’t want to upset everyone. He will ask what you would do in his position. If you like Andre, choose the first option.
Either way, you will reassure him you’ll find a replacement when he steps down.
The following dialogue will differ. If you’ve told Tonks during Part 1 that you are going to dance with Andre, you will have a special dialogue with him where you’ll invite him to the dance. He will even promise to make special masks for you two. If you date Andre, you will have an alternative dialogue. If you haven’t chosen Andre when Tonks asked you, Andre will go alone to the dance, no matter if you date him or not.
You’ll recall that Tonks doesn’t have any task at all and she’s very excited about the dance. You’ll try to ask her to be a new committee leader.
This will conclude Part 2 of Valentine’s Day Masquerade Adventure. Hit the Collect button to claim your reward. You will receive 3 Gems and 1 Chocolate Frog.
Will Tonks accept her new role as a committee leader? Will you find more trouble while preparing for the dance? Find out in the next part!
